Richard Bradley Jr. is an alleged serial killer from Washington State who has been charged with the murders of four people

According to police reports Richard Bradley Jr. was charged with the murder of Brandi Blake back in 2021 and has been sitting in jail waiting for trial however authorities have now charged him with the murders of Emilio Maturin, Michael Goeman, 59, and Goeman’s 31-year-old son Vance Lakey

Apparently Richard Bradley Jr would find people who had recently came into money and lure them to his property to dig for gold. When the victims would arrive they would be murdered and buried on the property

Richard Bradley Jr faces two counts of first degree murder, two counts of second degree murder and arson

Richard Bradley Jr News

An alleged serial killer in Washington state has been hit with new murder charges after authorities revealed that he may have used the same scheme to kill all four of his victims by telling them he needed their help finding buried treasure.

Richard Bradley Jr, 40, who has been awaiting trial of murder charges in the death of 44-year-old Brandi Blake since his arrest in 2021, has now been charged in the deaths of three more people, one identified from ribs buried on Bradley’s 160-acre Game Farm Park in Auburn and matched to his mother using DNA.

According to authorities, all four were killed after they came into money and fell for Bradley’s tale that he needed their help digging up buried gold in a wooded area of his farm. He then killed his victims, stole their possessions – including their cars – which he then drove around.

The scheme came to light in murder charges filed this month in the death of Emilio Maturin, who was 36 when he was last seen alive in July 2019, and Michael Goeman, 59, and Goeman’s 31-year-old son Vance Lakey, according to court documents obtained by The Seattle Times.

Bradley has also been charged with arson for allegedly offering a man $1,000 to set fire to Goeman and Vakey’s Dodge Durango after it had been impounded. Their bodies were found in the same area as Bradley’s farm.

According to prosecutors, Goeman had received a substantial inheritance just before he and his son were killed; Blake had won $20,000 at a casino and was known to carry large amounts of drugs and cash before her death; and Maturin always took his cash and drugs with him whenever he left home.

After Maturin was reported missing by his girlfriend in August, 2019, she told detectives that she’d overhead Bradley saying “he needed help digging up some buried gold.”

Despite some skepticism, Maturin went to visit Bradley in a white BMW with a pound of heroin and $15,000 in cash. He never returned. His girlfriend tracked his phone to Bradley’s farm. Police later spotted the parked BMW and waited for the driver. Bradley was later arrested after a car and foot chase.

Bradley is scheduled to stand trial next month in the death of Brandi Blake, and now faces a total of two counts of premeditated first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder and second-degree arson. He has not yet entered a plea for the new charges.

Amy Vilardi and Rosmore Vilardi Charged With 4 Murders

Amy Vilardi and Rosmore Vilardi south carolina

Amy Vilardi and Rosmore Vilardi are two alleged killers from South Carolina who have been charged with murders of four family members

According to police reports Amy’s mother, Cathy Scott, Cathy’s husband, Michael “Mike” Scott, Mike’s mother, Barbara Scott, and Cathy’s mother, Violet Taylor were found fatally shot inside of a home in Pendleton South Carolina on November 2 2015. Investigators at the scene said there was no forced entry into the home. Amy Vilardi would call 911 saying she discovered the four bodies

Amy Vilardi and Rosmore Vilardi were named persons of interest however there was not enough evidence until now, December 16 2023, to charged them with the four murders.

Amy Vilardi and Rosmore Vilardi remain in custody

Amy Vilardi and Rosmore Vilardi News

Update: Both suspects have been charged with four counts of murder. The judge did not set bond today. In the state of South Carolina, bonds on murder charges have to be set by a circuit court judge. That might not happen until the new year.

The Vilardi’s next hearing is February 20. The victims’ families asked the court for no bond. Amy Vilardi asked that she be set free to see her children.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office has made arrests in the 2015 homicides of four family members.

Amy Vilardi and her husband, Rosmore Vilardi, have been charged with the murders of Amy’s mother, Cathy Scott, Cathy’s husband, Michael “Mike” Scott, Mike’s mother, Barbara Scott, and Cathy’s mother, Violet Taylor.

