he boyfriend of the 24-year-old woman who was found dead in a Canton park faced a judge Friday morning, according to the office of the Stark County Clerk of Courts.

Sean Goe, 26, was arraigned on several separate charges Friday morning including, a felony burglary charge, a felony grand theft charge, two misdemeanor criminal damaging charges and a misdemeanor domestic violence charge from this year.

None of the charges address the suspected murder of his girlfriend, 24-year-old Raychel Sheridan, who’s body was found wrapped in plastic in a trash can Wednesday morning.

Goe is currently being held in Stark County County Jail on a $500,000 bond for a criminal damaging charge and domestic violence charge from May.

However, in a press conference, Stark County Sheriff George T. Maier said Sheridan is believed to have been murdered by her live-in boyfriend, Goe.

tark County Sheriff deputies were called out to Sheridan and Goe’s apartment in the 4100 block of Orchard Dale Drive NW around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday after Sheridan’s mother requested a welfare check.

Sheriff Maier said the apartment’s door was open and nobody was inside, but since the scene was “suspicious”, deputies requested a search warrant.

While waiting for the search warrant, deputies said they saw a maroon Jeep Liberty, believed to be registered to Sheridan, traveling on Guilford Ave NW.

The driver, identified as Goe, fled on foot into a dense, wooded area after being stopped, deputies said.

After searching for several hours, Goe was arrested early Wednesday morning and is being held at the Stark County Jail.

Sheriff Maier added the murder is believed to have happened in the couple’s apartment, but the cause of death is not known.

Deputies said Goe also has active warrants for burglary, grand theft of a firearm and domestic violence.

According to court documents, Goe allegedly stole a handgun from a North Canton residence in April and in May, physically threatened Sheridan and cut holes in her tires.

Goe was also arraigned on a seatbelt charge from 2023, for which he plead guilty to.

Sean Goe Charged With Murder

A man suspected in the death of his girlfriend, 27-year-old Raychel Sheridan, has now been formally charged with murder.

Sean J. Goe, 26, of Plain Township, faces felony counts of murder, gross abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence, as well as a misdemeanor count of domestic violence according to a news release from the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheridan was reported missing on Tuesday, after sheriff’s deputies went to her Orchard Dale Drive Northwest apartment for a welfare check. Inside they found evidence of foul play, authorities previously said.

Deputies found Sheridan’s live-in boyfriend, Goe, driving her SUV on Guilford Avenue Northwest and pulled him over, according to the release. Goe then fled on foot.

State and local authorities launched “extensive search efforts” by ground and air and finally arrested Goe in the early hours of Wednesday, July 3, at a homeless shelter, according to the release.

After police executed a search warrant at Sheridan’s home and interviewed Goe, they determined he murdered her inside the apartment.

City sanitation workers found her body in a park on the city’s southwest side later that morning.

Goe is now jailed on a $1 million bond, and is due for arraignment on Tuesday, July 9, according to court records.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on the investigation is asked to call deputies at 330-430-3800, or use the sheriff’s office’s mobile app, found on any smartphone’s app store by searching “Stark Sheriff Ohio.”

LaShanda Wilder Murders 8 Yr Old Son

LaShanda Wilder
LaShanda Wilder

LaShanda Wilder is an alleged killer from Ohio who has been charged with the murder of her eight year old son

According to police reports eight year old Martonio Wilder was reporting missing after his mother, LaShanda Wilder told a relative the little boy had run away. After an AMBER alert was issue and an intense search took place for Martonio Wilder police began to get suspicious on the way LaShanda was behaving.

Police in Columbus Ohio would issue a search warrant at LaShanda Wilder residence and in the attic would find the body of the eight year old with a deep slash to his neck and wrapped up in a trash bag

LaShanda Wilder would be arrested and charged with murder

LaShanda Wilder News

Martonio Wilder’s favorite phrase was, “I love you.”

That’s what the 8-year-old’s family said Monday after a court appearance for Martonio’s mother, Lashanda Wilder, who is accused of killing the 8-year-old.

“I’m not sure I want to know the truth,” Wilder’s aunt Rachelle Knight said.

Martonio’s body was found Friday evening in the attic of a home in the 1000 block of Olmstead Avenue. An autopsy revealed he died from “deep neck compressions,” and court records say his body was found in a trash bag inside another container.

Franklin County Family Services also confirmed Monday that it has been working with Wilder and her family for at least two years.

Wilder, 32, and her partner, Johnna Lowe, 33, had called Columbus police on Friday morning to report Martonio missing. They said they had not seen the 8-year-old since the night before. Wilder is accused of killing the 8-year-old and hiding his body in the attic, while Lowe is charged with obstructing justice.

