A woman has been arrested and charged with the death of her 4-year-old son.

According to the Everett Police Department, 27-year-old Janet Garcia is facing a murder charge after her 4-year-old son’s body was found along Interstate 5 in Pierce County on Thursday.

Garcia’s son Ariel was reported missing by a family member on Wednesday in Everett, Wash.

According to court documents, a person close to Garcia reported finding a substantial amount of blood on the floor where Garcia was staying with her son after the two had left the residence.

Clark County deputies interviewed Garcia about the situation and she reportedly told them that her son had fallen off a bed and hit his head in Everett.

According to court documents, she told police that she took her son to a Providence Hospital in Everett, but found the wait was “too long” so she left, dropped her son with a friend in Seattle, and then took a bus to Ridgefield “to get alcohol treatment.”

Deputies noted that they saw blood on Garcia’s shoes and blood specks on her white shirt during her interview, documents said.

On Thursday, detectives said Ariel’s body was found near I-5 with the Snohomish County Medical Examiner determining his cause of death.

Authorities said Garcia was initially charged on Thursday with giving false statements to law enforcement.

According to deputies, Garcia could not articulate any of the locations she said she went to.

On Friday, the Everett Police Department said Garcia is also facing charges of first-degree murder, second-degree murder and first-degree assault of a child.

According to police, they are continuing their investigation, including looking into a vehicle of interest that was found in a business parking lot in the Ridgefield area.

The mother of a 4-year-old boy who went missing out of Everett and was later found dead was arrested in connection to his death Friday.

Janet Garcia, 27, of Lynnwood, Washington, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and first-degree assault of a child. She was arrested and charged with making a false statement to a public servant in Clark County earlier in the day.

She was booked in the Snohomish County jail Friday night.

The boy, Ariel Garcia, was reported missing by other family members on Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, the Washington State Patrol sent out a mass alert to the public about his disappearance.

The boy’s body was found in Pierce County along Interstate 5 at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday, according to the Everett Police Department.

“I am completely heartbroken for the family and friends of Ariel Garcia and they will remain in my thoughts as they grieve this unbelievably tragic loss,” said Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin in a press release.

According to documents from the Clark County District Court, Janet Garcia told police her son fell out of a bed and hit his head when they were staying at a friend’s house in Everett. When the friend returned to their house, they found a “substantial amount” of blood and Janet and Ariel were gone.

Janet Garcia was found in Ridgefield, Washington, while law enforcement was searching for her son. There, she told police she tried to take her son to a hospital in Everett after the reported fall, but the wait was too long. She then said she dropped the 4-year-old off at a friend’s house in Seattle.

According to court documents, police noted that while they interviewed Janet Garcia in Ridgefield, there were what appeared to be splatters of blood on her shoes and shirt.

Police said throughout the questioning, Janet Garcia’s answers were “inconsistent and difficult to follow” but continued to say her son had fallen and hit his head.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner will soon determine the cause and manner of death.
Petition for emergency guardianship

Ariel Garcia’s grandmother filed a petition for emergency guardianship in Snohomish County Superior Court on Monday, days before Ariel Garcia went missing. In the petition, the grandmother asked a judge to appoint her Ariel Garcia’s emergency guardian, saying her daughter, Janet Garcia, struggled with alcohol and drug abuse, which had “gotten worse” in the last few months.

The grandmother said Janet Garcia recently took Ariel Garcia with her to drink at a bar with a friend and he was wearing inappropriate clothing for the weather. She also left Ariel Garcia in the care of his 7-year-old brother for a day without proper supervision.

“While she is on drugs, her behavior is unpredictable and I am scared she will harm him in the process,” the grandmother wrote in the petition.

