Arlene Bell is an alleged killer from Minnesota who has been charged with the murder of Gary Lehmeyer

According to court documents 32 year old Arlene Bell was living with 76 year old Gary Lehmeyer who was suffering from Parkinson dementia for the last ten years.

Arlene Bell would be pulled over as the officer believed she was under the influence. Police would find drugs in the vehicle and took her into custody where they would soon learn she was wanted for murder in Minnesota

Prosecutors in Minnesota on Friday accused a woman of stabbing and strangling her 76-year-old roommate who had Parkinson’s dementia, then bounding his ankles and wrapping his body in blankets and a heated mattress pad

Arlene Theresa Bell, 32, is charged with second-degree murder, the Rice County Attorney’s Office said in a press release. Police in Faribault, a city about 50 miles south of Minneapolis, found the body of Gary Lehmeyer while conducting a welfare check at his home on Feb. 5. Cops noticed his van was missing and later learned it was already in possession of law enforcement.

Around 11:30 a.m. Feb. 5, an Iowa State Patrol trooper pulled over Lehmeyer’s vehicle west of Des Moines with Bell driving it, authorities said. Troopers said she looked as if she were under the influence of drugs. They found drugs in the van and she told them she was driving to the Mexico border, according to troopers. She also reportedly said she was coming down from a meth high from a couple days earlier. Troopers took her into custody on the drug charges and Rice County prosecutors later added a motor vehicle theft charge.

Bell later told detectives she was home with Lehmeyer when she heard something hit the floor in his bedroom. When she went to see what happened, she claimed she saw “red bullets” at Lehmeyer’s feet.

“Though Bell admitted that she didn’t see any guns, she said she was scared, that Lehmeyer wouldn’t let her leave the room and that the two began a very physical fight, despite Lehmeyer being physically disabled and diagnosed more than a decade ago with Parkinson’s dementia,” the press release said.

Prosecutors said Bell admitted to stabbing Lehmeyer repeatedly and used a knife to “saw at his wrists.” Bell also told investigators that Lehmeyer threw a dehumidifier at her and began choking her with its cord. She said she cut the cord to free herself.

She watched as he began “bleeding profusely” and spit blood at her, prosecutors say. Bell then bound his feet together with the dehumidifier cord and wrapped his body because she was afraid he would “regain consciousness and kill her.” She said she then took a shower to wash off all the blood on her before driving away in Lehmeyer’s van.

An autopsy determined Lehmeyer died of ligature strangulation and multiple sharp force injuries, local Fox affiliate KMSP reported.

Arlene Bell previously has been arrested for making terroristic threats, burglary and harassment. She remains at the Dallas County Jail awaiting extradition back to Minnesota on the murder charges. A grand jury could indict her for first-degree murder at a later time

Police would arrest Jose Ibarra who is an illegal alien from Venezuela who had been living in Georgia since crossing in El Paso Texas in 2022

Jose Ibarra News

University of Georgia police have arrested a man in the murder of Laken Riley.

Jose Antonio Ibarra, 26, who is not a U.S. citizen, but lives in the Athens area, was booked into the Clarke County Jail Friday evening.

Ibarra faces charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping, hindering a 911 call, and concealing the death of another.

The announcement came during a press conference Friday evening along with a few other details about what police are calling a “crime of opportunity.”

Laken Riley did not know her attacker, police say

University of Georgia Police Chief Jeff Clark says they are still trying to determine the motive behind the brutal murder of 22-year-old Laken Riley, whose body was discovered in the forested area behind Lake Herrick, after she failed to return from a run along a path near the Intramural Fields.

Investigators revealed on Friday evening that Riley died from blunt force trauma.

Police say they were able to link Ibarra to the murder through use of the campus security camera network and several witnesses. The chief also said other technology was also used, but did not elaborate.
Search warrant in murder of Laken Riley

Earlier in the day, three people were taken into custody and questioned, but only Jose Ibarra was arrested for Riley’s murder.

At the same time, a mobile command center at the Argo Apartments off Milledge Avenue near Lake Herrick and UGA was set up. Investigators were seen combing through an apartment and even the trash.

UGA police confirmed investigators are still searching the apartment, but say already, the evidence pointing to Ibarra is “robust.”

Jose Ibarra’s criminal history

Few details about Ibarra were released during Friday’s press conference. Chief Clark said there was no clear history of violence for the 26-year-old murder suspect and his criminal history is not extensive.

Ibarra is not a U.S. citizen, but his status in the country could not be immediately verified. Investigators say he came from Venezuela but did not offer his current immigration status in the U.S.

Chief Clark said evidence found at the apartment appears to show Ibarra acted alone.

The chief called this a “very isolated incident,” adding that this is the first homicide at UGA in at least 30 years.

It is not clear when Ibarra will be making his first appearance on those murder charges.

Anyone with information about the incident should call the UGA Police Department at 706-542-2200.
Jose Ibarra’s brother arrested for having fake green card

Diego Ibarra, 29, of Venezuela, was one of the men questions in the death of Laken Riley on Friday, the Department of Justice revealed.

He is the older brother of Jose Ibarra.

