Myeisha Brown Teen Killer Found Dead In Prison

Myeisha Brown

Myeisha Brown was a teen killer from Tennessee who would murder a 74 year old man when she was just 16 years old. According to court documents 74 year old Ruxin Wang was taking out the garbage in the middle of the afternoon when he was fatally shot. Myeisha Brown would ultimately be sentenced to fifteen years in prison for the Ruxin Wang murder. However Myeisha Brown’s story would come to an end on March 19, 2022 when she was found dead inside of her cell at the Debra K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center in Tennessee. Prison officials are currently undergoing a sudden death investigation to find out how the twenty one year old woman died.

Myeisha Brown Other News

A death investigation is underway after a female inmate who pleaded guilty to the murder of a 74-year-old South Nashville man died in prison.

According to the Tennessee Department of Correction, 21-year-old Myeisha Brown was found dead in her cell Saturday at the Debra K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center, formerly the Tennessee Prison for Women.

Brown shot and killed Ruxin Wang, a 74-year-old man who was shot while collecting trash outside of his South Nashville home on Claiborne Street in November of 2017

In January of 2018, Metro police charged Brown, who was 16 at the time, with criminal homicide for the shooting death of Ruxin Wang.

Shortly, after her arrest, Brown posted bond after funds raised through a crowdfunding website advocated for her release. However, in 2019 the teen was arrested again on new charges and placed on house arrest for theft of a vehicle and drug offense charges.

Investigators said Wang was taking care of his wife when he was shot multiple times while taking out the trash. Yongling Zhai and Ruxin were married nearly 50 years.

Yun Wang has fond memories with his father. He never missed a court date and remembers the first time he came face to face with his father’s killer.

“There is no remorse. There is no regret. There’s no sadness,” Wang said.

Brown was serving a 15-year sentence and was 16 at the time of the killing. No additional information was immediately released.

Bridgett Forehand is a fourteen year old alleged teen killer who has been charged in a brutal murder. According to police documents Bridgett Forehand had just met the victim who she met through mutual friends however very quickly Bridgett would pull out a gun, put it to his forehead and pulled the trigger. The body of Mickell Gordon, 19, was found on the side of the road and soon after Bridgett Forehand was in custody. Now the alleged teen killer is facing murder charges inside of a Mississippi courtroom. According to her Grandfather Bridgett Forehand was struggling with her mental health and it is believed she stole the gun the day before. Bridgett Forehand is now scheduled to go on trial this week where she is facing a second degree murder charge

Bridgett Forehand More News

14-year-old girl is behind bars after being charged in the shooting death of a 19-year-old man.

The teenager, who has since been identified as Bridgett Forehand, was initially charged with manslaughter but those charges were upgraded Thursday to second-degree murder.

During Forehand’s arraignment, the public defender told the judge that the 14-year-old’s grandfather was recently awarded custody of her and that the teenager has mental health issues. The lawyer told County Court Judge Mark Watts that they are trying to see a psychiatrist to get her on medication. Currently, she is not on any medication.

Judge Watts set bail at $100,000 and said he would consider lowering the bond if she sees a psychiatrist.

Few details have been released by authorities about what happened in the early morning hours of Wednesday, but a witness who was there has come forward to tell his side of the story.

The 19-year-old male, who does not wish to be identified publicly, sat down with WLOX on Wednesday afternoon to talk about what happened to his friend Mickell Gordon.

According to the witness, Mickell was staying the night at his house in Jackson County near the St. Andrews community. Text messages exchanged between the two earlier in the night show them talking about playing video games at the witness’ house. After doing that, they invited a 19-year-old female friend of Mikell’s over, said the witness.

She showed up with Bridgett Forehand, who the witness said told them she was 17. It wasn’t until after the shooting and her arrest that the witness said he found out she was actually 14.

