Taylor Schabusiness Gets Life For Brutal Murder

Taylor Schabusiness

Taylor Schabusiness has learned that she will never be a free woman again after being sentenced to life in prison without the purpose of parole for the murder of Shad Thyrion

According to court documents Taylor Schabusiness would murder Shad Thyrion before dismembering his body and scattering parts around the Thyrion household. Shad mother would find her son’s head in a bucket before calling police.

Taylor Schabusiness would be arrested and would attempt to put forth an insanity defense which the jury did not buy. Her lawyer claimed that her heavy drug abuse led to the disturbing murder. Of course this was her second lawyer as the first was attacked by Schabusiness during the trial

After being found guilty the judge would pass sentence of life without parole and the State of Wisconsin is safer because of the sentence

Taylor Schabusiness Case

A Wisconsin woman convicted of killing and dismembering a former boyfriend and scattering his body parts at various locations was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison without parole.

A Brown County judge sentenced Taylor Schabusiness, 25, for the February 2022 killing of Shad Thyrion, 24. A jury had convicted her in July of first-degree intentional homicide, third-degree sexual assault and mutilating a corpse.

Schabusiness had pleaded not guilty and not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect, but jury also found that she wasn’t mentally ill when she killed Thyrion

Prosecutors said Thyrion and Schabusiness had smoked methamphetamine in the basement of Thyrion’s mother’s Green Bay home before Schabusiness strangled, decapitated and dismembered him. She then left parts of his body throughout the house and in a vehicle, authorities said.

Schabusiness was arrested on Feb. 23, 2022, after Thyrion’s mother called police to her house after she discovered her son’s head in a bucket in the basement.

Brown County Circuit Judge Thomas Walsh said Tuesday before announcing her sentence that “the offense in this case can’t be overstated,” the Green Bay Press-Gazette reported.

“You seem to run out of superlatives. Where the victim’s remains are cut up? These actions are foreign. They shock the community; there aren’t really words for it,” he said.

Schabusiness’ defense attorney, Christopher Froelich, told the court she would speak on her own behalf before Walsh sentenced her. But when the judge asked Schabusiness if there was anything she’d like to say, she replied simply, “No, there isn’t.”

“She’s not a monster,” Froelich told the court, adding that at age 25 there’s still time for his client to be rehabilitated, WBAY-TV reported.

In February, Schabusiness attacked her previous attorney during a hearing before a deputy wrestled her to the courtroom floor.

Erica Lawson Faces Death Penalty In Kentucky

Erica Lawson kentucky

Erica Lawson is a twenty one year old woman from Kentucky who has been charged with the murder of her seventeen month old daughter Elena Hembree and now prosecutors have announced they are seeking the death penalty in this horrific case

According to police reports seventeen month old Elena Hembree was found unresponsive after the little girl was sexually assaulted and badly beaten. Unfortunately the infant would die days later in the hospital.

Police in Kentucky have announced they are using DNA to determine who else may have had a role in Elena Hembree death.

Erica Lawson faces a host of charges including murder, failure to report child abuse, first-degree criminal abuse, and first-degree wanton endangerment.

Apparently the little girl’s uncle went to the police before Elena Hembree died saying that he saw bruises and burns on his niece. However police were unable to locate Erica Lawson or Elena Hembree. Time they found her it was too late

Kentucky prosecutors filed noticed Tuesday they plan to seek the death penalty against a young Bell County woman accused of murdering her 17-month-old daughter.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Lisa Fugate filed notice Tuesday in Bell County Circuit Court that she would seek to prove aggravating circumstances in the death of Elena Hembree that merit a possible death sentence for Erica Lawson.

In this case, the top prosecutor alleges, the victim’s status as a child and the fact that the killing was deliberate merit consideration of the death penalty.

The Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office confirmed Tuesday afternoon they’d filed notice in the Bell County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office to pursue death.

Fugate had suggested earlier this summer that her office might seek to execute Lawson, 21, if she’s found guilty of murder.

The indictment alleges Lawson failed to help Elena when she was unable to breathe. It also accuses Lawson of abusing her and leaving bruises, as well as using drugs while she was supposed to be caring for the child.

Lawson was indicted last month in Bell County for murder, failure to report child abuse, first-degree criminal abuse, and first-degree wanton endangerment.

Authorities said Elena suffered severe injuries in late July and was taken to Middlesboro ARH Hospital. Due to the extent of her injuries, she was flown to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Elena died July 30.

