Police have made an arrest in the shooting death of 13-year-old Tyler Lawrence last weekend in Mattapan.

Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden said Monday that an arrest warrant has been obtained for 34-year-old Csean Skerritt, who is already in police custody. Skerritt was arrested Sunday and charged with a drug distribution offense involving fentanyl. He’s expected to be arraigned on a first-degree murder charge in the coming days.

Tyler was gunned down in Mattapan last Sunday, January 29, in broad daylight while walking in his grandmother’s neighborhood.

“There is still a lot that we do not know about this terrible crime,” Hayden said as he asked anyone in the public with information to come forward. “But we do know that a 13-year-old was gunned down on a city street on an early Sunday afternoon. And we know that a monstrous event has shaken our city to its core.”

Hayden indicated this wasn’t a random act, saying “we believe that the shooter in this case intended to do what he did.”

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu said the community has been “robbed” of seeing Tyler grow up. She said there’s “work to do” to make sure people are safe on the streets of Boston.

“Today is about a measure of accountability and a measure of justice that we hope will begin to continue solidifying the healing process,” Wu said.

The district attorney’s office said Skerritt was convicted of firearm offenses in 2011 and 2014.

Skerritt was charged with murder in 2015 for an alleged incident that happened the year prior. The Suffolk district attorney’s office also confirmed that a jury found Skerritt not guilty in that case during a trial in 2017.

Tyler’s mother Remy Lawrence has pleaded for justice in her son’s case. Hundreds gathered in Norwood to pay their respects to Tyler on Sunday.

Following Skerritt’s arrest, Remy Lawrence released a statement saying the family is “relieved and grateful that Boston Police and the District Attorney’s Office have taken the first steps toward justice for our beloved Tyler, who was taken from us last Sunday morning as he walked near his grandparent’s house.”

“We would like to thank all of the investigators, the detectives, and the elected officials for their continued support for our family, for their integrity and their persistence. We would also like to thank the Town of Norwood, the Norwood Public Schools, Keisha Desir and all of the family, friends and supporters who came together yesterday to honor and remember our Tyler,” Remy Lawrence added. “Those who have stood with us have displayed an immense outpouring of love and support and we are so grateful for it at this difficult time. We will have no other comments at this time to ensure we protect the integrity of the ongoing police investigation and we encourage anyone with any further information to come forward to the police investigators.”

Friend and Neighbor Addie Varon was shocked when he learned of Tyler’s death.

“They knew him, they knew he was a good boy and that he didn’t deserve to die the way he did,” Varon said.  “I want to see why he had no heart to do that. He was only 13.”

Tony Richards, who knew the middle schooler from the No Books No Ball program he runs, is calling for the community to step up against violence.

“We as a community, we have to be more accountable and do more work in our community to prevent these types of tragedies from happening,” Richards said. “Those are the jewels of our community that are being taken away just recklessly and unnecessarily.”

Prosecutors said the mother of two children who were found dead inside a Duxbury home Tuesday night will be charged with their murders. A third child was seriously hurt and remains hospitalized.

Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz said Wednesday that an arrest warrant has been issued for 32-year-old Lindsay Clancy.

Police were called to the house on Summer Street just after 6 p.m. Tuesday. The children’s father came home and discovered the his wife first, reporting she had tried to take her own life. She was taken to a hospital.

Inside the home, police found 5-year-old Cora Clancy and 3-year-old Dawson Clancy suffering from “obvious signs of severe trauma” after they were allegedly strangled. They were rushed to an area hospital but did not survive.

A 7-month-old boy was also found unconscious. He was taken to a Boston hospital by MedFlight and remains hospitalized.

Sources told the WBZ-TV I-Team that investigators are looking at the possibility that Lindsay Clancy was suffering from postpartum psychosis. She was on leave from her job as a nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Clancy is still hospitalized under police custody and will be arraigned as soon as she is physically able.

Our community is of course reeling from the tragic events of last night,” said Duxbury Town Manager René Read.

“To all those who responded we care about you,” said Duxbury Fire Chief Robert Reardon. “If you or a colleague is in need of support, please reach out.”

“It’s a challenging event,” said Cruz. “I think being a police officer, being a first responder, has never been more challenging, and I think we should all be thanking them for their efforts and we should continue to pray for the family.”

A spokesperson for Massachusetts General Hospital released a statement Wednesday saying, “We are shocked and saddened to learn of this unthinkable tragedy. We extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected by these devastating events.

Brian Walshe Charged In Ana Walshe Missing Person Case

Brian Walshe Ana Walshe

Brian Walshe has been arrested and charged in the missing person case of his wife Ana Walshe who suddenly disappeared in Massachusetts. According to police reports Brian Walshe has been arrested and charged with misleading police in the search for missing mother of three Ana Walshe. Authorities have been conducting a deep search for the last few days with little to show for it. Unfortunately in cases such as the Ana Walshe disappearance the person of interest is arrested on a minor charge however more severe charges tend to follow in the upcoming days.

