According to police reports Sarah Grace Patrick five year old sister would find the bodies and Sarah would call 911. The double murder took place in February 2025 and police were apparently clueless about the double murder. However that would change when Sarah Grace Patrick would turn herself in on Tuesday, July 8 2025, and was charged with the murders

A Georgia 17-year-old is charged with killing her mother and stepfather after turning herself in to police.
Investigators say Sarah Grace Patrick is responsible for the shooting deaths of Kristin and James Brock in their Carrollton home back in February. At the time, Patrick was 16. She is the one who called 911 after the couple’s 5-year-old daughter discovered their bodies
Officials held a news conference Tuesday but have not disclosed a possible motive.
“Who knows what’s going on in a young person’s mind like that? But she has been arrested and charged now, and we feel confident that she is responsible for their murders,” said Carroll County Communications Director Ashley Hulsey. “But like I said, it is an open, ongoing investigation. It’s very possible others are involved as well.”

The victims have been identified as Kristin Brock, 41, and James Brock, 45. They were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds in their bedroom at their home on Tyus Road on February 20, 2025.
Their bodies were discovered by the couple’s 6-year-old daughter, who then informed her older sister. Patrick was the one who called 911 to report the deaths.
Patrick has been charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the charges stem from what they describe as “mountains of physical and digital evidence” collected over the course the investigation.
Carroll County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Ashley Hulsey confirmed confirmed that Patrick is being charged as an adult and that investigators are still working to determine a motive.
Patrick’s father accompanied her when she surrendered to authorities.
According to reports from Fox 5 Atlanta, she is being held on bail.