Authorities said the toddler, 17-month-old Elena Hembree, died in the hospital from her injuries after she was sexually assaulted. Authorities said she was severely injured and was taken to the Middlesboro ARH Hospital on Friday, July 28. Due to the extent of her injuries, she was flown to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Elena died on July 30.

“In my time with the commonwealth, this is one of the most severe cases of abuse, specifically because that baby is 17 months old at that time,” Caley Ayers from the Middlesboro Police Department said.

Police arrested the mother, 21-year-old Erica Lawson, for manslaughter, criminal abuse of a child under 12, wanton endangerment, and failure to report child abuse. She waived a hearing on Aug. 8, so the case was sent directly to a Bell County Grand Jury.

The grand jury returned an indictment on Aug. 22, formally charging Erica Lawson for murder, failure to report child abuse, first-degree criminal abuse, and first-degree wanton endangerment.

The indictment said Erica Lawson failed to help Elena when she was unable to breathe. It also accused Lawson of abusing her and leaving bruises, as well as using drugs while she was taking care of the child.

Lawson will stay in custody on a $1 million bond. Commonwealth Attorney Lisa Fugate said they could now push for the death penalty against Lawson. Kentucky has 26 people on death row and has only executed three people since 1976, according to the Death Penalty Information Center.

On Aug. 4, the Middlesboro Police Department said they were using DNA test results to identify other suspects in the young girl’s death. Fugate said they were able to expedite six DNA samples and results are expected to return in as soon as three weeks.

Police previously said the child’s uncle went to authorities several weeks ago after suspecting that someone burned her. However, police “couldn’t find the kid and the uncle did not know where the kid was at the time.”

The Middlesboro community also mourned the death of the 17-month-old on Aug. 5, gathering to reflect on her life and to push for reforming child abuse laws.

Calese Crowder Sex Offender Caught On TikTok

Calese Crowder

Calese Crowder is a convicted sex offender from California who has been arrested yet again for sniffing women at a book store and this time it was caught on tape and uploaded to the popular social media site TikTok

According to police reports two women caught Calese Crowder crawling around a local Barnes and Nobles in Burbank California where he would stalk and sniff female customers. Two customers would catch him in the act and the videos would be uploaded to TikTok

Calese Crowder has been arrested over fifty times since 2005 and has received nothing more than a slap on the wrist for the majority of the cases including last Friday when he was caught peeking into a family home at their young children. He would be released after two days in custody.

Calese Crowder was also arrested earlier this year for failing to register as a sex offender but somehow the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence. Not sure I get this as either he registered or failed to register it seems pretty black and white to me

Calese Crowder Other News

Following yet another arrest for Barnes & Noble “sniffer” and career sex predator Calese Crowder, one of his victims is demanding that Los Angeles authorities take the perverted prowler more seriously.

“I’m relieved that he was arrested again, but I unfortunately don’t have high expectations with him being kept there for long,” said Michaela Witter, one of at least two women who caught Crowder on video sneaking up behind them in the Burbank bookstore.

She was right. He walked out of jail again Friday, with Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon’s office telling Fox News Digital they did not have enough evidence to prosecute his latest allied crime – failing to register as a sex offender.

After Witter posted about her encounter on TikTok, the video went viral, and she said at least 20 other women reached out to her with similar stories.

“I’ve talked with others who were affected by Calese Crowder, who suffer from PTSD because of him, don’t feel safe going out because of him. And I want to know why the justice system isn’t taking this as seriously as it is,” she told Fox News Digital.

The repeat offender has been in and out of police custody since at least 2005, records show. He served time in state prison on burglary and robbery charges and on Tuesday pleaded no contest to peeping and prowling. He was freed from custody hours later despite a 60-day jail sentence under California’s laws.

He was arrested Friday after allegedly peeping into a family’s house, where there were children inside, Aug. 6. He was also released earlier this year partway through a one-year jail sentence for indecent exposure in Santa Clarita.

“This has been happening for over 13 years, so they either need to get him serious help by keeping him in a facility that will do that or keeping him in jail where he can’t harm anyone else,” Witter said.

Crowder Thursday, was arrested a day after Fox News Digital revealed his name did not appear on the state’s registry. This time, jail records show, he was held on $20,000 bond – but only briefly, before Gascon’s office declined to pursue the failure to register charge.

Another TikToker using the handle @artofethereality, posted a video in which she turned around and confronted a man, identified as Crowder, she found crouched behind her at the Burbank Barnes & Noble that she said she recorded in March.

“This is real s— us girls go through and needs to be taken seriously,” she wrote in the caption.

