Deonize Lee Jr is an alleged killer from Kentucky who has been charged with three counts of murder
According to police reports Deonize Lee Jr would be arrested after allegedly fatally shooting his stepfather Jeremy Thomas following an argument. The murder took place on Saturday, August 16 2025
However while in custody police continued to investigate Deonize Lee Jr and linked him to two other murder cases.
In the first murder Deonize Lee Jr has been charged with the fatal shooting of Mozell Issacc Johnson, Jr which took place on July 9, 2023
In the second murder Deonize Lee Jr has been charged with the murder of Jermia Offutt who was four months pregnant at the time of her death. That murder took place on August 13, 2025
Deonize Lee Jr now faces a very long list of charges including murder, fetal homicide, wanton endangerment and tampering with evidence.

A Jefferson County Grand Jury has returned a 17 count indictment against a man already being held in connection in one murder case with being involved in two other homicides.
The indictment charges Deonize Lee Jr., 22, with murder in a July 9, 2023, homicide in the 2000 block of Wilson Ave. That case, which happened in the Park Hill neighborhood, involves the shooting death of Mozell Issacc Johnson, Jr.
The second homicide happened around 9 p.m. August 13, 2025, in the 4000 block of West Broadway. The victim, Jermia Offutt, 28, of Louisville, was taken to UofL Hospital for treatment but died from her wounds.
Family members said Offutt, who was a mother to three kids, was pregnant with her fourth child. The indictment in the death of Offutt includes one count of fetal homicide.
Lee was already in custody at Louisville Metro Corrections in connection with a St. Matthews Police Department homicide investigation. That homicide happened on the morning of Saturday, August 16, in the 800 block of Markham Lane, where the Jamestown Apartments are located.
Officers arrived to find a man who had been shot multiple times. The victim, Jeremy Thomas, 48, died at UofL Hospital from his injuries.
Police found a gun on the ground said the magazine had been removed from the weapon.
Lee was originally charged with assault-domestic violence, but the charges were upgraded to murder-domestic violence. Lee told detectives that he had been in an altercation with his stepfather when he got a gun and shot him multiple times.
In addition to the fetal homicide and murder charges, Lee was indicted on one count of criminal attempted murder, 10 counts of wanton endangerment and two counts of tampering with physical evidence.
Lee will be arraigned in Jefferson Circuit Court on October 14.