Richard Bradley Jr. Washington Serial Killer

Richard Bradley Jr. serial killer

Richard Bradley Jr. is an alleged serial killer from Washington State who has been charged with the murders of four people

According to police reports Richard Bradley Jr. was charged with the murder of Brandi Blake back in 2021 and has been sitting in jail waiting for trial however authorities have now charged him with the murders of Emilio Maturin, Michael Goeman, 59, and Goeman’s 31-year-old son Vance Lakey

Apparently Richard Bradley Jr would find people who had recently came into money and lure them to his property to dig for gold. When the victims would arrive they would be murdered and buried on the property

Richard Bradley Jr faces two counts of first degree murder, two counts of second degree murder and arson

Richard Bradley Jr News

An alleged serial killer in Washington state has been hit with new murder charges after authorities revealed that he may have used the same scheme to kill all four of his victims by telling them he needed their help finding buried treasure.

Richard Bradley Jr, 40, who has been awaiting trial of murder charges in the death of 44-year-old Brandi Blake since his arrest in 2021, has now been charged in the deaths of three more people, one identified from ribs buried on Bradley’s 160-acre Game Farm Park in Auburn and matched to his mother using DNA.

According to authorities, all four were killed after they came into money and fell for Bradley’s tale that he needed their help digging up buried gold in a wooded area of his farm. He then killed his victims, stole their possessions – including their cars – which he then drove around.

The scheme came to light in murder charges filed this month in the death of Emilio Maturin, who was 36 when he was last seen alive in July 2019, and Michael Goeman, 59, and Goeman’s 31-year-old son Vance Lakey, according to court documents obtained by The Seattle Times.

Bradley has also been charged with arson for allegedly offering a man $1,000 to set fire to Goeman and Vakey’s Dodge Durango after it had been impounded. Their bodies were found in the same area as Bradley’s farm.

According to prosecutors, Goeman had received a substantial inheritance just before he and his son were killed; Blake had won $20,000 at a casino and was known to carry large amounts of drugs and cash before her death; and Maturin always took his cash and drugs with him whenever he left home.

After Maturin was reported missing by his girlfriend in August, 2019, she told detectives that she’d overhead Bradley saying “he needed help digging up some buried gold.”

Despite some skepticism, Maturin went to visit Bradley in a white BMW with a pound of heroin and $15,000 in cash. He never returned. His girlfriend tracked his phone to Bradley’s farm. Police later spotted the parked BMW and waited for the driver. Bradley was later arrested after a car and foot chase.

Bradley is scheduled to stand trial next month in the death of Brandi Blake, and now faces a total of two counts of premeditated first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder and second-degree arson. He has not yet entered a plea for the new charges.

According to police reports Ramin Khodakaramrezaei would initially become friends with the podcast host, Zohreh Sadeghi, initially however Ramin quickly became obsessive which would eventually lead to a restraining order against him. Ramin Khodakaramrezaei would call Zohreh Sadeghi up to twenty times a day harassing her and her husband Mohammed Naseri.

Unfortunately police were unable to stop Ramin Khodakaramrezaei and it ended with the double murder suicide

Ramin Khodakaramrezaei More News

A 38-year-old man from Texas broke into a Redmond home early Friday morning and killed the husband and wife living inside. The man, identified as Ramin Khodakaramrezaei by Redmond police, was found dead inside the home with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound when officers arrived at the scene around 1:45 a.m. Friday.

According to the Redmond Police Department (RPD), officers responded to the 16700 block of Northeast 89th Street for a report of shots fired inside a home. Police said the woman’s mom was staying at the home with the couple and was able to escape and call 911 after Khodakaramrezaei broke into the home through a window.

Officers found the 35-year-old husband lying on the floor when they arrived. The 33-year-old wife and Khodakaramrezaei were both found dead inside the home. Redmond police later confirmed the husband was identified as Mohammad Milad Naseri and his wife as Zohreh Sadeghi.

Scott Hale, who lives behind the couple’s home, said it was “blood curdling to hear” referencing the attack.

Redmond police said the 33-year-old woman was a stalking victim and had filed a no-contact order against Khodakaramrezaei. Police said the woman had a podcast and had developed a friendship with Khodakaramrezaei after he had listened to her podcast, which was devoted to helping Farsi-speaking people find jobs in the tech industry. However, police said she filed a no-contact order against Khodakaramrezaei after things escalated and he started sending her more messages and wouldn’t stop.

