Chozen Terrell-Hannah Arrested For Armed Robberies

Chozen Terrell-Hannah

Chozen Terrell-Hannah who is known on Tik Tok for his dance moves has been arrested for a string of armed robberies in Michigan. According to police reports Chozen Terrell-Hannah is responsible for at least four armed robberies from December 2021 to February 2022. Turns out the downfall of Chozen Terrell-Hannah was that the sneakers he is seen wearing in his Tik Tok videos were the same as the suspect responsible for the armed robberies. Chozen Terrell-Hannah has a following on Tik Tok of 149,000 followers and 1.6 million likes.

Federal agents investigating a series of armed robberies across Metro Detroit have arrested a popular TikTok personality after he was spotted dancing in what investigators described as his stick-up shoes.

Redford Township resident Chozen Terrell-Hannah, 22, admitted robbing four stores after investigators raided his home Wednesday despite eyewitnesses describing the armed thief as a white man, according to the FBI. Terrell-Hannah is African-American.

A criminal complaint describes a three-month crime spree targeting retail shops, fancy footwear and a federal investigation aided by dozens of brief videos posted to Terrell-Hannah’s TikTok account “ChozenWrld,” which has more than 148,000 followers and 1.6 million likes.

Chozen Terrell-Hannah is being held without bond while awaiting a detention hearing Monday in federal court in Detroit. He is charged with robbery affecting interstate commerce and possessing a firearm during a violent crime, charges that could result in a prison sentence of more than 20 years.

His court-appointed lawyer, James Gerometta, declined comment Friday.

The investigation started Dec. 1 after a man wearing black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, a black ski mask and white shoes, and carrying a black backpack decorated with pink flowers, robbed the 7-Eleven in the 700 block of Benstein in Commerce Township.

He pointed a black handgun at the clerk, collected money and fled.

More than one month later, on Jan. 13, a man wearing a similar outfit, carrying a similar backpack, robbed the Marathon gas station in the 23000 block of Ford Road in Dearborn.

The robber demanded cash while pressing a black handgun into the clerk’s back before fleeing with money. He grabbed an 18-pack of cigars while leaving the store where investigators would soon find a clue: a .40-caliber bullet near the counter.

On Jan. 26, a similarly dressed man, carrying a black backpack decorated with pink flowers, robbed the same 7-Eleven on Benstein in Commerce Township. He demanded money.

“The clerk initially refused but complied after the subject pulled back the slide of the gun in a motion of chambering a round and ejected a round onto the counter,” an FBI task force officer wrote in the complaint. “This round, which was recovered later, was .40 caliber.”

Then, the robber fled.

The fourth robbery happened at an Old West Tobacco store in the 45000 block of West Pontiac Trail in Novi on Feb. 1. This time, the robber was described as a man wearing the same clothing as the earlier robberies, but investigators noticed pink or red hair emerging from the black ski mask.

“After the money was placed into the bag, the subject took several boxes of cigars and then fled the store,” the FBI task force officer wrote.

A tipster led Dearborn police investigators to a possible suspect with the account “Chozenn_One” on the Snapchat phone app. Investigators learned the account had been changed to “ChozenWrld” and they later found a TikTok profile with the same name.

The account and videos helped Dearborn investigators identify Chozen Terrell-Hannah, according to the criminal complaint.

His physical characteristics are consistent with eyewitness accounts, the FBI task force officer wrote, though some victims estimated that the robber was taller, and a white man.

“Based on my training and experience, I believe due to (Chozen Terrell-Hannah’s) light complexion, the victims of armed robberies, observing him under the circumstances and wearing the clothing described above, could describe him as either white or black,” the FBI task force officer wrote.

Investigators focused on TikTok videos that showed Chozen Terrell-Hannah dancing and lip-syncing with a head of hair partially dyed pinkish purple.

They noted a Sept. 24, 2020, post that featured Chozen Terrell-Hannah dancing in white Nike tennis shoes with red accents.