“(Mickell and the 19-year-old female) were friends and we invited her over to hang out. I didn’t know either of the girls. (Mickell) just knew (the 19-year-old female)… He didn’t know (the suspect) either,” said the witness.

Video from the home of the witness shows the two girls arriving at the house in Jackson County near St. Andrews at 11:33 p.m.

Subsequent video taken from the home’s doorbell camera shows the four teenagers hanging out on his porch and in the front yard for a few minutes, before all four teens leave the home at 11:40 p.m.

According to the witness, they were just walking around the neighborhood because they couldn’t hang out inside his house since his family was sleeping so they stayed outside.. After walking to a nearby park and a store, the witness said they headed back to his house to get warmer clothing for the girls because they were cold.

It was around this time that things took a downward spiral.

“That’s when she pulled out the gun, and I was just trying to come up with an excuse to get them to leave. They knew somebody down the street so I told them we could walk to his house,” said the witness, adding that he wanted to get the weapon away from his family.

Then, while walking down the street, the suspect began behaving out of the norm and laid on the ground, he said.

“[The 19-year-old female] was trying to calm her down. That’s when (the suspect) got the gun from her backpack and started waving it around, pointing it at us… She said she stole it the day before but she didn’t tell us where she stole it from,” recounted the witness.

According to him, there was no confrontation prior to the shooting between Forehand and anyone else.

“No, none at all,” said the witness when asked if the suspect had a reason to be upset. “We were just trying to get them to go away nicely – or I was – and she was just going crazy. I don’t know why. She started waving (the gun) around. I turned around and started walking away, and I saw the gunshot out of the corner of my eye.”

“She didn’t even know him,” added the witness’ mother. “When she was arrested in the police car, she kept yelling, ‘Is Marcus okay?’ She didn’t even know his name.”

After the gun was fired, the witness said he realized that his friend had been shot in the forehead.

“We were kind of shocked and kind of sat there for a second, and then I pulled out my phone and she ran up to me and begged me not to call the cops. I said ‘okay, okay’ because she was still waving the gun around. Then I was like, ‘get away from me, get away from me’ and I took off running and went and checked on Kell and realized he was dead. That’s when I ran back towards my house and called (my mom) and went back to where Kell was, and we saw (the two girls) running down the street towards my house.”

As soon as she got the call from her son, the witness’ mom said she and her husband rushed a few doors down to the corner of Spruce and Center streets, where the shooting happened. Doorbell video shows the frantic parents running out of the house at 2:08 a.m.

The mother called 911 and she, her husband, and their son – the witness – waited for help to arrive. The first deputy arrived on scene at 2:11 a.m.

During that time, the mother said she realized that the two girls had ran off so she called her 15-year-old daughter, who was alone at the family’s home, and told her to hide in the bathroom and lock the door because the armed suspect was running towards their house.

The 15-year-old sister of the witness told WLOX she was locked in the bathroom when she heard Forehand and the 19-year-old female come in the house through the backdoor.

In the meantime, more law enforcement officers were responding to the shooting and can be heard on the police scanner calling backup to help search the area for the suspect.

At 2:28 a.m., a deputy can be heard telling dispatch that the suspect was in custody. According to the witness and his mother, the 14-year-old girl was arrested in their backyard.

Bridgett Forehand was initially charged with manslaughter but those charges were upgraded Thursday when she appeared in court. She is now charged with second degree murder. Her bond is set at $100,000.

Candace Walton More News

It’s been almost two years since a Monroe County mother and son died in a house fire.

At a Wednesday morning hearing, the suspect – now 18-year-old Candace Walton – pleaded guilty to all counts in the case. That included charges of malice murder and felony murder for each victim, theft by taking, and first-degree arson.

Walton was then sentenced to life with the possibility of parole. The other suspect in the case, Walton’s boyfriend, is expected to be tried later this year.

Emergency units responded to a house fire at Walton’s home on Old Zebulon Road in the early morning hours of Feb. 27, 2020.