Sheriff Chad McBride said his team arrested Amy and Ross Vilardi at their home in Columbia, South Carolina, and brought them back to Anderson County to face their murder charges.

“God bless this family. They have been through so much and they have waited so long,” McBride said.

The four were found shot to death in their home on Refuge Road in Pendleton on November 2, 2015.

Coroner Greg Shore said there was no sign of forced entry into the home or signs of a struggle and that the family was likely killed on Oct. 31, 2015.

At the time, Amy Vilardi told WYFF News 4 that she went to check on her family and found the bodies.

“When I went to knock on the back door, the door just pushed open so I walked in and it was dark and I just flipped on the light and there they were. They were just, there were there,” Amy Vilardi said in 2015.

The Vilardis lived in a separate house on the Refuge Road property.

In 2017, Anderson County Sheriff Chad McBride said they had identified suspects in the case, but he did not name them. He maintained that Amy and Ross Vilardi had remained persons of interest in the case.

Amy Vilardi and Rosmore Vilardi More News

After naming two people of interest in a 2015 quadruple homicide case, two relatives have been charged with murder in Anderson County.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Amy Vilardi and her husband, Rosmore Vilardi, in Columbia on Dec. 15 after declaring them persons of interest in the case this past March.

Each has been charged with four counts of murder and is in custody in Anderson County awaiting a bond hearing.

Sheriff Chad McBride said at a Dec. 15 press conference it was a senseless, gruesome murder and one of the worst scenes investigators had ever seen.

McBride didn’t indicate what their motive might have been or what evidence was obtained in recent months to press charges. The South Carolina Attorney General’s office will be partnering with the sheriff’s office to prosecute the case, he said.

Michael and Cathy Scott and their two mothers, Violet Taylor and Barbara Scott, were found on Nov. 2, 2015, after Vilardi called 911 to report their deaths. Vilardi is Cathy Scott’s daughter and the granddaughter of Taylor.

“I’m proud of their efforts, they just don’t give up,” McBride said of the investigative team. “I applaud the family because they don’t give up, either.”

It was a team effort, including the administration before he took office in 2017, he said, and this is a great first step toward seeing justice served.

“I think we knew that this day would come,” he said. “We were praying this day would come and, so far, we’ve had some really big prayers answered.”

Michael Jackson-Bolanos News

A suspect has been charged in the killing of Detroit synagogue leader Samantha Woll, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced Wednesday.

Michael Jackson-Bolanos, 28, of Detroit, was charged with felony murder during a first-degree home invasion and is believed to have acted alone in the Oct. 21 slaying.

Worthy said the suspect did not know Woll. He allegedly entered her Lafayette Park home and stabbed her to death multiple times using a “straight edge cutting instrument,” Worthy said. That same day, he also allegedly lied to detectives about stealing and attempting to steal from cars from the area of Woll’s home.

Michael Jackson-Bolanos has retained an attorney, who maintained his client’s innocence following a Wednesday arraignment hearing — noting that police had previously fingered a different suspect in the killing.

“It’s pretty significant that they originally arrested an individual prior to arresting my client, I’m going to be looking at the circumstances around that,” said attorney Brian Brown. “Truthfully, I think it was a lot of publicity this case was receiving, a lot of pressure on the Detroit Police Department to hopefully come up with somebody and my client maintains his innocence — and I think he was just a victim of circumstance and not an individual who perpetrated this crime.”

Woll’s family expressed gratitude after charges were announced Wednesday.

“Our family is sincerely grateful to the hard-working women and men of the DPD Homicide Task Force who worked around the clock for weeks to thoroughly investigate this tragic crime,” the family said through its lawyer, Brian Legghio.

“Through their dedication and tireless efforts we firmly believe that they have successfully solved this senseless crime. We cannot thank them enough.”