These shoes are similar in appearance to the shoes worn in the above referenced armed robberies,” the FBI task force officer wrote.

Investigators started surveilling Chozen Terrell-Hannah on Feb. 9 outside his home in Redford Township and in the ensuing days, including a Feb. 11 visit to an area Pet Supplies Plus. And they checked police databases and found a phone number for Terrell-Hannah, which led to investigators obtaining a search warrant for the phone’s historical location data.

The data showed that the location of the cellphone “was consistent with being in the geographic area of/around the locations of the above-described armed robberies around the reported times for each incident,” the FBI task force officer wrote.

Investigators raided his home Wednesday.

“A search of the residence led to the seizure of items believed to be used in the armed robberies including a black Glock handgun, a black backpack with a floral pattern, a skeleton full body suit, and white Nike tennis shoes,” the FBI task force officer wrote.

Chozen Terrell-Hannah later talked with investigators.

“(He) admitted to committing all four of the above-described armed robberies and acknowledged using the black backpack with a floral pattern in all four of the armed robberies,” the officer wrote. “(Terrell-Hannah) explained that skeleton gloves observed during the armed robberies were actually part of a full body skeleton suit.”

A 16-year-old Detroit male has been charged as an adult for the murders of a 5-year-old boy and two others.

Malcolm Ray Hardy will be arraigned on the charges on March 1. They include three felony murder charges, first degree premeditated murder, two counts of armed robbery, and eight counts of felony firearm for the gruesome killings of Aaron Benson, LaShon Marshall, and her son Caleb Harris

A second teen male was also arrested following Detroit police’s investigation. However, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office denied a warrant request for him due to insufficient evidence to charge him.

The bodies of Benson, Marshall, and Harris were discovered last Sunday during a welfare check issued by police after a relative of the adult male victim had not heard from him for several days. All three victims had been shot multiple times and died from gunshot wounds the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office determined.

A motive to the murders was not given.

“This case is a jarring reminder of why there should always be options for prosecutors when the facts allege unspeakable premeditated violence by a juvenile. The allegations in this case warrant charging the defendant as an adult,” said Prosecutor Kym Worthy. “This case is truly disturbing, especially as it relates to young Caleb. For many reasons it is disheartening to know that a juvenile is alleged to have committed these acts.”

Police were originally called to the 15300 block of Evergreen in Detroit on Feb. 20. They made arrests the following day, police confirmed during a press conference on Monday.

Chief James White and several other members of Detroit law enforcement at the county and the prosecutor’s office were in attendance to bring more attention to the gun violence that was ensnaring children.

“This case, like so many others, has tugged at the heart and spirit of this department,” White said.

A 16-year-old male has been charged and remanded to jail in the premeditated murders of a couple and the woman’s 5-year-old son at a Detroit home.

Malcolm Ray Hardy, of Detroit, is charged as a adult in this case, which has been called “truly disturbing,” by Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.

The bodies of Aaron Benson, 32, LaShon Marshall, 28, and 5-year-old Caleb Harris were found at Benson’s home on Friday, Feb. 18. The crime scene was not fresh, authorities said.

“This case is truly disturbing, especially as it relates to young Caleb,” Worthy said in a statement. “For many reasons, it is disheartening to know that a juvenile is alleged to have committed these acts.”

Around 9:27 p.m. on Feb. 18, Benson’s male cousin went to his home in the 15310 block of Evergreen Street because he had not heard from Benson for several days. He discovered the bodies of Benson, Marshall and Caleb, and called 911. All three victims had been shot multiple times.

The bodies were taken to the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office where it was determined that the cause of all three deaths was multiple gunshot wounds.

It is alleged that Hardy fatally shot all three victims.

Investigation by the Detroit Police Department led to the arrest of the defendant and another teen male suspect on Feb. 21. On Feb. 23, the DPD presented a warrant request to the prosecutor’s office. There was insufficient evidence to charge the other teen male, officials said.