By the time crews got to the fire, the home was fully engulfed and two bodies were found inside shortly after.

One of the victims was identified as Walton’s 21-year-old brother with special needs, Gerald Walton, and the other was her mother, Tasha Vandiver.

Candace was found later that afternoon in McCracken County, Kentucky, when US Marshals pulled her over in her mother’s stolen Chevy Malibu. She was initially believed to be the female victim in the fire until she was arrested.

One of Gerald’s former teachers at Mary Persons said he was kind to everyone he met.

“He just loved life. He would never say anything negative…just to be around him, he was just happy all the time, and I think that is probably what we need to take away from that. Love one another no matter what,” Ellen Criswell told 13WMAZ.

Days later, Candace’s boyfriend in Oregon was named a person of interest (they met when he briefly lived in Monroe County). District Attorney Jonathan Adams said it appeared she was on her way to him when she was arrested.

“There was a tax rebate that was cashed by the mom that was stolen, we believe by Candace, and she stole mom’s car, the cash rebate, and was driving to Oregon to visit the boyfriend essentially to start over a new life,” said Adams.

At the time, Adams said even if Walton was convicted, then she wouldn’t be eligible for the death penalty because of her age.

Her boyfriend, Kaleo Pangelinan, was arrested in mid-May 2020 in Roseburg, Oregon.

In a 2021 #13Investigates story, Adams told 13WMAZ that he believed Vandiver was trying to save Candace when she died in the fire.

“The sad story is we believe the mother was trying to save Candace. She was going into her bedroom to try to alert her about the fire. We know the brother was at the door of his bedroom, trying to get out,” Adams said.

Their next-door neighbor, Bassema Dawoud, said Vandiver was protective of her kids.

“All she wanted was the best for her children with what little she had,” said Dawoud.

Pauline Parker and Juliet Hulme Teen Killers Heavenly Creatures

Pauline Parker and Juliet Hulme

Pauline Parker and Juliet Hulme were two teen killers who would shock New Zealand back in 1954 when they would murder Honorah Rieper who was the mother of Pauline. According to court documents Pauline Parker and Juliet Hulme would go for a walk with Honorah Rieper which would end with the two teen girls would beat the woman to death with part of a brick that was swung inside of a stock. Following the murder the two teen killers would return to a tea room where the three had lunch earlier and told the owners that Honorah Rieper had fallen and cut her face. Needless to say the story fell apart with the discovery of the body and Pauline Parker and Juliet Hulme would be arrested. After a trial the two teen killers would spend the next five years in prison. Pauline Parker was given a new name once she was released from prison, now known as Hilary Nathan the young woman would move to England where she would run a riding camp for children. Juliet Hulme would also move to England where she would be now known as Anne Perry who had a career as a successful writer. It was not known until forty years after the murder that the writer Anne Perry was once known as the murderer Juliet Hulme

Pauline Parker and Juliet Hulme More News

This month marks 65 years since two distressed and blood-covered teenage girls ran out of a wooded area in Christchurch’s Victoria Park, crying for help. The couple who owned the tea kiosk in the park recognised them; they’d left the tearooms just a few minutes earlier after eating there with an older woman. One of the girls wailed, “Please help us, Mummy is hurt, covered in blood,” so Agnes Ritchie took them inside the kiosk while her husband Kenneth, thinking the woman had suffered a fall, headed off down the path they’d just come from, to see if there was anything he could do.A few minutes later and about 130 metres down the path, he found the battered body of Honorah Rieper (45). Her severe injuries suggested that this was no accident. The police were called and they discovered half a brick in a bloodied stocking thrown under some nearby trees. So began the investigation into a case that has gone down as one of the most intriguing in New Zealand’s criminal history and that is still a subject of fascination all these years later.