Brian Walshe More News

The husband of a Massachusetts woman who has not been seen since early in the morning on New Year’s Day is in custody.

Brian Walshe, 46, was arrested on a charge of misleading a police investigation in connection with the disappearance of his 39-year-old wife, Ana Walshe, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.

Only 5 Investigates’ cameras were there as Brian Walshe was taken into custody and led into the Cohasset Police Department in handcuffs. 5 Investigates’ cameras also captured video of Walshe’s gray Volvo XC90 being put into the police station garage.

Ana Walshe was last seen by a family member in her Cohasset home between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Jan. 1, according to Cohasset police Chief William Quigley. Quigley also said Walshe’s cellphone, as well as her credit and debit cards, have been inactive since New Year’s Day.

She was reported missing on Wednesday, simultaneously by Brian Walshe and her employer, Washington, D.C.-based real estate company Tishman Speyer.

The Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office has since taken the lead on the missing person investigation after Cohasset police, the Massachusetts Special Emergency Response Team, Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council and other agencies searched around the Walshe family’s home off of the Chief Justice Cushing Highway (Route 3A) from Friday through Sunday.

Multiple marked and unmarked police cruisers arrived at the Walshes’ home at about 9 a.m. on Sunday, less than 16 hours after Massachusetts State Police and Cohasset Police Department officials said the ground search would not resume unless they developed new information that would warrant a renewed search.

Sources told NewsCenter 5’s Ted Wayman that investigators arrived at the Walshe family’s home with a search warrant on Sunday. Detectives were seen wearing protective layers on their shoes as they searched in and around the house.

Video from Sky5 showed that the search appeared to extend to sheds near the home, areas where police had not focused on during earlier searches.

“Police developed probable cause to believe that (Ana Walshe’s) husband, Brian Walshe, had committed the crime of misleading police investigators,” reads a statement from the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.

NewsCenter 5’s Brianna Borghi saw young children being led out of the house Sunday morning. Ana and Brian Walshe have three young boys together between the ages of 2 and 6.

Borghi also saw a red truck pull up to the home earlier Sunday morning and drop off an older woman, who spoke with an investigator for a few minutes. That same woman later appeared to leave the home with the children in a different vehicle. Borghi then saw a man leave the home in a separate vehicle shortly thereafter.

Brian Walshe is expected to be arraigned Monday morning in Quincy District Court, and the DA’s Office said additional facts may or may not be entered into the record at that time

A family member told police Ana Walshe was supposed to take a ride-share to Boston Logan International Airport in an attempt to catch an early morning flight to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on Jan. 1.

“It’s been said that she was called to D.C. to handle some type of emergency at one of the properties that she manages. That’s why she was attempting to go to D.C. (on New Year’s Day),” Quigley said.

Quigley added, however, that Cohasset police had been in contact with rideshare companies and have so far been unable to confirm that she got into a rideshare vehicle outside her home. The police chief also said he was able to confirm with all airlines that Walshe did not board a flight this week.

Quigley said officers from the Metropolitan Police Department in D.C. searched the Walshe family’s Washington townhouse but found no sign of Ana Walshe there.

A spokesperson for the Cohasset Police Department said Cohasset and state police detectives arrived in Washington early Saturday morning as part of the investigation. On Sunday, the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office said those investigators were returning from D.C., where they sought any possible evidence or information concerning Ana Walshe’s potential whereabouts.

Friends said Ana Walshe commutes to Washington during the week to work for Tishman Speyer, a job she started last year. She is active on social media, but friends say those accounts went silent on New Year’s Day when she was due to catch a flight.

“She’s a loving and loyal wife and mother of three beautiful boys,” Alissa Kirby, a friend, said. “She loves her family, and I know in my heart that of her choice, she would not go a day without speaking to her husband and her kids.”

On Friday, the Massachusetts State Police Special Emergency Response Team and a regional police team spent much of the day searching the area near the Walshe family’s home in Cohasset. The search was called off for the night after an area of approximately one square mile was covered.

Authorities said 20 troopers from the MSP Special Emergency Response Team, a specialized unit trained in search and rescue operations, as well as three K9 teams, Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council officers and the State Police Air Wing Unit, once again searched wooded areas near Walshe’s home with negative results on Saturday. State police divers also searched a small stream and an in-ground pool on the property with negative results, according to authorities.

Police said Ana Walshe is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes and an olive complexion and speaks with an eastern European accent.

Anyone with information about Ana Walshe’s whereabouts is asked to contact Det. Harrison Schmidt at 781-383-1055 extension 6108 or email [email protected].

