According to police reports 911 was called to a home in Hillsborough Township New Jersey with the male caller stating that he believed his wife had harmed their two sons
When officers arrived at the scene they would find the bodies of his five and seven year old sons unresponsive. Medical personnel attempted to revive the children however they were unsuccessful and the children were pronounced dead at the scene
As of this time it is not known the cause of the death of the two young boys and authorities have not released the name of the victims
Priyatharsini Natarajan was arrested and has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

A 35-year-old township mother has been charged with murdering her two sons, ages 5 and 7.
Priyatharsini Natarajan has been charged with two counts of murder and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
Natarajan was arrested at her family home in the Brookhaven Lofts community off Route 206 after her husband arrived home Tuesday evening and found his two sons unconscious.
The father called 911 at about 6:45 p.m. and reported that his wife had done something to them, according to the prosecutor’s office.
When police arrived, they found the two boys dead in a bedroom, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Emergency medical personnel and officers tried life-saving measures, but the children were pronounced dead at the scene, the prosecutor’s office said.
The identities of the children have not been released pending positive identification by the Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
A postmortem examination will be performed by the Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office to determine how the boys died.
Priyatharsini Natarajan was taken to the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
The case is being investigated by detectives from the Hillsborough Township Police Department, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, the Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and medical investigators from the New Jersey Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
This is the second time in a little over four years that a mother has been charged with murdering her children in Hillsborough.
In November 2021, Yuhwei Chou, 36, of the Skillman section of Montgomery, was charged with murdering her 7-year-old daughter and 10-month-old son in a car on East Mountain Road.