Known as the Parker-Hulme murder, the case shocked the nation because perpetrators Pauline Parker and Juliet Hulme were teenage girls, and the victim was Pauline’s mother. It was June 1954 and this kind of thing just didn’t happen in New Zealand.”The city of Christchurch is reeling,” wrote a commentator. “Teenage girls don’t go around murdering their mothers.”Honorah’s daughter Pauline Parker(16) was the first one taken away for questioning (at the time, both mother and daughter used the surname Rieper, but when it was realised that Honorah wasn’t married to her partner, Herbert Rieper, the courts used the legal surname of Parker for both the victim and the accused).A search of her home uncovered her diaries, in which Pauline had written about the “moider” she and Juliet (15) planned to commit. The entry for June 22, the day Honorah died, was headed, “The Day of the Happy Event”.Juliet was also arrested and charged with murder, and the subsequent trial was followed with bated breath by all New Zealanders.

It emerged the two girls had become close friends two-and-a-half years earlier when they met at Christchurch Girls’ High School.Their friendship initially seemed to be an unlikely one as they were from completely different backgrounds. British-born Juliet had emigrated to Christchurch from the UK when her father, physicist Dr Henry Hulme, landed a job as the rector of Canterbury University. She lived with her family in a rather grand home.Meanwhile, Pauline’s working-class, inner-city home doubled as a boarding house run by her mother Honorah, while her father worked in a fish shop. But class didn’t matter to the girls, who were both highly intelligent, and bonded over their love of books and their health problems. Pauline Parker had suffered from osteomyelitis, a painful bone infection, as a child; Juliet had a history of tuberculosis and had been sent at various times from the UK to the Bahamas and South Africa to recuperate in warmer weather. Both had lively imaginations and created a fantasy world that they went from writing about to acting out. They took on new names – Pauline was Gina, Juliet was Deborah – and were fascinated with a religion they dreamed up in which they worshipped “saints” based on celebrities such as opera singer Mario Lanza.Eventually, their obsession with this fantasy world became so all-encompassing that their parents met to discuss how to break up their intense friendship.A doctor they consulted said he believed the girls had a sexual relationship, something Juliet would later deny. Then came an opportunity to separate the two. Henry Hulme discovered his wife, Hilda, had been having an affair, and they decided to end the marriage. He planned to move to South Africa with Juliet and her brother Jonathan.Pauline Parker wanted to go with them, but was convinced her mother wouldn’t let her. So a plot was hatched to get rid of the obstacle who would no doubt prevent the two girls from being together: Honorah

At the trial in August 1954, Pauline’s diary was produced as evidence that her mother’s death was planned in advance. She had written about their intention to kill Honorah and make it look like an accident. She said Juliet was “worried but does not disagree violently”.On June 19, she wrote about the carefully worked-out plan, adding that they were “thrilled by the idea. Naturally we feel a trifle nervous but the pleasure of anticipation is great.”This was followed on June 21 by, “We decided to use a rock in a stocking, rather than a sandbag. We discussed the moider. I feel keyed up, as if I were planning a surprise party.”Honorah died the next day, suffering more than 20 blows to the head. Both girls eventually made full confessions, admitting that they had both battered Honorah with the brick.Their lawyers tried to say they were guilty by reason of insanity, and had no idea that what they did was wrong. Defence psychiatrists claimed the pair were delusional “due to homosexuality”. Thanks to claims such as these, the trial was a sensational affair. The defence alleged the pair were mad, while the prosecution described them as “dirty-minded girls”. They were found guilty and ended up spending five years each in prison – Pauline in Christchurch and Juliet in Auckland.