As of Sunday, Crowder had not been charged in the bookstore incidents.

Glendale Police, who have repeatedly arrested Crowder over the years only to see the criminal justice system put him back on the streets, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

They are still asking anyone with information on Crowder’s potential misdeeds to contact them at 818-548-4911.

“Glendale Police Department arrested Crowder yesterday on a misdemeanor charge of failing to register pursuant to Penal Code section 290,” the statement continued. “After careful review of the evidence, the office was unable to file any charges due to insufficient evidence as to the notice requirement.”

Gascon also said his office has been made aware of a viral video of Calese Crowder at the Barnes & Noble in Burbank. This incident is being investigated by the Burbank Police Department.

“No case has been presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office related to that incident,” he said. “There are no other cases against Crowder pending review with the office.”

Mary Yoder Murders Four Year Old In Indiana

Mary Yoder

Mary Yoder is a twenty seven year old woman from Indiana who has just plead guilty to the murder of her four year old son Judah Morgan

According to court documents Mary Yoder failed to protect her son from the abuse of her husband Alan Morgan that would ultimately lead to the four year old’s death. Alan Morgan was sentenced last year to seventy years in prison for his role in the horrific case

Police say that Judah Morgan was beaten, bound with duct tape, starved and locked in a dark basement. Mary Yoder would call 911 saying that her husband Alan Morgan had hurt the child. When ambulance attendants showed up they would find the body of Judah Morgan wrapped in a blanket badly bruised and bloodied

Video from inside of the home showed Alan Morgan striking the four year old multiple times on multiple occasions.

Mary Yoder will be sentenced at a later date where she faces decades in prison

Mary Yoder More News

A 27-year-old mother in Indiana will likely spend several decades behind bars for her role in torturing and killing her 4-year-old son, who was starved, beaten, bound with duct tape, and kept in a dark basement before he died last year.

Mary Yoder pleaded guilty Friday to one count of neglect resulting in the death of a dependent and one count of domestic battery to a child, both felonies, in the brutal death of young Judah Morgan, court records reviewed by Law&Crime show.

Yoder admitted to abusing Judah and at least one of her other children, but she also failed to intervene or contact authorities when her husband, 30-year-old Alan Morgan, regularly subjected the child to torturous punishments. Morgan was sentenced to 70 years in prison in December 2022 after pleading to multiple felonies, including murder, in Judah’s death.

In exchange for Yoder pleading guilty, prosecutors dropped additional charges of neglect of a dependent, one of which involved cruel confinement. She had been scheduled to go to trial on Sept. 25.

As part of Mary Yoder’s plea agreement, she admitted that she was aware of the abuse Judah was being subjected to and that the abuse ultimately caused his death, according to a report from the Times of Northwest Indiana.

As Law&Crime previously reported, authorities responding to a 911 call at Yoder and Morgan’s rural home at about 3 a.m. on Oct. 11, 2021, discovered Judah’s bruised and bloodied naked body wrapped in a blanket inside a bedroom. Yoder placed the call and told the dispatcher that Morgan had gotten angry and hurt Judah

Prosecutors at Morgan’s trial last year presented evidence showing that Judah was routinely physically and emotionally abused by his parents. The father regularly beat and punished his son to the point of torture, locking him up in the family’s dark basement, naked, for days at a time over toilet training issues, and withholding food and water from the child. Morgan would also regularly duct tape Judah’s mouth

Surveillance footage from inside of the home showed Morgan on Oct. 7, 2021, punching Judah at least 13 times then picking him up by his neck, dropping him on the floor, and leaving him in the basement without furniture, The Associated Press reported. Video also reportedly showed Morgan punching Judah at least 15 times on Oct. 8.

Judah died from blunt force trauma to the head which caused “massive” bleeding on his brain, an autopsy determined.

“(The child’s injuries) rank up there with one of the worst cases of blunt force trauma to the entire body that (the doctor) had ever seen (in his 28-year career),” court records stated, according to a report from Indianapolis Fox affiliate WXIN.

Jacob Koch of the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office told South Bend CBS and Fox affiliate WSBT-TV after Morgan’s sentencing it was one of the most tragic cases he’s had

“I feel for the family and everything they’ve gone through this last year,” he said. “Glad justice was served today.”

Mary Yoder is scheduled to appear for her sentencing hearing before LaPorte County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Alevizos on Nov.1. She is facing a maximum sentence of 40 years for the neglect resulting in death charge and up to six years on the domestic battery charge