Redmond police said officers and detectives “were familiar with the victim and residence because of the ongoing stalking investigation.”

The restraining order was a misdemeanor, according to police. Redmond police said Khodakaramrezaei was a “trucker” and had not yet been served with the restraining order because his location was difficult to pin down since he wasn’t local.

Redmond Police Chief Darrell Lowe spoke to media at the crime scene Friday afternoon. He said this stalking case was so severe, he was told about it by an investigator several days prior to the killings.

“This is the worst case scenario. This is every victim, every investigator, every police chief’s worst nightmare,” said Lowe. He also said this is the first homicide to happen in Redmond since at least 2021.

According to the protection order obtained by KOMO News, Khodakaramrezaei had called Sadeghi and left voicemails more than 10 times a week and had messaged her husband upwards of 20 times a day.

Sadeghi first told Ramin Khodakaramrezaei to leave her alone on Nov. 6, 2022, according to the protection order. Throughout November and December, the protection order states Khodakaramrezaei continued to call the woman from various numbers, including from the nearby inns he was staying at. It led Sadeghi to block all private numbers in an attempt to get him to stop contacting her, but to no avail.

On Dec. 20, 2022, documents show Ramin Khodakaramrezaei came to the woman’s house to personally deliver flowers shortly after seeing her husband leave the house. That’s when the woman called police.

Sadeghi also wrote in the protection order that Ramin Khodakaramrezaei threatened he “would show up to my door and burn himself and set fire on my house by burning the tree that I love.”

According to the no-contact order, Ramin Khodakaramrezaei called Sadeghi more than 50 times in December alone, even though the woman said she never shared her or her husband’s contact information with Khodakaramrezaei.

Sadeghi stated that Ramin Khodakaramrezaei left her voicemails saying he won’t let her go and the “only thing that will make all this stop is if he killed himself or died,” the protection order states.

Documents show Khodakaramrezaei had sent Sadeghi gifts on two other occasions, even going as far as to hire a jazz band to play outside the woman’s house for two hours – but he later canceled it, according to the court documents.

Khodakaramrezaei also contacted the woman’s husband, sending him more than 20 messages every day, court documents state. In one of the messages sent to the husband, Khodakaramrezaei “stated he would kill himself if he mustered up the courage,” according to the order.

Khodakaramrezaei also acquired the numbers and addresses of the woman’s friends without their knowledge and started contacting them.

The protection order states Khodakaramrezaei came to the couple’s neighborhood several times and would stay at inns nearby. He even parked down the street from the couple’s home, according to court documents.

In the petition for the protection order, Sadeghi wrote, “Khodakaramrezaei has bursts of anger and is completely delusional. These delusions make me fear for my life and the lives of my loved ones.”

According to the protection order, Sadeghi recently had major back surgery and her mobility was affected, which made her fear for her ability to “respond to a crisis.” She described increasing fear following several attempts to get Khodakaramrezaei to stop contacting her and her loved ones.

“All of this has caused me great distress and pain, and now I am suffering from a deep-seated fear for my safety. It has taken a toll on my recovery,” Sadeghi wrote, adding, “I haven’t been able to open the curtains in my bedroom out of fear of him being outside watching me.”

Sadeghi stated she received two voicemails from Khodakaramrezaei as recently as Feb. 28, which she described as “vulgar, angry, and threatening.” Khodakaramrezaei also allegedly installed an app on his phone and was recording Sadeghi without her consent, according to the protection order.

Khodakaramrezaei continued to send gifts in early January, such as jewelry. Documents show he was given a warning on Jan. 16, 2023, but Khodakaramrezaei continued to send gifts as recently as Feb. 20. Documents show Sadeghi received a neck scarf, which police took as evidence the following day.

“Our hearts go out to the victim’s family and the Redmond community following this horrific tragedy,” said Redmond Police Chief Darrell Lowe. “This is an incredibly sad situation and the worst possible outcome of a stalking case. We will continue investigating what led to this tragic loss.”