When she was released from prison, Juliet went back to England where she held down a variety of jobs. She also became a member of the Mormon Church and lived in America for a while. The public had no idea what had become of her until the 1994 release of Sir Peter Jackson’s film about the murder, Heavenly Creatures, inspired Kiwi journalist Lin Ferguson to track Juliet down.Hearing she’d changed her name and become a novelist, Lin checked the birth dates of writers until she found a match with a Scottish-based writer called Anne Perry. Not only did Anne turn out to be Juliet Hulme, but she was a very successful writer of crime books, with more than 20 million copies of her 100-plus novels and novellas in print. The fact a teenage killer was now making a living writing about murder became a huge story worldwide.Anne admitted to her past and has spoken to journalists, documentary makers and a biographer since, saying that she believed Pauline would have killed herself if she didn’t go along with the plan.Plus she felt she owed Pauline, who had written to her every single day when she was sent to a sanatorium for three months thanks to her tuberculosis.”The letters were a lifeline and I felt when she needed a lifeline, I owed her,” she told the Listener. She said she had made peace with what she did.”A long time ago, yes. Admit you’re wrong, say you’re sorry and then move on from there.”

Pauline’s whereabouts remained unknown for another two years, when journalist Chris Cooke located her also residing in the UK. She was living a reclusive life in a quiet village in Kent, teaching children to ride horses. She had changed her name to Hilary Nathan.Hilary didn’t want to talk about her past, but older sister Wendy explained that she was deeply religious and led a very solitary life.”She doesn’t have any contact with the outside world,” she said in a New Zealand Woman’s Weekly story.”She is a devout Roman Catholic and spends much of her time in prayer. She hasn’t got a TV or radio, so would never have heard what Anne Perry had to say and wouldn’t care.”Wendy revealed that Hilary told her their mother’s death was a situation that “got out of hand. She said it was something that grew and grew out of all proportion. After it happened, she was very sorry about it. It took her about five years to realise what she had done.”Hilary (now 81) later moved to Scotland, setting up home in the remote Orkney Islands. She has apparently had no contact with Anne (80), who now spends much of her time in Los Angeles, working on getting some of her books made into films. One book she won’t be writing is her autobiography. Although she did talk to biographer Joanne Drayton for the book The Search for Anne Perry, she has no desire to write her story herself, according to an interview she gave after her identity was revealed.”I don’t think I have the right to write about other people’s lives. I’m so tired of it anyway. I wish it would go away.”

Anna Bella Dukes Teen Killer Allegedly Set Up Car Jacking Murder

Anna Bella Dukes

Anna Bella Dukes is an eighteen year old alleged teen killer who set up a meeting over Snapchat that led to murder. According to police reports Anna Bella Dukes set up a meeting with the victims brother at a remote location in the early hours. When the victim showed up with his brother the pair would be robbed and Elias Otero would be fatally shot by seventeen year old Adrian Avila. Now Anna Bella Dukes and Adrian Avila have been arrested and charged with first degree murder and armed robbery. Below is the police report of the murder:

“The suspects dragged the victim from his red Lexus and demanded cash, jewelry and a gun from him. They entered the Lexus and another vehicle, holding the victim at gunpoint and drove to the victim’s residence. The carjacking suspects ordered the victim to call his brother and have him bring money and a gun outside, or they would shoot and kill the victim.

When they arrived at the victim’s home on Timothy Ct. S.W., the victim’s brother, later identified as Elias Otero, came out of the house and threatened to shoot the suspects. At some point, Avila fired a gun at Otero, killing him in the street.

The original carjacking victim jumped out of the vehicle as the suspects fled the scene.”

Anna Bella Dukes More News

An Albuquerque teen pleaded not guilty Friday morning to kidnapping and murder. Police say 18-year-old Anna Bella Dukes lured a man into a robbery through social media last year.

APD believes Dukes, along with Adrian Avila and two other suspects held the victim at gunpoint demanding cash, jewelry, and a gun. They allegedly drove to his home and when they arrived, his brother, 24-year-old Elias Otero, came out of the house and threatened to shoot the suspects.

Police say Avila then show and killed Otero. Prosecutors are now asking a judge to keep her locked up until trial, saying Dukes went on the run for nearly a year before she was arrested. A different judge will have to make that determination.
