Dylan Williams would be arrested and would later plead guilty to the murder and would receive a sixty year prison sentence

Two years after 13-year-old Lucia Bremer was killed during a walk home in Henrico’s West End, the now 16-year-old boy who confessed to her murder was sentenced to 60 years in prison.

Dylan Williams accepted a plea deal in the 2021 case in January and was facing a maximum 60-year prison sentence for first-degree murder, felony use of a firearm and attempted murder. Prosecutors dropped three additional charges because of the plea.

Judge Richard Wallerstein called the case a “tragedy of unspeakable proportions.”

The judge handed down his sentencing after reading 75 victim witness statements from the 13-year-old’s friends and family.

Lucia’s mother, father and two brothers were among those who spoke at the hearing. Her dad recalled watching his wife saying, ‘Baby girl, wake up’ over and over. He added that he didn’t understand that someone who commits a crime like this could one day walk free.

The girl’s best friend said she was walking with Lucia when the then 14-year-old Williams put a gun to her head in her family’s garage. The friend said she slapped the gun away and then ran inside. That is when Williams shot and killed Lucia.

The friend’s father said his daughter has survivor’s guilt.

The girl, who has been in counseling for the trauma, told the court “losing your best friend is the worst thing” before bursting into tears.

A neuropsychologist who conducted a neuropsych exam on Williams, told the judge the teen has antisocial personality disorder, also known as sociopathy.

Williams has a high risk to re-offend because there are no effective treatments for the disorder and he has low motivation to change, according to the neuropsychologist.

However, Williams’ lawyer, Kevin Parnell, disagreed with that diagnosis. He said there has to be a chance for rehabilitation since Williams is “just a kid.” He reiterated that Williams never knew his father and that his mother died from asthma in front of him in 2018.

Before the judge issued his sentence, Williams took the stand and apologized to Lucia’s family. He said that if he could, he would exchange his life to bring Lucia back.

Louis Gaskin Execution Set For Tonight

Louis Gaskin

The State of Florida is getting ready to execute Louis Gaskin tonight, April 12 2023, for a double murder. According to court documents Louis Gaskin broke into the home and would murder Robert and Georgette Sturmfels. Louis Gaskin who has been on death row in Florida since 1990. If the execution takes place it will be the 100th execution in Florida since capital punishment resumed in the 1970’s

Louis Gaskin News

Florida has ramped up executions under Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, with a man known as the “ninja killer” set to die Wednesday for the 1989 slayings of a couple visiting the state from New Jersey.

Louis Bernard Gaskin, 56, was scheduled to be executed at 6 p.m. by lethal injection for the deaths of Robert Sturmfels, 56, and Georgette Sturmfels, 55, on Dec. 20, 1989, in their Flagler County winter home on Florida’s northeastern coast.

DeSantis has been signing death warrants at a rapid pace this year as he prepares his widely expected presidential campaign. He oversaw only two executions in his first four years in office, both in 2019.

This execution comes six weeks after Donald Dillbeck, 59, was put to death for the 1990 murder of Faye Vann, 44, in Tallahassee, and three weeks before the scheduled execution of Darryl B. Barwick for slaying Rebecca Wendt, 24, in 1986 in Panama City.

Barring any stays for Gaskin and Barwick, it will be the shortest period that three executions have been carried out in Florida since three were put to death within 36 days in 2014 under former Gov. Rick Scott, also a Republican.

It will be the state’s 100th execution since the reinstatement of the death penalty in 1976. There are an additional 297 people on Florida’s death row.

Gaskin, who was dubbed the “ninja killer” because he wore all-black ninja clothing during the crimes, shot his victims with a .22-caliber rifle, investigators said. He was convicted of first-degree murder.

Property that he stole from the Sturmfels’ home — a clock, two lamps and a videocassette recorder — was found at his residence and were intended to be Christmas gifts for his girlfriend, according to investigators. He was also convicted of armed robbery, burglary and the attempted murder that same night of another couple who lived nearby.

Local media reported at the time that Gaskin quickly confessed to the crimes and told a psychologist before his trial that he knew what he was doing.

“The guilt was always there,” Louis Gaskin said. “The devil had more of a hold than God did. I knew that I was wrong. I wasn’t insane.”