Woll’s family also thanked “everyone” for their support and prayers before asking for privacy: “Samantha’s death is an unspeakable tragedy that has affected not only her family and friends, but also those who knew her as a devoted, community activist, leader and bridge builder. She was loved deeply and her light spread far and wide.”

Woll was discovered dead outside of a neighbor’s apartment in the 1360 block of Joliet Place, surrounded by a pool of blood. A trail of blood led detectives to Woll’s home.

Despite previous statements from Detroit police that there were no signs of forced entry, Worthy said Wednesday that the front door to Woll’s home “was ajar and unlocked, and a significant amount of blood was inside.”

Michael Jackson-Bolanos was also charged with home invasion and for lying to police officers.

He previously spent two years on probation after being convicted of receiving and concealing a stolen motor vehicle in 2019, and four years in prison for a similar offense in 2013, according to the Michigan of Department of Corrections.

Brown, the attorney, said Jackson-Bolanos was employed full-time prior to his arrest.

Worthy described Woll’s death as “extraordinarily sad and tragic,” one that has left Detroiters and local faith communities bewildered in the weeks since.

Detroit Police Chief James White said Jackson-Bolanos had appeared on Detroit police’s radar within the last three weeks.

Michael Jackson-Bolanos was identified for suspected criminal activity in the area; police were curious about his actions, White said. Police linked him to a few larcenies and brought him in for questioning, White said.

“What had transpired during questioning was concerning,” White said.

Without more evidence, Michael Jackson-Bolanos was released but then monitored.

“We knew where he was, we knew his whereabouts, we knew his movements, at no time was anyone in our community at risk,” White said. “We knew where he worked, we knew his phone traffic.”

Detroit police had confirmed Tuesday that charges were requested against the suspect, who was apprehended as a “person of interest” on Sunday.

Earlier Tuesday, Detroit police were on and around East Lafayette Street — near where Woll lived — searching for evidence, Detroit police confirmed, though they would not say whether the search was tied to the Woll case.

“We’re not going to rush this, we’re not going to make mistakes. We were methodical and tenacious in our investigation,” White said Wednesday.

An initial suspect — different from the one taken into custody Sunday — was previously apprehended last month, but charges against him never materialized and he was released. Authorities no longer consider him a suspect.

“This takes time, and for our part we never want to rush to judgment,” Worthy said.

“We have to investigate every avenue even though we may think that we have the right person in custody — we know that we do today — we have to investigate any and all suspects or persons of interest that may come forward,” Worthy continued. “We don’t want to leave any stone unturned. And that means we may have to look at other people, even if it’s believed at the time that they’re not the right one for this case.”

Woll had attended a wedding the night before her death. The killing made national headlines and sent shock waves throughout Jewish and interfaith communities in metro Detroit. She was the president of the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue and founded the Muslim-Jewish Forum of Detroit.

She was also well known among Michigan Democratic leadership, having worked for U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Holly, and on the reelection campaign of Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.

Those who knew Woll described her as a leader whose kindness and dedication to justice were among some of her best qualities.

Some had speculated that Woll’s death was motivated by antisemitism amid ongoing fears within Arab, Muslim, and Jewish communities in the United States as war rages abroad between Israel and Hamas. White has maintained he is confident, based on the evidence so far, that the killing was not motivated by a hate crime.

Worthy reiterated Wednesday that the killing was not motivated by antisemitism.

“There’s not a shred of evidence that points to the fact that this was a hate crime,” Worthy said.

Kenneth Law Case

A Canadian man accused of supplying a poisonous chemical to people who died by suicide is facing multiple murder charges.

Police in Canada have charged Kenneth Law, a 57-year-old former chef, with 14 counts of second-degree murder.

Kenneth Law was previously charged with aiding suicide in relation to deaths of people who had allegedly purchased the lethal chemical from him online.

British detectives have also linked Mr Law to 90 deaths in the UK.

In an emailed statement to the BBC, Mr Law’s lawyer, Matthew Gourlay, said his client intended to plead not guilty to the charges.

