According to sources Troy Driver has now been charged with an open count of murder in the case of Naomi Irion. Naomi Irion was last seen a few weeks ago when a man, alleged to be Troy Driver, forced his way into her car and drove off. Troy Driver would eventually be arrested and charged with the kidnapping of Naomi and a few days afterwards her body would be found in a shallow grave. Now Troy Driver has been charged with her murder.
This is not the first time Driver has been charged with murder for he spent a long time in California prison for being an accomplice to a murder when he was seventeen years old. As mentioned this is still breaking however I would not be surprised if the Nevada District Attorney does not seek the death penalty unless a plea deal is already in process.

Troy Driver, 41, is now charged and booked on open murder with a deadly weapon in the death of 18-year-old Naomi Irion.
Driver was initially arrested on March 25 on a kidnapping charge but he’s now facing charges of open murder, burglary and destruction of evidence, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office announced on Friday.
Irion’s body was found in a gravesite in a remote area of Churchill County on Tuesday, March 29 after investigators were led to the area based on a tip. DNA evidence collected from the scene was determined to be that of Irion’s on Wednesday. Her death was ruled a homicide on Thursday. Authorities said her cause of death is known but they’re not releasing it because it could compromise the investigation.
A criminal complaint obtained by News 4 & Fox 11 alleged the “defendant did abduct Naomi Irion and did hold or detain her for the purpose of committing sexual assault and/or for the purpose of killing her.”
Irion was abducted from the Walmart parking lot in Fernley during the early morning hours of March 12. A man is seen on surveillance video coaxing her to the passenger side of her vehicle and driving off with her inside. Her car was found a short distance from the Walmart parking lot days after she was reported missing.
Driver was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in a 1997 murder and several other violent crimes in California, according to court records and newspaper stories. Driver pleaded guilty to three charges of second-degree robbery, four firearms charges, one charge of second-degree burglary and one charge of accessory to murder after the fact.
The accessory to murder charge stemmed from a 1997 case where Driver, then 17, helped dispose of the body of a methamphetamine dealer shot and killed by his girlfriend.
Driver is in custody at the Lyon County Jail in Yerington. He’s expected to appear before a judge next on April 5 for a pre-trial hearing.