Cohasset police have also set up a new email for tips at [email protected]

Latarsha Sanders Gets Life For Voodoo Murders Of 2 Sons

Latarsha Sanders

Latarsha Sanders is a woman from Massachusetts who was just sentenced to life in prison for the murder of her two young sons in what authorities called a Voodoo ritual. According to court documents Latarsha Sanders would stab 8-year-old Edson Brito and 5-year-old La’son Brito over a hundred times in what was called a Voodoo ritual. However another theory was that Latarsha Sanders planned the murders so she would be able to create a Gofund Me campaign in order to profit over the killings. Latarsha Sanders was convicted of 2 counts of murder and one count of witness intimidation. She was automatically sentenced to two life terms without the possibility of parole.

Latarsha Sanders More News

A mother from Brockton, Massachusetts, allegedly stabbed her two young sons to death with a kitchen knife and then told police that their deaths were part of a voodoo ritual.

Latarsha L. Sanders, 43, was arrested earlier this week, Fox News reported. During her Tuesday arraignment hearing, Assistant Plymouth District Attorney Jessica Kenny said that Sanders claimed she stabbed her 8-year-old son Edson “Marlon” Brito for the ritual, but it didn’t work, according to the Boston Herald. So then, Sanders allegedly stabbed 5-year-old Larson Brito to death.

“She said she had stabbed him because she had ‘failed’ in the ritual with Marlon (Edson),” Kenny said. “She responded to police that she felt bad about what she had done.”

The elder son was stabbed 50 times, according to an early autopsy report. Police said that Sanders admitted to the murders.

According to the Boston Globe, just two days before the two boys were found brutally murdered, Sanders was allegedly talking about killing someone to get a human heart for her dying dad.

On Tuesday, the mother pleaded not guilty to murder. She is being held without bail, and it’s unclear if she has a lawyer who can represent her at this time.

Sanders’ mother, Earline Sanders, allegedly told police that Sanders was “mentally unstable and crazy” and refused treatment. She also said that Sanders had become obsessed with the Illuminati, rituals, numerology and sacrifices. Sanders was reportedly rambling about the Illuminati to her mother since Friday.

The discovery of the grisly murders occurred on Monday after Sanders ran screaming and crying to her neighbor. The boys were found under blankets. She told police she was motivated by “voodoo stuff,” reported the Boston Globe

“All crime scenes are grisly. But these victims were innocent children. This was a gruesome and disturbing and, most of all, a heartbreaking crime,” Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz said on Monday, according to the Boston Herald.

Voodoo practitioners and academics told the Globe the religion does not condone violence.

Judy Church Murders Boyfriend With Antifreeze

Judy Church

Judy Church is a woman from Massachusetts who has just been arrested and charged with the murder of her boyfriend who she allegedly poisoned with antifreeze. According to police reports Judy Church would call 911 and reported her boyfriend Leroy Fowler was in medical distress. Leroy Fowler would be rushed to three different hospitals as doctors tried to figure out what was wrong with him before he died two days later.

After an autopsy it was determined that Leroy Fowler had died from ethylene glycol, the main ingredient in antifreeze, and Judy Church was arrested and charged with his murder. Apparently Judy Church had found out that Leroy Fowler was seeing another woman on the side and Judy Church had recently purchased a life insurance policy for Fowler.

Judy Church More News

A Salisbury woman accused of fatally poisoning her boyfriend with ethylene glycol, an industrial compound commonly found in antifreeze, windshield de-icing fluid and hydraulic brake fluid, appeared in court Friday.

Judy Church, 64, is charged with murder in the death of Leroy Fowler, according to the Essex District Attorney’s Office.

Church called 911 on Nov. 11 to request an ambulance for Fowler, saying, “My boyfriend must have ingested something,” according to court documents. EMS responded and found the victim in obvious medical distress.

Fowler was initially taken to Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport and then Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge for a higher level of care. Fowler was brought to Beth Israel Hospital, where he died on Nov. 13.

Hospital staff told the family Fowler’s kidneys were damaged, and “they believed he could have ingested poison,” according to the documents.

Police spoke to Church, who said Fowler was doing some work around the house on Nov. 11 and appeared tired or winded at times.

Police also interviewed Fowler’s son, who said his father had a second girlfriend and was known to “go back and forth between the two women.” He also told police Church took a life insurance policy out in Fowler’s name one year ago.

Fowler’s stepson, Michael Hawkins, told police that Fowler thought Church was poisoning him. Fowler said every time he left Church’s home, “he felt better,” according to the documents.

“Leroy didn’t drink alcohol and was known to like red Powerade, Pepsi and a coffee shake that Judy made for him frequently,” police wrote in their report.

During a search of Church’s residence, police said they found a bottle of orange deicing fluid in the kitchen and a bottle of fruit punch Powerade with orange residue in the trash.

A photo found on Church’s phone showed a clear glass filled with orange liquid in a cup holder secured to a wall over the bed where Flower was known to sleep, officials said.

Church was arraigned Friday on a murder charge at Newburyport District Court and held pending a probable cause hearing that was set for Jan. 23.