Aspects of the case remain under investigation. A motive for the alleged crimes has not been released.

On Saturday, Feb. 26, Hardy was arraigned on three counts of felony murder, three counts of first-degree premeditated murder, two counts of armed robbery, and eight counts of felony firearm in the 36th District Court. He was denied bond and remanded to jail. His probable cause conference is scheduled for March 7 before Judge Kenneth King.

Alex John Radulovic Charged With Infant’s Murder

Alex John Radulovic

Alex John Radulovic is a man from Michigan who has been charged in the murder of his girlfriend’s one year old son. According to court documents Alex John Radulovic became enraged at the one year child and would grab him by the chest and slammed him multiple times on the floor. Alex John Radulovic would then place the one year old in his crib and he went out for a walk. When Alex John Radulovic returned to the home with a friend the one year old was groaning and an ambulance was called. The one year old boy Alexander “Xan” Butler would die soon after arriving at the hospital. Alex John Radulovic would admit to authorities that he had injured the child.

Alex John Radulovic More News

The Kent County Prosecutor’s Office has charged a 23-year-old man in the Saturday morning death of a 1-year-old Grand Rapids boy.

Alex John Radulovic, 23, has been charged with one count of felony murder and one count of first-degree child abuse in Alexander Butler’s death. The prosecutor’s office said both are punishable by life in prison.

“Child abuse in the first degree is knowingly and intentionally causing serious physical harm to a child and that’s got to be not just anybody but a caregiver. Usually it’s a parent or guardian,” said Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker. “It’s not accidental, it’s not reckless. You have to knowingly and intentionally do some action that causes that serious physical harm. Those are fairly rare, fortunately. It’s not something that we see on a regular basis but we do see it a few times a year.”

Becker says typically these kinds of charges come about from someone close to the child.

“We’ve unfortunately had quite a few child abuse charges/homicides over the last few years and the public is always extremely worried about them. They think that it’s strangers (doing it) or something along those lines and unfortunately it’s typically somebody really close to the child,” said Becker.

The prosecutor’s office says Radulovic is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday and is being held at the Kent County Correctional Facility.

On Saturday around 9 a.m., emergency crews were sent to Weston Street SW between Ionia Avenue SW and Division Avenue S on reports of an infant not breathing.

The Grand Rapids Police Department said the child was taken to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His death was later determined to be suspicious.

After an autopsy revealed that Alexander died of head trauma and his death was ruled a homicide. GRPD says Radulovic was responsible for the infant at the time of the incident. Authorities believe Radulovic was the boyfriend of the infant’s mother.

Alex John Radulovic Other News

The Grand Rapids Police Department has announced charges against a man in connection to the death of a 1-year-old boy he was caring for.

Alex John Radulovic, 23, was responsible for the child’s care at the time of the incident. He’s since been charged with one count of felony murder and one count of child abuse of the first degree, the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office says. If convicted, both are punishable by life in prison.

According to court documents obtained by 13 ON YOUR SIDE, police and medical personnel were called to the apartments at 50 West St. SW to a report of a 1-year-old child not breathing on Saturday, Feb. 5.

Court documents say Radulovic carried the child out to the ambulance and told police he lived with the child’s mother but wasn’t related to the child.

Radulovic told detectives the child’s mother was at work at the time.

The child died at the hospital and appeared to have bruising/marks on his face, chest and back.

Police say GRPD detectives, Forensic Services Technicians and personnel from Child Protective Services were called in to investigate.

The Kent County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the child died from head trauma, and his death was ruled a homicide.

The victim has been identified as 1-year-old Alexander Butler.

During a police interview, detectives said Radulovic made multiple conflicting statements about what happened that morning, but eventually said “I got upset and accidentally did the wrong thing.”

He told investigators he was irritated at the child’s fussiness and slammed the boy onto the ground two or three times before the baby became unresponsive.