Police who also saw marks on the child’s body that appear after a person is tased. Ivey Lewis who just received the three year old back into her home from foster care was arrested and charged with murder.

Ivey Lewis More News

A 25-year-old woman was charged with murder after her 3-year-old son was found dead and “cold to the touch” inside an apartment in Tacoma Sunday evening.

The Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Ivey Lewis, 25, with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder on Tuesday. Lewis pleaded not guilty to the charges in Pierce County Superior Court Tuesday afternoon. A judge set bail at $2 million and said Lewis cannot have any contact with her surviving 1-year-old child.

Ivey Lewis is currently in custody while pregnant with her third child.

According to the Tacoma Police Department (TPD), officers responded to an apartment complex on the 3200 block of South Mason Avenue around 7:35 p.m. Sunday for a welfare check after receiving a report of an unresponsive child in the home.

Court documents show a man who was a friend of Lewis’ called 911 after going to the apartment after the Super Bowl to “hang out.” The man told officers that Lewis said she thought something was wrong with her son.

The 911 caller said the 3-year-old was on the bedroom floor wrapped in a blanket and that the child was “not responsive and appeared cold to the touch.” The man then told Lewis to call 911 and ran to a nearby store to call 911 himself, documents say.

Responding officers were told by Ivey Lewis that her 3-year-old son was unresponsive in the bedroom. TPD officers located the 3-year-old inside the bedroom lying on his back on the bed. Lewis’ 1-year-old child was also in the room sitting on the bed next to the 3-year-old’s body, according to court documents.

TPD officers attempted to give the toddler CPR, but “it was quickly obvious” that the child was dead and could not be revived. Court documents say the 3-year-old was “very stiff,” and that “there was no pulse.” The Tacoma Fire Department declared the boy dead at the scene just before 8 p.m.

While attempting to treat the 3-year-old, officers noted there were multiple bruises on the child’s face that “appeared to be fresh.” Court documents say the child’s face was also discolored and that there were “obvious burn marks” and cuts on his face.

Officers also observed other injuries to the child, including “small scabs to his midsection,” trauma to the front of the child’s head and swelling above the eyebrow.

Other marks on the child’s body “appeared consistent with being struck with an object.” There were multiple similar injuries of different colors and shades, documents say, “indicating the injuries were likely inflicted at different times.”

Court documents show there were also injuries to the boy’s chest, sides, arms and legs that were “consistent with being struck with an object.” Several small marks on the child’s chest also “appeared to coincide with an electronic shock device (taser) located on the kitchen table,” according to court documents.

Ivey Lewis told TPD officers that her son had run into the wall “multiple times” and hit his head recently and that “he did that regularly.” According to court documents, Lewis told police her son had been sleeping next to the living room heater when she found that he was unresponsive. Lewis said she then picked her son up and moved him into the bedroom before the officers arrived.

TPD officers noted in court documents that the living room heater was “on maximum” when they arrived at the apartment and that “the apartment was so hot that one of the officers reported that it was difficult to breathe inside.”

Responding officers also noted in court documents that the living area and apartment’s kitchen were both dirty and “did not appear to be well kept.”

KOMO News spoke to some of Lewis’ neighbors, who were surprised to hear about the allegations, given how she spoke about her kids.

“She talked about them like they were her everything,” one neighbor, who wanted to remain anonymous, said, “It was very surprising – it was sad more than anything.”

“To know that she loves her kids, she talks about her kids, she cares about her kids, everything she was doing was for her kids,” the neighbor shared, “It seems crazy she would be accused of such a thing, and her kids were the world to her.”

During an interview, Ivey Lewis told investigators that she was under supervision by Child Protective Services. Court documents say that the 3-year-old had been in foster care from when he was about 10 months old until about six months before his death.

Ivey Lewis denied using narcotics other than marijuana, but later admitted to using methamphetamine several days before the 3-year-old was found unresponsive, court documents say.

