A man who allegedly shot and killed the ex-fiancé of a reality star was denied bond during a preliminary court hearing Tuesday.

Michael Williams is accused of shooting and killing 37-year-old Sutton Tennyson, the ex-fiancé of reality television star Angela Simmons.

He turned himself in Nov. 8 after being wanted in connection with the Nov. 3 shooting. He was also denied bond at his first appearance.

Sutton Tennyson was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside an open garage on Jewel Drive in an upscale southwest Atlanta community, Atlanta police said. The suspect drove away after the fatal shooting, according to police.

Police Detective Darrin Smith said during the hearing that a license plate reader near the scene of the shooting helped identify Williams as the suspect. It had a hit on a 2013 BMW that was registered to Williams, WSB-TV reported.

When officers found the car at his home, Smith said, the tag was missing.

Officers also found guns at the home, but didn’t find the gun used to shoot Tennyson, Smith said.

Williams’ attorney, Jackie Patterson, told the news station that those weapons were owned by the suspect’s wife.

Patterson also said during the hearing that Williams had previously been convicted of manslaughter.

Police said a witness — a contractor who had been discussing a job with Tennyson — is important to the case. The contractor said that before the shooting, a man drove up and got in an argument with the victim, saying Tennyson owed him money, WSB-TV reported.

Tennyson had a child with Simmons, the daughter of Joseph “Rev. Run” Simmons, one of the founding members of legendary rap group Run-DMC. She is the niece of hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons and appears on WE-TV’s “Growing Up Hip Hop.”

Pierre Haobsh Will Die In Prison For Han Family Murders

Pierre Haobsh

Pierre Haobsh will spend the rest of his life in prison after being found guilty of the Han family murders which took place in 2016. According to court documents Pierre Haobsh would murder Dr. Henry Han, his wife, Jennie, and their 5-year-old daughter, Emily. After the brutal murders Pierre Haobsh would wrap the bodies in plastic and leave the bodies in the garage. Pierre Haobsh was eligible for the death penalty however the use of capital punishment in California is basically on hold as the State has failed to execute anyone since 2006. Pierre Haobsh was sentenced to multiple life sentences and another 75 years on top of that so needless to say this monster will die in prison

Pierre Haobsh More News

Pierre Haobsh, the man found guilty of murdering the Han family in 2016, was sentenced in Santa Barbara Superior Court on Friday to three consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole, followed by 75 years to life in state prison, according to the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office.

“He has no possibility of ever being released,” Supervising Deputy District Attorney Ben Ladinig told News Channel 3-12. “He will literally die in prison.”

Ladinig explained that the three life sentences are for each of the murders that Haobsh, 32, committed in 2016 when he killed Dr. Henry Han, his wife, Jennie, and their 5-year-old daughter, Emily, in their Goleta Valley home, wrapping them in plastic and leaving them dead inside of the garage.

The 75 years to life in state prison that will follow the three life sentences were for gun use causing death, Ladinig said.

Haobsh filed a motion for a new trial, saying that his previous public defenders were ineffective and didn’t disclose all of the evidence, Ladinig said.

Judge Brian Hill also denied that motion on Friday, determining that Haobsh’s arguments for the new trial had no merit, according to Ladinig.

Haobsh was found guilty of the murder charges on Nov. 24, 2021, though his sentencing was delayed by a few months while Hill determined whether or not to dismiss Haobsh’s previous public defenders from the case.

Raul Cervera More News

Raul Cervera was just 15 years old when he was charged with capital murder after he was accused of shooting a former correctional officer during a robbery attempt in late 2018.

Defense attorneys spent the day describing Raul’s chaotic childhood, shaped by poverty, a neglectful mother, and her abusive boyfriends.

Prosecutors pointed out Raul’s five other siblings, raised under the same conditions who never killed anyone.

After sentencing, family members of the victim, 20-year-old Abram Garcia, had a chance to speak directly to the teen.

“They talk about you sitting in a cell. At least you’re alive. You get to breathe; you get to be alive. He doesn’t get that because you took that from him,” said one family member.

“Because to me, 30 years is not enough. Because my grandson’s life was worth more than that. But that man upstairs is going to make sure that you have a hard life,” the victim’s grandmother added.

“And though I pray to god every single day of every second of my life, I pray to him. ‘God please, I will do anything. I will give anything. Please. Give me my son back.’ and he can’t,” the mother said.

Under the terms of the plea deal, 30 years was the maximum sentence the judge could give Cervera.
