The heartbroken sister of serial killer Joanna Dennehy’s fiancee today urged the authorities to call off their marriage, warning “if they get wed, there will be blood on your hands.”
Dennehy proposed to street robber Hayley Palmer, 36, after they fell in love behind bars at the privately-run HMP Bronzefield women’s prison in England.
But Palmer’s sister Michelle has demanded the prison governor refuses the request because she fears any marriage will end in either Dennehy harming her sibling, or Hayley taking her own life.
Michelle, 37, learned of their wedding plans when Hayley wrote to her recently from prison saying she was in love with the murderer who “protected” her.
She added: “I can and do trust her with my life.”
But Michelle wants the wedding stopped to keep her sister away from the triple murderer.
Michelle told The Sun: “I want to know how the governor can go to sleep at night if the wedding goes ahead.”
“He’s going to go to hell if he allows this marriage to happen. They have allowed a toxic relationship to happen.”
“They shouldn’t let people like this get together. Joanna is a psychopath. It’s not right and I’m really worried for my sister’s safety.”
She said: “Hayley told me it was her idea to end their lives because the governor was going to split them up.”
Dennehy is one of only two female prisoners serving a whole life sentence in the UK.
The other is Rose West.
Dennehy stabbed three men to death over a 10-day period in March 2013, before knifing two others, both of whom survived.
Branded “pure evil” by criminology experts, Dennehy said she committed the murders because it was “moreish and fun.”
Her victims’ bodies were found in ditches.
Dennehy’s first victim, Lukasz Slaboszewski, was her roommate.
She convinced him to meet up, implying that they would have sex.
Instead, she stabbed him in the heart and dumped his body.
The following week 56-year-old military veteran John Chapman was knifed to death by Dennehy.
Later that day she murdered her landlord and lover Kevin Lee, 48.
His body — dressed in a black sequin dress — was found the following day with stab wounds in the neck and chest.
It was reported that Dennehy had wanted to kill nine men in total, to be like killers Bonnie and Clyde.
She was caught two days after going on the run when police launched a triple murder probe.
At her trail, the judge told her: “Although you pleaded guilty, you’ve made it quite clear you have no remorse.”
“You are a cruel, calculating, selfish and manipulative serial killer.”
Prisoners can marry under the European Convention on Human Rights but British law dictates they must first apply to the prison governor for permission.
An HMP Bronzefield spokesperson: “We don’t comment on individuals.