Wilder did not appear at the video hearing from the jail because the Franklin County sheriff’s office, which operates the jail, said she was “unruly.” A public defender waived Wilder’s appearance at the hearing, and Judge Gina Russo ordered her held on a $2 million bond in her absence.

Russo ordered Lowe held in jail on a $500,000 bond.

Columbus police received a call Friday afternoon from Wilder that her 8-year-old son, Martonio, was missing and had not been seen since the previous night, according to court records.

Officers began searching, using tools including drones and a helicopter, in an effort to find Martonio. Eventually, investigators brought in a cadaver dog trained to detect scents of human decomposition to aid in the search, court records say.

Police said Wilder became uncooperative, so they asked for permission to use the dog in the home. She and Lowe left the house along with two other children.

Police secured a search warrant, and a search of the home uncovered Martonio’s body in a trash bag and a “bivy cover” in the attic.

During the investigation, Wilder and Lowe did not return to the home and did not contact detectives or officers about their location.

Seia Glover, Martonio’s cousin, said the boy only wanted to be loved

“From the outside looking in, there’s a lot of questions about where his family was,” Glover said. “We were there, but we couldn’t be there all the time.”

Knight added that Franklin County Family services visited the home the day before the discovery of the boy’s remains in the attic, and Martonio wasn’t home.

Scott Varner, a spokesman for Franklin County Family Services, said he could not confirm Thursday’s visit, but said the agency and its caseworkers have been working with Wilder and her family since May 2022 providing services including case management, referral assistance and behavior health support through Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

The family members said they’ve learned things in the wake of Martonio’s death about how the children in the home were living, particularly Martonio.

“Some of the minor things that were red flags but didn’t really seem like they would lead to something like this of this magnitude, it caught us all off guard. She had support,” Glover said. “There’s no excuse for this boy to be dead. There’s no reason for him to be stuffed up in the attic like he didn’t matter.”

Glover spoke Monday about an incident she said occurred around Mother’s Day. She said she returned Wilder to the Olmstead Avenue home, and Martonio had jumped out a window. In retrospect, she wondered if he was trying to get away from something.

Knight said she continues to love Wilder, despite the “horrific mistake” she made, adding: “Her final judgment is never going to be here. It’s going to be with God.”

Police issued an Amber Alert was issued after detectives could not locate Wilder, Lowe or the other two children.

Those children, a 9-year-old and a 3-year-old, were found a short time later at the home of one of Lowe’s relatives.

Court records say Wilder and Lowe had their phones turned off.

Franklin County Family Services took custody of the two surviving children.

“We’ve been working with our partners in law enforcement and the courts to find the best temporary placement for the boys while this situation is investigated and resolved,” Varner said. “Their safety and well-being are our priority.”
How did Martonio Wilder die?

The Franklin County Coroner’s office performed an autopsy on Martonio.

Court records say the pathologist found “deep compression marks” on Martonio’s neck and ruled his death a homicide.

Wilder has been charged with murder.
Where were Lashanda Wilder and Johnna Lowe found?

Columbus police said that Wilder and Lowe surrendered to police around 5 p.m. Saturday.

Both were taken to the Franklin County jail. They are expected to have their first hearings on Monday where a bond will be set.

Pamela Maye Charged In Darnell Taylor Murder

pamela maye Darnell Taylor

Pamela Maye is a woman from Ohio who was the foster mother of Darnell Taylor. Darnell was reported missing and police would later find the five year old’s body and now Maye has been charged with his murder

According to police reports Pamela Maye would wake up her husband and told him that Darnell Taylor had been hurt. Maye would then leave the residence with the five year old and police were notified and a search began

Darnell Taylor body would be found in a sewage drain in Columbus Ohio after Pamela Maye would tell officers where they could find his body after she was arrested yesterday

Pamela Maye has been charged with murder, first-degree felony kidnapping and third-degree felony endangering children.

Pamela Maye News

A 5-year-old missing Ohio boy has been found dead, and his foster mother has been arrested and charged with his murder, the Columbus Division of Police announced at a Friday morning press conference.

Darnell Taylor had been missing since Wednesday, and police feared for his safety after his foster mother, Pammy Maye, 48, woke her husband up in their Columbus home to tell him the boy had been hurt. She then fled the scene in a Jeep Cherokee, and a statewide Amber Alert was issued for Taylor at around 5:10 a.m.

Taylor was found dead by police in a sewage drain in the 1000 block of Marsdale Avenue, in southwest Columbus, at around 1 a.m. Friday morning after Maye told the Columbus Division of Police about his whereabouts.

Police had arrested Maye in the Cleveland suburb of Brooklyn on Thursday at around 9:40 p.m. wearing a nightgown, and she was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Her vehicle had been found in the nearby Parkview Estates apartment complex. Brooklyn is about 150 miles from Columbus.

“We have reached a pivotal point in this investigation, we have some very unfortunate news to share,” Chief Elaine R. Bryant said at the press briefing.