The United States Attorney’s Office Middle District of Georgia revealed the charges late Friday evening and said he will be prosecuted federally.

The elder Ibarra has a series of arrests in Athens, according to the DOJ.

The man arrested for the torture and murder of an aspiring Los Angeles model made his first court appearance Thursday, where he pleaded not guilty.

Magnus Daniel Humphrey, 41, Hopkins, Minnesota, was arrested on an “unrelated federal warrant” before he was extradited to L.A. and charged in the death of Maleesa Mooney.

Beaumont Lamarre-Condon News

A police officer in Australia was charged with murder Friday in the deaths of his former boyfriend and his new partner, who have been missing for days and whose bodies have yet to be found.

The New South Wales Police Force said in a statement that a 28-year-old senior constable was arrested after he presented himself at a police station in the Sydney suburb of Bondi.

As is customary, the force did not name the officer, but he was identified by local media as Beau Lamarre. A first-appearance hearing was scheduled at the Waverley Local Court Friday for a Beaumont Lamarre-Condon, according to online records.

Lamarre-Condon is accused of killing Jesse Baird, 26, a former TV presenter whom he is said to have dated until recently, and his partner Luke Davies, 29, who according to his LinkedIn account was a flight attendant for the Australian airline Qantas

Items belonging to the two men that had blood on them were found in a dumpster Wednesday in the Sydney suburb of Cronulla, police said in an earlier statement.

Officers then went to Baird’s home in the Paddington area of Sydney, where there was “a large amount of blood,” detective superintendent Daniel Doherty said at a news conference Friday.

They also found a single bullet that was ballistically matched to a New South Wales police firearm belonging to the charged officer.

The gun, which was found in a police station gun safe, has been seized and will be forensically examined, Doherty said.

Investigators believe the two men were killed in Baird’s home, but they do not yet know the exact cause of death, Doherty said. He declined to comment on a possible motive but said police would investigate whether it was a “domestic-style incident.”

Doherty also appealed to the public for information on the movements of a white van that police believe was used to transport and dispose of the bodies. The van, which was rented Monday night, is also being forensically examined after being found Friday morning in Grays Point, a suburb to the south of Sydney.

“It’s really important we get the movements in relation to that van, as hopefully we can find the bodies and this is important for the family,” he said.

Beaumont Lamarre-Condon was a former celebrity blogger who joined the New South Wales police in 2020, Australian media reported. Local news outlets published photos from his now-deleted Instagram account of Lamarre-Condon posing with multiple celebrities including Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Lady Gaga and the New Zealand singer Lorde.

Doherty said police had not received any previous reports of unusual behavior by the officer.

Don McDougal News

The Texas career criminal arrested in connection with the disappearance of Audrii Cunningham has been charged with capital murder after the 11-year-old girl was found dead Tuesday.

Polk County Jail records show Don Steven McDougal, 42, has officially been charged with murder of a person between the ages of 10 and 15, nearly a week after Audrii missed her school bus on Feb. 15.

Officials located the 11-year-old’s body in the Trinity River near the US Highway 59 bridge in Livingston, Polk County Sheriff Byron Lyons confirmed during a Tuesday press conference.

“We will continue to process the evidence that has been gathered to ensure that there is justice for Audrii,” Lyons said.

McDougal, a family friend who lived in a trailer behind Audrii’s residence in Livingston, was initially apprehended on Feb. 16 on an unrelated charge of aggravated assault.

He has been accused of dozens of crimes dating back to the early 2000s and was convicted on two child enticement charges in 2008.

“He was probably taking her to…the bus stop, and we do feel that he was the last person to see Audrii,” Lyons said of McDougal during a Monday press conference, adding that there were “some occasions” when McDougal would take Audrii to the bus stop or even to school if she missed the bus.

Audrii’s mother, Cassie Matthews, told FOX 26 Houston that she believed McDougal would babysit the 11-year-old girl while he was staying at her father’s home.

McDougal was being held in jail on an unrelated charge.

The last time Audrii was seen was Thursday at 6:45 a.m. Investigators learned she never got on the school bus that morning and she wasn’t at school all day. She was reported missing when she didn’t get off the school bus that afternoon.

Authorities said Don McDougal was friends with the family and had taken Audrii to the bus stop and school before.

An AMBER Alert was issued.

Search efforts were initially focused on a southern area of Lake Livingston.

Over the weekend, Texas EquuSearch was seen looking for her in an area near I-69 and the Trinity River.

In the last few days, investigators narrowed their search to the area near the Trinity River Bridge. Ultimately, that’s where her body was found.

According to Lt. Craig Cummings with the Texas Department of Public Safety, McDougal was friends with the family and lived in a camper behind the home where Audrii lived with several of her family members

Records show that Don McDougal served two years in prison in Huntsville between September 2020 and September 2022.

During the search for Audrii, Don McDougal was taken into custody on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.

In a news conference on Monday, Lyons said Don McDougal was likely the last person to see Audrii alive. Lyons also said McDougal admitted to leaving the house with her.

Before Audrii’s body was found, Don McDougal was identified by authorities as the “main person of interest.” They said he answered questions and even told investigators where he visited on the day of Audrii’s disappearance.