Jurors voted 8-4 in 1990 to recommend the death sentence, which the judge accepted. Florida law now requires a unanimous jury vote for capital punishment, although the Legislature could send DeSantis a bill this week that would allow 8-4 jury recommendations for capital punishment.

The state and U.S. supreme courts have rejected appeals Gaskin filed since his death warrant was signed, with the latest denial coming Tuesday.

Ruth DiRienzo-Whitehead News

Ruth Whitehead-Dirienzo has been charged with murder after her 11-year-old son was found dead in her home in Horsham, Pennsylvania on Tuesday.

She has been charged with first and second-degree murder.

The mother was charged after she was missing and police found her in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey, after the discovery of her son’s body in her home, police said.

Shortly before she was found, her car was pulled from the beach of Cape May, where it was found partially submerged in the ocean, officials claim.

According to police, the incident began after officers responded to a call of an unresponsive child at a home along the 500 block of Privet Road in Horsham, Pennsylvania, at 7:06 a.m.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Horsham Police Chief Scott Fida said that the boy’s father, Daniel Whitehead, called police after he found his son dead in bed.

The officers found the boy’s body in the master bedroom where he spent the night with his mother, according to investigators.

The father told police that when he awoke on Tuesday morning he noticed the master bedroom door was locked and his wife’s black Toyota Highlander was missing from the garage.

As officers were investigating the scene early Tuesday at the home in Montgomery County, law enforcement officials in Cape May, New Jersey, said they discovered the SUV owned by the boy’s mother “partially submerged in the ocean just of Beach Avenue.”

A cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office and the investigation is ongoing.

78 Yr Old Bonnie Gooch Charged With Bank Robberies

Bonnie Gooch

Bonnie Gooch is a seventy eight year old woman from Missouri who has been charged with attempting to rob a bank

According to police reports Bonnie Gooch would walk into the Goppert Financial Bank in Pleasant Hill Missouri and handed the teller a note asking for $13,000 in small bills and would sign off the note by saying ‘Thank you, sorry I didn’t mean to scare you’.

Bonnie Gooch would make it to her vehicle and start driving away before she was pulled over by police and placed under arrest. The arresting officer noted cash spread around the car and that Gooch smelled of alcohol

Now this is not the first time that Bonnie Gooch has been arrested for robbing a bank as she has two prior convictions from 1977 and 2020. The last of which she was put on probation

Bonnie Gooch News

A 78-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with theft after police caught her fleeing from a Missouri bank with cash scattered on her car’s floorboard on Wednesday.

70c8fc80

Bonnie Gooch has two prior convictions for bank robbery, and her recent arrest suggests that the third time isn’t always the charm. She is being held on a US$25,000 bond after she was charged with one count of stealing or attempting to steal from a financial institution.

Gooch allegedly walked up to the counter of the Goppert Financial Bank in Pleasant Hill, wearing plastic gloves, black sunglasses and a face mask, and passed the bank teller a note that read, “I need 13,000 small bills.”

“Thank you sorry I didn’t mean to scare you,” the robbery note added, according to court documents filed in Cass County.

Surveillance video also captured her banging on the counter, asking the teller to hurry, Cass County prosecutors said. Gooch allegedly told the teller not to count the money and “just give it to her.”

After she was given the money, the bank robber was seen fleeing the scene in a Buick Enclave that still had its handicap registration number on display, the Kansas City Star reported.

When local officers eventually caught up with Gooch, about three kilometres down the road, they reported she smelled strongly of alcohol and had cash strewn around the floor of her car.

“It’s just sad,” Pleasant Hill police Chief Tommy Wright said, adding that the suspect had no diagnosed ailments.

Bonnie Gooch was first convicted of bank robbery in 1977, when she held up a California bank. She didn’t try to rob another financial institution for many decades until 2020, when she attempted to rob a bank in a suburb of Kansas City. Her probation in the second heist ended in November 2021.

Police were tipped off to Gooch’s 2020 heist by her son, who called them to say his mother was “off her rocker.”

Gooch’s son told police that she was angry, had a BB gun and black wig, and was saying she was going to rob a bank. About 30 minutes later, officers responded to a robbery at a Bank of the West branch.

There, a teller told police that a short, older woman wearing a wig entered the bank and handed her a blank birthday card with a note that read, “this is a robbery.” Not long after the holdup, police located Gooch’s car and she was arrested without incident, the Kansas City Star reported.