Radulovic was arraigned in court on Tuesday where he was denied bond.

Radulovic’s attorney says that he struggles with mental health issues and is requesting counseling and treatment for the mental health disorders.

He’s due in court later this month.

Justine Johnson Murders Daughter Because SpongeBob Told Her Too

Justine Johnson photoos

Justine Johnson is a mother from Michigan who would stab her three year old daughter to death because SpongeBob told her too. According to police reports Justine Johnson was coming off a long heroin withdrawal when she hallucinated that the popular character SpongeBob was telling her to murder her three year old daughter Sutton Mosser or else the character would murder her. So Justine Johnson would stab the three year old girl multiple times causing her death. Justine Johnson would tell investigators she attempting to kill herself but was unable to go through with it. Justine Johnson has been charged with murder and remains in a Michigan county jail

Justine Johnson More News

Days after a 3-year-old girl’s body was found in a trash bag in northern Michigan, the child’s mother told an investigator she had hallucinated SpongeBob on her TV, commanding her to kill her daughter or face death herself.

Ryan Eberline, an investigator with Child Protective Services, testified to this during the Friday, Feb. 4, preliminary examination of Justine M. Johnson held before Iosco County District Judge Christopher P. Martin. Johnson, 22, is charged with felony murder and first-degree child abuse related to the Sept. 16 death of her daughter, Sutton M. Mosser.

Mosser had turned 3 just two days before her death.

Called to testify by Iosco County Prosecutor James A. Bacarella, Eberline said she interviewed Johnson in jail on Oct. 1.

“What did she tell you?” Bacarella asked.

“The conversation was very pieced out,” Eberline said. “We would review things and go back to those things. Overall, the conversation, from what I could conclude, was that near the date of the 16th she had left her mother’s house walking and passed out in the graveyard.”

Johnson then walked to her own apartment, where she attempted to kill herself, Eberline said she told her. Bacarella asked Eberline if Johnson had discussed what happened to her daughter.

“She told me that she didn’t remember the specifics of what happened at the time of what happened to Sutton, that she was experiencing hallucinations due to heroin withdrawal and not sleeping for approximately two weeks,” Eberline said. “She was getting hallucinations from the TV that had instructed her to take her daughter’s life or they would kill her.

“It was SpongeBob who was saying these things on the TV,” Eberline continued. “If she didn’t do what she did to her daughter they would kill her. She said she was afraid for her life and she had lost her mind.”

The hearing began with a sobbing and shackled Johnson being led into the courtroom. Johnson continued to cry intermittently throughout the hearing, frequently dabbing her face with Kleenex.

As the first witness of the day, Bacarella called Johnson’s brother Knesley Johnson Jr. to the stand. Knesley Johnson said that in the fall of 2021, he, his sister, parents, brother, and niece were living at a home in the 5400 block of Cedar Lake Road in Oscoda Township.

About 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 16, Knesley Johnson left for work, having a brief conversation with his sister beforehand. He said there was nothing unusual about her or his niece. When he left, Sutton was in her mother’s care, he said.

Knesley Johnson came home about 3:30 or 4 a.m. on Sept. 17. As he was taking off his shoes to get ready for bed, he asked his younger brother where their sister and Sutton were. The brother went to the back of their house and said he saw a human child’s foot sticking out of a bag, Knesley Johnson testified.

He said he did not know where his sister was at the time.

When Knesley Johnson was finished testifying, he walked by his seated sister on his way out of the courtroom.

“Love you, Knes,” Justine Johnson told him as passed.

“Yep,” he replied.

Justine Johnson’s 17-year-old brother — who is not being named due to his age—then testified he woke up about 6 p.m. on Sept. 16 and went to a bathroom, where he encountered his sister.

“I went into the bathroom and it looked like (Justine Johnson) was doing lines,” he said. “As soon as I went to walk in, she brushed it away. But I’m not sure.”