“This is a tragic development….this is not the outcome that we wanted but we are going to make sure that we can do everything we can to bring justice for Darnell.”

Bryant said police could not provide details about the boy’s death, given the case is now a homicide investigation.

The jeep Maye was believed to be driving was found in the parking lot of a Brooklyn, Ohio, apartment complex a few hours after the Amber Alert was issued. The vehicle was about 150 miles from the home in Columbus where the situation first began.

Maye’s husband had called 911 shortly before 3 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to a court document seen by WCMH, Maye’s husband told a 911 operator that she killed the child, allegedly saying the boy was no longer alive and had not been seen since Monday or Tuesday.

The document said while he was on the phone with dispatchers, Maye tried to cover her husband’s mouth while telling him she had a plan, WCMH reports.

She then fled their Columbus house during the call.

Her husband also said in the call that she suffered from bipolar disorder, a mental illness that causes unusual shifts in a person’s mood, energy, activity levels, and concentration.

Pamela Maye was also charged with first-degree felony kidnapping and third-degree felony endangering children.

Pamela Maye Other News

An Ohio Amber Alert was activated statewide early Wednesday morning by the Columbus Police Department as authorities continue their search for a missing boy identified as 5-year-old Darnell Taylor — and police have confirmed the suspect’s vehicle was found near Cleveland.

Columbus police announced during a brief press conference early Friday morning that a body believed to be that of Darnell’s had been found.

“This is a tragic development and we certainly hoped for a different outcome,” said Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant.

The situation started shortly after 3 a.m. when officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Reeb Avenue in Columbus. Police say the caller stated that his wife — 48-year-old Pamela Maye — woke him up and made statements that made him believe Darnell, who is their foster child, had been hurt. Police report the caller also said that Maye abruptly left the residence in a 2015 Jeep Cherokee.

Columbus police gave an update on Thursday afternoon regarding the Amber Alert.

“Based on this investigation, we are going to continue to follow every lead we have,” Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant said. “We will continue to do so until we have located Darnell and Pam.”

During the press conference, officials urged the residents of Northeast Ohio, specifically those in Linndale, Brooklyn, and Cleveland, to contact (614) 645-2228 if they saw a 2015 Jeep Cherokee between 5-6 a.m. on Wednesday.

Officials also urged business owners in Northeast Ohio to contact police if the vehicle stopped at their business.

Records from Franklin County Municipal Court show a warrant has been issued for Pamela Maye’s arrest on charges of kidnapping and endangering children.

At the end of the press conference, Bryant urged Pamela Maye to contact the police.

“Pammy, if you’re watching this, can you please reach out and contact us? We need to know that Darnell is safe, and we need to know if you are safe. Reach out, contact us, let us know that you are okay,” said Bryant.

Also on Thursday, officials released the full 911 call from Maye’s husband. According to his recounting of events, Maye told him that “she killed out son.”

“She just woke me up and said, ‘He’s not here no more,'” the caller claimed. “I said, ‘What did you do to him?’ She said, ‘He’s not alive,’ and then when I tried to grab the phone to call you, she started fighting me.”

The caller also told authorities that Pamela Maye suffers from depression and bipolar disorder but has been taking medicine for it. At this time, officials have given every indication that they still believe Darnell is alive.

3News reached out to the Brooklyn Police Department for an update on its search for Pamela Maye and Taylor. Acting Police Chief Lieutenant Cindy Eschweiler says while the department has no new information, they have been working with the U.S. Marshals Service.

“Unfortunately, they’re (U.S. Marshals) still working on leads,” Eschweiler added.

The Ohio Amber Alert was issued with Columbus police saying Darnell was believed to have been abducted.

A short time later, another Amber Alert blast was sent out shortly before 6 a.m. that declared “last seen near Cleveland.” Columbus police told 3News they were alerted that the suspect’s vehicle could be in the Cleveland area after receiving a Flock hit (license plate readers) on the Jeep. Columbus police later confirmed it was found in Brooklyn, Ohio, shortly before 6 a.m.

Brooklyn police impounded the vehicle.

Although the vehicle was located, police say Darnell and Maye remain missing.

Darnell is described as having black hair and brown eyes. Police say it’s believed he may be wearing Spider-Man pajamas and white boots.

Pamela Maye is described as 4’9” tall, weighs 115 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She was reportedly last seen wearing a green floral nightgown with pink shoes.

When a reporter asked Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant if it’s believed the child is still alive, she offered this response: “We have no idea what we’re dealing with right now. That’s why we’re asking for the public’s assistance. Any information you can give us, we would greatly appreciate it.”

Anybody who has information or sees the child, suspect or vehicle is asked to call 911. Columbus police also have a tip line you can call at 614-645-2228. Residents in Columbus and Brooklyn are also being asked to “search their private property for anything that appears to be missing or is out of place.”

