Adam Davis was sentenced to death by the State of Florida for the murder of his girlfriends, Valessa Robinson, mother. According to court documents Adam Davis, Valessa Robinson and Jon Whispel planned the murder of Valessa’s mother Vicki Robinson. On the night of the murder the threesome would attack Vicki Robinson and tried a couple of ways to kill her before ultimately stabbing the woman to death. The threesome would steal Vicki van and hit the road. Valessa Robinson who was fifteen years old at the time was believed to be missing by the police and an alert was put out. The threesome would be found in Texas and later extradited back to Florida. Adam Davis would receive the harshest penalty as he was sentenced to death. Jon Whispel would spend twenty years in prison before his release and Valessa Robinson would serve fifteen years before being released.

Vicki Robinson’s murder in 1998 shocked Carrollwood and the Tampa Bay area. The crime also gained national attention.
Davis, Robinson’s daughter Valessa and another friend Jon Whispel plotted to kill Vicki Robinson. At the time, Davis was 19 and Valessa was 15.
Investigators said they killed Vicki because she didn’t approve of Valessa’s relationship and was planning to send her daughter to a Christian reform school.
Authorities found the three teens injected Vicki with bleach, stabbed her and stuffed her body in a garbage can.
Davis was put on death row. Whispel was sentenced to 25 years and is set to be released in 2020. Valessa was released from Homestead Correctional Institution in 2013.
