The Murder Of Bobby Kent
The Murder Of Bobby Kent shocked Florida and the rest of the United States when it occurred in July 1993. According to court documents Bobby Kent and Marty Puccio grew up together since the third grade but according to Puccio he was dominated by the larger Kent. Marty Puccio began to date Lisa Connelly during the start of 1993 and soon after she became jealous of the amount of time that he spent with Bobby and she was not happy in the way that Kent would treat him. Lisa Connelly would introduce Bobby to a friend of hers Alice Willis but the relationship would not last as she claimed that Kent was abusive towards her. Soon after they began dating Lisa Connelly would become pregnant with Marty Pucio child and the plan to separate him and Kent became stronger.
The idea of murder began to surface. Connelly allegedly told Alicia Willis that Bobby had planned to go to where she was and murder her and the Alicia’s child (previous relationship) unless she returned and began to date Kent again. Lisa Connelly would have a number of friends over and they would discuss murdering Bobby Kent. The people at the meeting were Lisa Connelly, Alicia Willis, Heather Swallers and Donald Semenec.
The first murder attempt would occur in the middle of July where the group of teens would lure Bobby Kent to a new housing construction and Lisa Connelly was suppose to shoot Kent with a gun she stole from her mother however this never happened as Connelly was unable to go through with it
The group the next day would meet Derek Kaufman who saw himself as a hitman who helped the group to come up with a new plan. Lisa Connelly cousin Derek Dzvirko would join the group. Derek was unable to come up with a gun quick enough so the group decided to use baseball bats.
On the night of the murder Bobby Kent was convinced to go out by Marty Puccio and the group in two cars drove out to a construction site. When Marty Puccio back was turned he would be attacked by Semenec by being stabbed in the knife. With Bobby asking Marty to help him he was attacked by Puccio who stabbed him in the stomach. Kent would be attacked continually by the male teens until Marty would slit his throat and bang his head off the ground. Derek Kaufman would deliver the final blow with a baseball bat to the head. The body of Bobby Kent was pushed closer to the water in the hope that his body would be eaten by alligators.
The days after the murder the major of those who were at the murder scene would confess to people outside of the group of what they had done. It would not take long for police to learn about the rumours circulating and soon the group of teen killers would all be arrested.
Marty Puccio
Martin “Marty” Puccio was convicted of murder and initially sentenced to death however this would later be changed to life in prison with a chance of parole. In 2019 Marty Puccio is an inmate at Desoto Annex in Florida

Lisa Connelly
Lisa Connelly was initially sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole however her sentence would be overturned and she received a twenty two year sentence and would be released in 2004
Derek Kaufman
Derek Kaufman was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years plus a consecutive 30 year sentence for conspiracy. As of 2019 Derek Kaufman is incarcerated at the Tomoka Correctional Institute in Florida