Wright told the paper on Friday that the department is looking to see if any underlying health factors may have contributed to Gooch’s third bank heist attempt, calling the situation, and the suspect’s age, “unusual.”

He told the Kansas City Star that officers were surprised when they tracked down Gooch’s vehicle after the robbery.

“When officers first approached her, they were kind of confused…. It’s a little old lady who steps out,” he said. “We weren’t sure initially that we had the right person.”

Gooch’s arraignment is set to take place on May 25.

Nicholas Tartaglione Guilty Of 4 Murders

Nicholas Tartaglione

Nicholas Tartaglione the former NYPD officer turned drug dealer was found guilty of four murders and will most likely spend the rest of his life in prison however will not face the death penalty

According to court documents Nicholas Tartaglione was upset that someone ripped him off of $200,000. Nicholas Tartaglione would lure Martin Luna to a bar in order to discuss the theft. Martin Luna would show up with Miguel Luna; his niece’s fiancé, Santiago; and a family friend, Hector Gutierrez. Before the night was over all four of them would be tortured and murdered

Nicholas Tartaglione would be arrested and later convicted of the four murders.

Nicholas Tartaglione was also briefly the cellmate of Jeffery Epstein and was briefly accused of beating Epstein up however no charges were ever filed

Nicholas Tartaglione More Newss

Former New York police officer who once shared a jail cell with Jeffrey Epstein has been convicted of killing four people in a series of murders that prosecutors have described as being “gangland-style.”

Nicholas Tartaglione was found guilty Thursday in White Plains federal court following a three-week trial on the December 2016 slayings in Otisville, which claimed the lives of Martin Luna, Miguel Luna, Urbano Santiago and Hector Gutierrez.

U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Damian Williams said Tartaglione, a “former police officer-turned drug dealer,” suspected Martin Luna stole money from him and lured Luna, his two nephews and their family friend into a “deadly trap.”

“Tartaglione’s heinous acts represent a broader betrayal, as he was a former police officer who once swore to protect the very community he devastated,” Williams said, adding that “a jury has found Tartaglione guilty of these heinous acts, sending a message that no one is above the law.”

Tartaglione, 55, retired from the Briarcliff Manor Police Department in 2008 following an injury he suffered five years earlier, according to The Associated Press.

He was allegedly selling cocaine, steroids and other drugs when he accused Martin Luna of stealing more than $200,000 from him, federal prosecutors had alleged.

On April 11, 2016, Tartaglione allegedly lured Luna to a bar in Orange County, New York, where Luna was accompanied by his nephew, Miguel Luna; his niece’s fiancé, Santiago; and a family friend, Gutierrez.

“What occurred next could only be described as pure terror, as Tartaglione tortured Martin, then forced one of his nephews to watch as Tartaglione strangled Martin to death with a zip-tie,” Williams said in a statement Thursday.

“Tartaglione and two of his associates then transported Miguel, Urbano, and Hector — who were simply at the wrong place at the wrong time — to a remote wooded location, forced them to kneel, and executed them with gunshots to the back of the head,” he continued. “Tartaglione then buried all four victims in a mass grave.”

Then-federal prosecutor Preet Bharara called the murders a “gangland-style” execution.

However, Miguel Luna, Santiago and Gutierrez were not part of the alleged drug-running operation, according to family and prosecutors.

“We commend the career prosecutors and investigators for their relentless pursuit of justice in this case over the past seven years, and for ensuring that Nicholas Tartaglione faces a lifetime in federal prison for his unconscionable murder of four men,” Williams said. “Most of all, we thank the victims’ families for trusting law enforcement to find their loved ones and see that justice was done.”

Tartaglione’s case drew national attention when he became cellmates with Epstein at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan.

On July 23, 2019, Epstein was found in his prison cell semi-conscious and balled up in the fetal position with marks on his neck, and there were accusations that Tartaglione “roughed him up.”

He was questioned, but the former cop and his lawyer fought the accusations and charges were never filed.

Epstein died of an apparent suicide the next month – on Aug. 10, 2019 – but Tartaglione was not in the cell at that time.

After Epstein’s death, the former police officer requested a transfer to a different prison, claiming he was being harassed by prison guards, according to court documents.