Court documents show Lewis’ 1-year-old child that was also at the apartment was taken to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital for a medical evaluation. Medical staff said the child had methamphetamine in his system.

“The state has filed an aggravated factor of deliberate cruelty due to the number, type and severity of the victim’s injuries,” a Pierce County prosecutor said in court Tuesday, “These injuries show the defendant is a danger to others, particularly her surviving 1-year old child who likely had methamphetamine in his system at the time. “

Court documents say the state will “likely file an additional charge” against Ivey Lewis once the state confirms the 1-year-old had methamphetamine in his system.

Jason Lewis Charged In 13 YR Old Karon Blake Murder

karon blake

Jason Lewis is a man from Washington DC who has been charged in the murder of thirteen year old Karon Blake. According to police reports Karon Blake was allegedly breaking into a car when Jason Lewis would come out and shoot the thirteen year old boy. Jason Lewis attempted to perform CPR on the child as he waited for the ambulance to come. Unfortunately Karon Blake would not survive his injuries.

According to his lawyer Jason Lewis is a forty one year old man who has worked for the Department Of Parks And Recreation. Jason Lewis also has a concealed weapons permit and the weapon used was registered legally.

Jason Lewis would turn himself into police and was charged with second degree murder. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in court as obviously it is a shame that a child was killed but on the other end you have a homeowner who is protecting his property. I am not sure how DC works when it comes to this situation.

Jason Lewis More News

The D.C. government employee who shot and killed 13-year-old Karon Blake turned himself in Tuesday to face a second-degree murder charge, D.C. police chief Robert Contee said.

Blake yelled “I’m sorry,” “I am a kid” and “I am only 12” numerous times as the suspect fired in his direction, according to court documents that described surveillance video. Contee said video was integral to the investigation.

Jason Lewis, 41, is charged with second-degree murder while armed for shooting Blake on Quincy Street NE in the Brookland neighborhood about 4 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, court documents say.

Lewis heard noises and saw someone who appeared to be “tampering with a vehicle.” The resident stepped outside armed with a legally registered gun, and after an interaction with the teen, opened fire, according to police. Neighbors said they heard four to five gunshots during the incident.

Police said the man performed CPR on Blake after shooting him. Blake died a short time later at a hospital.

Officers found a stolen car near the scene, which they believe Blake had used, police said. Two sources familiar with the investigation told News4 that the car was a stolen KIA and its engine was running.

D.C. police chief Robert Contee said earlier this month that a grand jury was convened to investigate the case.

He said people are making allegations centered around race, and photos are circulating on social media of innocent people who have been accused in the killing. Contee said those accusations were false and that the man involved is African American.

“I think it’s getting really reckless and dangerous with some of the behavior that I’m seeing. We normally do not identify people … in this similar situation unless we have a warrant in hand for that person, or unless there’s a person who we are trying to identify and we don’t know who that person is. That is not what we’re dealing with here,” Contee said.

The man who shot Blake was cooperative with police, and retained a lawyer, Contee said. He was placed on administrative leave from his city job after the shooting, city officials said

Blake was a student at Brookland Middle School.

“He was a quiet and inquisitive scholar who loved fashion and football. Although he loved his neighborhood, he loved Brookland MS (the faculty & his peers) and the structure it presented to him even more. He leaves behind his mom and three younger siblings,” Brookland Middle School Principal Kerry Richardson said.

Blake was remembered as the “nicest boy” in his class who made his siblings laugh during a vigil earlier this month.

The killing led safety advocates and D.C. Councilmembers to question why deadly force was used.

“Property is not greater than life. Karon should be alive today,” D.C. Council member Christina Henderson tweeted.

Ward 5 Council member Zachary Parker released a statement saying, in part, “No car or material possession is worth a life – under any circumstance. I join Ward 5 residents in calling on the MPD and the U.S. Attorney’s office to hold accountable the individual who took Karon’s life.”

“If you feel there is a public safety issue in or around your home, call 911. That is the appropriate thing to do, to call 911,” D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said.