The murder charges announced by police on Tuesday mark an escalation in the prosecution of Mr Law in Canada, who has been the subject of a “very active and very complex” investigation involving 11 police agencies in the country’s largest province, Ontario.

Speaking on behalf of the multijurisdictional investigation, Simon James, an inspector with York Regional Police, said the new murder charges were related to a total of 14 victims in Ontario.

Mr James said that “evidence has come in that supports the charge of second-degree murder”, but declined to add further details as the investigation was ongoing.

Along with the murder charges, Kenneth Law faces 14 counts of aiding and counselling suicide in connection to the same Ontario deaths, for a total of 28 charges. He faces imprisonment for life if he is found guilty of second-degree murder under Canadian law.

Kenneth Law who remains in police custody, is also the subject of probes by police agencies in other parts of Canada and countries, including the UK.

Mr James said police in Ontario are cooperating with those international investigations.

Canadian detectives said Mr Law had run a number of websites offering equipment and substances to help people end their lives. Police believe he may have sent more than 1,200 parcels containing lethal substances to around 40 countries.

He was first arrested and charged in May with counselling or aiding suicide. In August, police brought additional counts against him, all linked to deaths that occurred in Ontario.

The ages of the people who died ranged from 16 to 36. Mr James said more than one victim was under the age of 18.

Many of Kenneth Law’s alleged victims were also based in the UK. There, the National Crime Agency (NCA) in London said Mr Law was known to have sent packages to 272 people.

The NCA, which is now investigating if any criminal offences were committed in the UK, said 90 of those recipients later died, though they could not confirm that a toxic substance was the direct cause of each death.

One individual died after police had carried out welfare checks on all the addresses which received a parcel, the agency added.

A spokesman for the NCA said: “This investigation will explore viable leads that help us identify evidence of crimes committed in the UK or against its citizens.”

The news of the charges were welcomed by David Parfett, whose 22-year-old son Tom bought the chemical from Mr Law and ended his life in October 2021.

“It sends a signal to other people who encourage vulnerable people to self harm and provide suicide kits that they’re not beyond the law,” Mr Parfett told the BBC.

And he said there are wider lessons for the authorities on what more needs to be done to protect people online.

“Actions like encouraging others to kill themselves that would be prosecuted in real life are tolerated online. That has to stop,” he said.

While this is a significant moment for many of the victims’ families, some said they still have outstanding concerns.

They worry there are other sellers out there who have taken Mr Law’s place and are still selling the poisonous chemical he allegedly supplied. Many also feel the UK government has not done enough to stop this type of crime.

Mr James of York Regional Police said one major challenge is that some of the websites used by Mr Law are based in countries outside of Canada, where Canadian law does not apply.

Families of victims said they also want action taken against those who set up and run a pro-suicide forum which encourages and instruct the vulnerable how to die. The BBC reported on the forum in October and even confronted one of its founders, who claimed he is no longer involved.

Many of the dead found out about Kenneth Law and other sellers through the forum, which the BBC is not going to name.

They followed detailed instructions posted there on how to end their lives.

Taylor Justin Schulz Charged In Robert Skafte Murder

Taylor Justin Schulz

Taylor Justin Schulz is an alleged killer from Minnesota who has been charged with the murder of Robert Skafte

According to court documents Taylor Justin Schulz entered the Oak Grove grocery store and put a number of items in a basket then headed to the check out area. Once there Schulz would attack the cashier Robert Skafte with a broken golf club before impaling Skafte causing injuries that would lead to his death

Taylor Justin Schulz was arrested following a long standoff with police and has been charged with murder

Taylor Justin Schulz News

A cashier died after a suspect impaled him with a golf club Friday afternoon at a small grocery store in Minneapolis’ Loring Park neighborhood, police said.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said the assailant, a 44-year-old man, approached the counter of Oak Grove Grocery on the 200 block of Oak Grove Street just before 1 p.m., appearing to have items for purchase. The suspect then went behind the counter and started beating the worker behind the register with the golf club, eventually thrusting the weapon into the victim’s torso.