Kaitlyn Coones Case

An Ohio girl, 17, accused of killing her 33-year-old boyfriend’s mother with a rock in May, appeared in court for the first time Friday, according to local news.

Kaitlyn Coones allegedly killed Jonathan Jones’ 53-year-old mother, Nicole Jones, inside the woman’s Sylvania Township home — only after she gave him an ultimatum to do it himself, prosecutors revealed for the first time on Nov. 17.

“Kaitlyn had told Jonathan that they needed to do something about his mother because she was preventing them from being together,” Sylvania Township Detective Albright said of his interview with Coones, according to Cleveland 19.

Investigators believe the 17-year-old foster child had been living in Jonathan’s room in his mother’s house before the murder, Cleveland 19 reported.

Prosecutors said Coones would climb in through Jonathan’s bedroom window so that his mother would not know she was living in her house.

On the day of Nicole’s murder, Coones allegedly gave her boyfriend five hours to kill his mother himself. After five hours had passed, she gave him another hour before allegedly taking the crime into her own hands, ABC 13 reported.

While Nicole was looking in the refrigerator, the 17-year-old allegedly strangled her and bludgeoned her in the head with a rock while Jonathan was in the living room, prosecutors testified, according to ABC 13.

The suspects then allegedly purchased trash bags and a tarp, which they used to wrap Nicole’s body, and cleaned up the crime scene before traveling to a nearby apartment building, where they discarded the victim’s body in a dumpster. Investigators reportedly do not believe her body will ever be recovered, according to ABC 13.

Stark County Children’s Services had reported Coones missing from state custody in April.

After Nicole’s murder in May, local police named her son as a suspect in Coones’ disappearance. Law enforcement soon obtained information leading them to believe the pair fled to Mexico.

U.S. Marshals apprehended Jones in Mexico on May 8 and located Coones, who was later charged with aggravated murder, murder, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse, according to ABC 13.

Coones’ attorney, Ann Baronas, is reportedly arguing that Coones is Jonathan’s victim, the outlet reported.

Rebecca Auborn Other News

Columbus police and the Ohio Attorney General’s office on Oct. 25 announced an indictment against Rebecca Auborn, a 33-year-old woman authorities say is a serial killer.

Here’s what we know about the case.
Who is Rebecca Auborn?

Auborn, 33, is from the Northeast Side of Columbus. She had no significant criminal history until earlier this year when police say she began meeting men for sex and drugging them in order to rob them.

Records show Auborn has at least one child and had a daughter who died at 18 days old in November 2016.

Authorities allege that Auborn met men for sex at hotels around Columbus, drugging them and then robbing them. The men died from fatal overdoses in at least four of those meetings. A fifth person survived, the attorney general’s office said.

According to the indictment, the fatal overdoses occurred on Jan. 15, April 1, April 13 and June 17. The person who survived met Auborn on Dec. 13.

The meetings are believed to have taken place at hotels on the Northeast Side of Columbus in the areas of Interstate 71, State Route 161, Cleveland Avenue and East 17th Avenue.

In September, authorities charged Auborn in connection with the Jan. 15 case that resulted in the death of a 30-year-old man.

Court records from another case said Auborn admitted to detectives that she had mixed fentanyl in a man’s crack pipe after meeting him for sex. In that case, Auborn told detectives she knew the man was overdosing, but took his vehicle and debit card, according to court records.

In the indictment filed Wednesday, Rebecca Auborn is charged with four counts of murder and four counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the deaths. She also faces five counts of aggravated robbery, five counts of felonious assault, five counts of corrupting another with drugs, one count of tampering with evidence and four counts of trafficking in drugs.

All of the charges are felonies.

Should Auborn be convicted on all charges, she faces decades in prison.

How did the investigation start?

The Ohio Attorney General’s office said in a press release the investigation began because of a tip received by the Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force.

According to the AG’s office, that tip said a woman was meeting “johns” at hotels in Northeast Columbus and drugging them in order to steal their possession.

Police are continuing to investigate overdose deaths that occurred between December 2022 and August 2023 in the area bounded by Interstate 71, Route 161, Cleveland Avenue and East 17th Avenue.

What are police saying about the case?

Reached for comment Thursday morning, Columbus police said they are currently not providing interviews to any media outlets. However, authorities have asked that anyone with information to call a tip line at 614-645-2228.
What happens next in the case?

Rebecca Auborn will next appear in Franklin County Common Pleas Court for an arraignment, which is currently scheduled for Friday afternoon.

At that hearing, a judge will set bond in the case and Auborn is expected to enter a not guilty plea. The case will then have a trial date set.

Rebecca Auborn does not currently have a lawyer appointed to represent her, according to court records.