“Doing lines” refers to snorting drugs in a powdered form. The teen described the substance in question as a scoop of white powder that was on the bathroom’s vanity sink.

The teen said he asked his sister where Sutton was.

“She said, ‘Mind your own [expletive]ing business.’ But that’s like her normal response,” he testified.

The witness said he did not look for Sutton in the house. Shortly thereafter, he said Justine Johnson exited the house to approach a red vehicle that had stopped at a store across the street. She was not there long before returning to the house, he said.

The witness said he took a shower and once he finished, his sister was gone. He left shortly thereafter to go to the beach, returning about 10 p.m., he said.

Bacarella asked if Justine Johnson or Sutton were home when he returned.

“Nobody was home,” the witness said.

When Knesley Johnson arrived home a few hours later, the witness said he went to a back room of their house and found a garbage bag.

“There was like a foot sticking out of the bag,” he said. “I ran up and told Knesley, ‘There’s a foot in a bag.’ He didn’t believe me. He thought I was joking.”

The brothers together looked at the bag, then called an uncle, the 17-year-old testified.

Defense attorney Nathan R. Tyler asked the witness if it was unusual not to see Sutton around the house. The witness replied it was.

Tyler then asked the witness why he hadn’t looked for Sutton.

“I thought (Justine Johnson) knew where she was probably,” the witness replied.

As she did when Knesley Johnson finished testifying, Justine Johnson told her other brother she loved him as he walked by her.

“Uh huh,” her brother replied.

Next witness Oscoda Township Police Officer Gerald Soboleski testified he responded to the Johnson family home in the early hours of Sept. 17.

“The caller stated they had found a foot on their porch,” Soboleski said. Upon arrival, he parked at the end of the residence’s driveway, where he was greeted by Johnson’s brothers and an uncle.

“Knesley started telling me about how he came home from work on this day and looked throughout the house for his sister and niece and was unable to locate them,” the officer testified. “At that point, he said, ‘And then we found this,’ referring to what we later found was the human foot.”

Soboleski went to a back room of the house, where he found a circular blue tote with two garbage bags stocked on top. Protruding from one of the bags was a small child’s foot, Soboleski said.

“I felt the bottom of the child’s foot. It was cold to the touch, and EMS was called to the scene,” he said. Soboleski secured the scene and called a detective sergeant. A medical examiner also responded to scene, he said.

Shane Hill, a forensic scientist with the Michigan State Police Crime Lab in Bridgeport, said he and three fellow team members went to the crime scene on Sept. 17 to process it for evidence and take photographs. The investigators found several bloodstains on a hallway closet door, on living room couches, and on items in a bedroom.

They also confiscated three knives found in a bedroom, Hill said.

Inside the black trash bag within the blue tote, Sutton’s body was wrapped in a comforter. A pair of jeans were also in the bag, while a black sweatshirt was under the bag at the bottom of the tote, Hill said.

The jeans tested positive for blood, Hill said. Investigators were also alerted to a potential secondary site within an apartment complex, where numerous other items were seized that bore apparent blood stains, Hill said.

Bacarella asked Hill if he formed a conclusion as to where the killing occurred based on the blood evidence. Hill replied Sutton was more than likely killed inside the Johnson family home.

Sgt. Kenneth Binder, a latent print technician with the Michigan State Police Crime Lab, testified there were 13 finger- and palmprints recovered from the bag Sutton’s body was found in. All 13 prints were Justine Johnson’s, Binder said.

No other identifiable prints were recovered from the bag, Binder said. A bloody palmprint recovered from a wall in the house came from Sutton, Binder added.

Questioned by Tyler, Binder could not say how long Justine Johnson’s prints had been on the trash bag. There did not appear to be blood associated with any of Justine Johnson’s prints, Binder said.