The victim, a 66-year-old man, was taken to the hospital but later died. A longtime friend identified him as Robert Skafte.

A spokesperson for the Minneapolis Police Department confirmed on Saturday morning that Taylor Justin Schulz, 44, was taken into custody on probable cause murder.

Taylor Justin Schulz barricaded himself in an apartment building across the street and remained there for about six hours while SWAT teams and crisis negotiators worked to make an arrest. He was eventually brought into custody without further incident, O’Hara said.

“We know this neighborhood is hurting tonight because of this absolutely horrific crime and just how senseless it was — an elder who is so well known and has worked in this grocery store for decades,” O’Hara said.

Minneapolis Police on Saturday said they are not looking for additional suspects at this time. Anyone who has additional information is urged to call 911. Anonymous tips can be submitted through CrimeStoppers.

Taylor Justin Schulz More News

Tributes have been paid to a well-loved and popular store worker who was horrifically killed when a customer allegedly stuck a golf club through the man’s chest.

Suspect Taylor Justin Schulz, 44, is in custody, following a six-hour standoff with cops at a nearby apartment unit where he barricaded himself inside. His alleged victim, Robert Skafte, was pronounced dead shortly after the unprovoked attack, which happened on Friday at Oak Grove Grocery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Taylor Justin Schulz, 44, allegedly brought several items to the counter just before 1pm then launched the unprovoked attack. Schulz impaled the 66-year-old dancer “through the torso” with the club before fleeing the building, the Minneapolis Police Department said.

According to the New York Post, neighbor Tony Gutoski walked into the store shortly after the horror incident and was able to alert authorities while Taylor Justin Schulz was still on the scene. At that point, he recalled, Skafte was still alive, and told him his attacker had come in earlier in the day before the fatal encounter.

Gutoski said: “He was speaking, he answered questions. He told me the dude that came in earlier that was acting crazy and yelling about st came back and attacked him.” He added that Schulz was “a f***g crazy person” who had called 911 just before the attack to demand to talk to the FBI.

Gutoski said that, like many other people in the area, he was also a friend of the victim and thought he was “a really good dude [who] never hurt no one”. Gutoski, one of the last people to see him alive, remembered him as “a fixture in the neighborhood”.

And that was a sentiment echoed by several others who have been left in shock by the man’s murder. Mourners have flocked to the shop since to leave tributes and wreaths at a growing memorial for Skafte, who was an accomplished dancer in the area’s tight-knit theater community.

Police chief Brian O’Hara issued a statement where he said officers tracked the suspect to the building after speaking to Gutoski and described the stand-off negotiators, the SWAT team, the drone unit and the bomb squad had to endure before they managed to get Schulz to surrender, after which SWAT officers took him into custody where he was then booked in the Hennepin County Jail on probable cause murder.

According to the Daily Mail, O’Hara said that he thought the murder was committed “in a very grotesque way”, and left behind a “senseless and horrific scene” that many will be forced to remember for years to come. He said: “We know this neighborhood is hurting tonight because of this absolutely senseless crime. Investigators are working to determine what transpired leading up to the murder.”

The chief then went on to say Skafte was “an elder who had lived in this neighborhood for decades”. And Myron Johnson, a friend of Skafte and fellow pro dancer, told MPRNews: “It’s tragic. It’s hard to even imagine that it’s real.”

While Stephanie Grey, who danced with Skafte at Minneapolis-based dance company Ballet of the Dolls, added: “He had the innocence of a child with the wisdom of an old soul. I can’t even begin to wrap my brain around the loss.”

The pair and several others revealed how Skafte took up work at Oak Grove Grocery several years after his dance career ended, and lived in a building right across the street. According to them the victim was best known for roles in Hello Dalí, a dance and musical production about the life of painter Salvador Dalí, as well as Carmen and a disco version of Giselle.

Officers said that first responders had tried to save Skafte’s life, but he died at Hennepin County Medical Center. There is a memorial with candles, flowers and photos set up outside the grocery store. The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office has yet to issue charges in the case.
