Marianne Bachmeier Murders Child Molester In Court

Marianne Bachmeier

In this article we are going to take a closer look at Marianne Bachmeier and what drove her to kill. Since starting My Crime Library some time ago I have read and covered stories of victims getting revenge on their attackers but none of them come close to the story of Marianne Bachmeier and how she would make sure the man who sexually assaulted and murdered her daughter would never do that to another child again.

Marianne Bachmeier Early Life

Marianne Bachmeier was born in Germany on June 3 1950. Marianne Bachmeier parents who were from Prussia would divorce during her childhood. Bachmeier would become pregnant for the first time at the age of sixteen and after giving birth she would give the child up for adoption. When she was eighteen years old she would become pregnant again and this child was also given up for adoption. Marianne Bachmeier would have a third child who she would keep that she named Anna who she would raise alone

Marianne Bachmeier Daughter Meets A Monster

When Anna was seven years old she would be abducted by Klaus Grabowski, a convicted sex offender, who Anna knew as she use to go to his residence to play with his cats. Klaus Grabowski who was previously convicted of sexual assault and underwent chemical castration in order to get out of prison early. However once outside of prison Klaus Grabowski would take hormones to reverse the chemical castration.

On the day that Anna was abducted by Klaus Grabowski she would be sexually assaulted and murdered. When he was arrested Klaus Grabowski told police that Anna told him that she was going to tell her mother that inappropriately touched her and he feared going back to prison so he murdered the seven year old girl.

Marianne Bachmeier A Parents Revenge In Court

On the third day of the trial of Klaus Grabowski Bachmeier would smuggle a gun into the courtroom. As she say beside her daughter’s monster Marianne would take out a gun and shoot Grabowski eight times. Klaus Grabowski would die almost instantly and initially Marianne would be charged with murder however it was later reduced to manslaughter.

Needless to say Marianne had a ton of public support in Germany however she would ultimately be convicted of manslaughter and unlawful possession of a firearm. She would receive a six year prison sentence however would only serve three years.

Later on when interviewed by a reporter Marianne would say that she carefully thought of her actions days before the courtroom murder and in the end it came down to making sure that no other child would be harmed by Klaus.

Marianne Bachmeier Later Life

After getting out of prison Marianne would marry and with her new husband would move to Nigeria where he was a teacher. The couple would divorce and Marianne moved to Italy. Unfortunately for Marianne she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer shortly after and moved back to Germany. Marianne would pass away a year later at the age of 46.

Roland Codrington Charged With 2 Murders During Crime Spree In NYC

Roland Codrington

Roland Codrington is a man from New York City who has been charged with two random murders that took place during a crime spree. According to NYC police reports Roland Codrington would slash the throat of 51 year old James Cunningham after he left a bar leaving the man to die on the street. Days later Roland Codrington would enter a bar and attack the bartender with a bat and slashed 2 men who would survive their injuries. Roland Codrington would later stab to death Dr. Bruce Maurice Henry after a brief argument. NYPD would arrest Roland Codrington and charged him with the 2 murders plus other charges

Roland Codrington More News

Two seemingly isolated and random outdoor murders at the height of the holiday season and of the kind New Yorkers have increasingly feared since the pandemic began were blamed by police officials Monday on a city resident with a criminal record.

James Essig, chief of detectives for the New York Police Department, underscored at a news conference how brief and unplanned were the encounters Roland Codrington is accused of having with two men slashed to death in nighttime killings three days apart, resulting in two murder charges.

It was not immediately clear who would represent Codrington at initial court appearances.

The killings come at a time of increased anxiety citywide over random violence. Mayor Eric Adams recently announced plans for authorities to more aggressively intervene to help people who need mental health treatment, including forcing individuals off streets and subways and into treatment.

Early this year after taking office, Adams said even he didn’t feel safe riding the subway, despite boosted police patrols.

In April, a man was charged with injuring 10 people in Brooklyn when he set off a pair of smoke grenades and then scattered a barrage of random shots inside a train between stations. In May, a 48-year-old man was shot and killed riding a train between Brooklyn and lower Manhattan.

Despite random acts, the number of crimes reported on public transit by September was averaging slightly below pre-pandemic levels, though ridership was also down.

In the arrest announced Monday, Essig said the first killing Codrington was charged with occurred at 1 a.m. on Dec. 19, when 51-year-old James Cunningham, who had just left a bar after drinking a seltzer, was walking several blocks from Union Square when he was approached by Codrington, who was accompanied by his girlfriend.

After a 20-second-long, caught-on-camera dispute, Codrington, 35, slashed Cunningham across the neck with a knife, leaving him to die, Essig said.

At 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 22, Codrington entered a Lower East Side bar with a pit bull and a baseball bat, Essig said. Crodrington thought he had been disrespected by employees at the bar a week earlier. He assaulted the bartender and destroyed property, Essig said.

When two customers intervened, they were stabbed with a large knife, incurring non-life threatening wounds, Essig added.

Afterward, Essig said, Codrington went home, then said he’d “cool off” with a walk through the park.

There, he encountered Dr. Bruce Maurice Henry, 60, stabbing him repeatedly after a verbal exchange in which he became enraged, Essig said. The police official said Codrington left the area with his girlfriend in Henry’s Mercedes Benz. Henry’s body was found at 2:15 a.m. on Dec. 23.

Essig credited three “sharp-eyed police officers” from upper Manhattan with spotting the car at 9:40 p.m. on Dec. 24 and apprehending Codrington without resistance. Codrington, he said, has 12 prior arrests, including four assaults with weapons. Essig said police were investigating whether he’s responsible for other random acts.

Asked about the girlfriend, Essig said she’s involved in the investigation but “hasn’t been charged as of yet.”

He said he couldn’t explain what the doctor was doing in the park or what the argument was about, but added: “You know, for whatever reason he was in the park at that time, he didn’t deserve what he got.”

Michael James Pratt a fugitive on the FBI 10 Most Wanted List has been arrested in Spain after three years on the run. According to police reports Michael James Pratt was to stand trial for Federal sex trafficking charges when he fled. Michael James Pratt ran an adult website that coerced young women to film themselves and send him the videos. Michael James Pratt More News

The founder of a California-based porn empire that coerced young women into filming adult videos has been arrested in Spain, three years after he fled while facing federal sex-trafficking charges, the FBI announced.

Michael James Pratt was on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list. Spanish National Police arrested him Wednesday in Madrid, the FBI’s San Diego field office said in a statement Thursday.

Pratt, a New Zealand native, will be held in Spain pending extradition to San Diego to face charges of sex trafficking and sex trafficking of a minor, production of child pornography and money laundering conspiracy.

Pratt, 40, founded the now-defunct GirlsDoPorn website in San Diego. In 2019, he and others were charged in San Diego with sex crimes after being targeted in a civil lawsuit by 22 women who claimed they were victimized by fraud and breach of contract.

The women said they were plied with alcohol and marijuana before being rushed through signing a contract, which they were not allowed to read. Some said they were sexually assaulted and held in hotel rooms unwillingly until adult filming had ended.

A judge found in favor of the women and handed down a $12.7 million judgment against Pratt, Matthew Isaac Wolfe and adult producer and performer Ruben Andre Garcia.

Wolfe, who handled day-to-day operations, finances, marketing and filming for the website, pleaded guilty this year to a single federal count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking. He awaits sentencing.

The other co-defendants also pleaded guilty. Garcia was sentenced to 20 years in prison and cameraman Theodore Gyi received a four-year sentence.

Valorie Moser, a former bookkeeper for GirlsDoPorn, also pleaded guilty last year.