Pathologist Dr. Jaya L. Sankaran, the Iosco County medical examiner, testified she went to the Cedar Lake Road scene and assisted in removing Sutton’s body from the bag and tote. She gave the body a preliminary examination and noted stab wounds to Sutton’s neck, chest, and abdomen, with a gaping wound exposing a portion of the small intestine, Sankaran said.

Oscoda Township Police Officer Danny Gallahar testified he had compiled a timeline of the comings-and-goings at the Johnson house on Sept. 16 based on nearby businesses’ surveillance camera footage.

At 3:23 p.m., Justine Johnson exited the Cedar Lake Road home, crossed the street to a former cleaning business, sat down and put her head in her hands, Gallahar said. Johnson was wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans as she paced around outside. Judging by the design on it, it appeared the sweatshirt was the same one later found in the blue tote with Sutton’s body, Gallahar said.

Justine Johnson returned to the home at 3:46 p.m., Gallahar said. At 3:55 p.m., she again exited the house and began walking southbound along the shoulder of Cedar Lake Road.

A vehicle appeared to drop off Justine Johnson at her home at 6:06 p.m., Gallahar said. Police later identified the driver of this vehicle, who said he had picked Johnson up in town. The driver later described Johnson’s demeanor as being in a confused and possibly drug-addled state, Gallahar said.

About an hour later, Justine Johnson again left the house, wearing different clothing than she had on before. At 7:24 p.m., she walked across the street and approached a maroon SUV, though she did not make contact with any occupants, the officer said.

Bacarella asked Gallaher if any of the video footage showed Sutton with her mother.

“At no time do you see Sutton in any video,” Gallaher replied.

Justine Johnson left the home again at 7:37 p.m. The video footage did not show anyone else entering or exiting the house until Johnson’s younger brother left to go to the beach.

When testimony concluded, Bacarella asked Judge Martin to bind Johnson’s case over to Circuit Court for trial. Martin granted the request and scheduled a pre-trial hearing for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 28. In the meantime, Johnson is to remain jailed without bond.

My heart goes out to the family who’s here,” the judge said at the hearing’s end. “Good luck to you, Justine, as your case proceeds.”

A Michigan teen was sentenced to up to 100 years in prison after beating a 64-year-old retiree to death in a church parking lot in what was called a road rage incident.

The defense team of Christian Hillman, 19, of the Grand Rapids suburb of Ada, Mich., called the Sept. 29 incident a tragedy Monday but said the teen was assaulted. Hillman’s sentence: 22½ to 100 years on a charge of second-degree murder.

“I think just because someone gets angry in a road-rage incident, it doesn’t justify assaulting and killing a man,” said Blair Lachman, Kent County assistant prosecutor. He argued that a lesser charge of involuntary manslaughter was inappropriate because of eyewitness accounts that Hillman kicked William “Andy” McFarlan of Caledonia, Mich., several times after the man collapsed beside his pickup truck.

“I think if they came back with manslaughter, the excuse for people would be we can handle these situations violently,” Lachman said. “It shouldn’t be that message.”

McFarlan died nearly five weeks after the beating. He suffered several fractured ribs, broken facial bones and a fractured skull.

Emergency room doctors gave the General Motors retiree little chance of survival.

Hillman initially was charged with assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder, a 10-year felony. The charge was upgraded after McFarlan’s death Oct. 31.

The then-18-year-old was riding a dirt bike after sunset, according to testimony. McFarlan was returning from a fishing trip.

McFarlan’s pickup was traveling behind Hillman, and the driver began flashing his bright lights and sounding the horn.

Hillman pulled into a church parking lot in Alto, Mich. McFarlan followed, defense lawyer Michael Bartish said.

“Whatever happened, Mr. McFarlan is following Christian into that parking lot,” Bartish told jurors in closing arguments last week. “There is no reason for that vehicle to have followed him into that parking lot unless the intent was for a fight.”

Hillman previously said he defended himself when McFarlan grabbed his neck.
