n Oktibbeha County teenager was arrested Friday in connection with her mother’s murder.
Lydia Za’nay Flowers, 13, is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder in the shooting death of 48-year-old Lou Ann Jones.
Deputies on Thursday arrested Nathaniel Jamar Davis, 23, of West Point, on the same charges.
Jones was found deceased in her home on A.W. Williams Road near Pheba at about 7 a.m. Tuesday. She had a gunshot wound to the back, and Watson said she had been dead “more than a little while.”
Flowers was last seen at the home about 9 a.m. Monday and was missing until authorities found her Wednesday afternoon.
Capt. Brett Watson, with the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office investigations unit, said he believes Davis and Flowers left together Monday morning. He did not release further details of the case Friday, including which suspect investigators believe was the shooter.

The 13-year-old daughter of an Oktibbeha County woman has been charged in her death.
Lydia Flowers was charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and accessory after the fact to attempted murder.
Her bond was $1.2 million.
These are the same charges filed Thursday against 23-year-old Nathaniel Davis of West Point.
Davis remains in the Oktibbeha County jail.
The charges for Flowers and Davis stemmed from the shooting death of Flowers’ mother, 48-year-old Lou Anda Jones.
She was found dead in her A.W. Williams Road home earlier this week.
We were told Jones was shot in the back.
Investigators said the case was still under investigation.

Oktibbeha County investigators have charged a 13-year-old girl in connection with the death of her mother.
Lydia Flowers — who is being charged as an adult — faces first degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and attempted murder charges. She received a $1.2 million bond.
Her mother Lou Ann Jones was found dead on Tuesday, Dec. 5 inside her home on A.W. Williams Drive.
The teenager disappeared following her mother’s death but was eventually located.
The Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office has released no more details about Jones’ death.
Flowers is the second arrest made in the case.
Nathaniel Davis, 23, of West Point, faces first degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and accessory after the fact to attempted murder charges. He also received a $1.2 million bond.
As to how the two suspects know each other is unknown at this time.
