“Thou shalt not kill – please take a look at this flyer. On Monday, February 12, during rush hour, this person opened fire on the subway killing a New Yorker,” NYPD Deputy Commissioner Kaz Daughtry posted on X. “We need your assistance. Help us keep our transit system safe.”

The first shots were fired as the train pulled into the elevated Bronx station shortly before 5 p.m. and continued on the crowded platform as passengers fled. Investigators found 19 shell casings, three of which were found inside a subway car.

A man, identified as Obed Beltran-Sanchez, 35, died after being shot in the chest. The five other people wounded ranged in age from 14 to 71.

Police have named the suspected teenage killer in a Bronx subway shootout, and they want help tracking him down.

Investigators say Maurice Stewart, 15, fired the shot that killed a 35-year-old man on the platform at the Mount Eden Station on Monday.

The shooting injured five other people, including a 14-year-old, who police believe was another shooter.

Police also charged a 16-year-old.

35-year-old Obed Beltran-Sanchez, was killed.

“One bullet hit him in the chest. He died almost immediately,” said Jorge Islas, Consul General of Mexico in New York. “And with that, that bullet, life on a dream, someone who was willing to do something important for his family.”

Islas says Beltran-Sanchez left behind a wife and two young daughters. It is believed he was a migrant from Mexico who crossed the border from Canada in search of construction work as a day laborer.

“He can buy a little house for his family. And he was willing to work hard in American New York, and over time, retire and go back to Mexico to work on Puebla and eventually live in the house that he was willing to build,” Islas said.

Troy Bohling Murders Eva Liu In Germany

Troy Bohling 1

Troy Bohling is an accused American killer who would murder Eva Liu in Germany

According to police reports Troy Bohling would lure two women off a trail near the Neuschwanstein castle in Germany. Once off the trail Bohiling would attempt to sexually assault Eva Liu. Bohling would push Liu companion over the ravine and continued to sexually assault. Bohling would then push Eva Liu over a 165 foot cliff causing her death. The companion would survive her fall

Troy Bohling would be arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder, rape and possession of child pornography

On the day his trial was to begin Troy Bohling would admit to the sexual assault and murder of Eva Liu. The courts in Germany are now determining whether or not his confession will stand

Troy Bohling News

American Troy Bohling confessed to rape and murder in the death of Eva Liu, a Naperville native and University of Illinoi graduate near Neuschwanstein castle in Germany.

This case put investigators on a global path from Naperville to Europe as they tried figuring out why Liu was pushed over a cliff and killed.

Just as Bohling was about to go to trial in Germany, his legal team announced a stunning admission: Bohling did rape and kill Eva Liu, as charged, and push her over a 165-foot embankment. The unexpected confession came less than a year after Liu left Naperville and went to Germany to celebrate her recent graduation from U of I.

In a matter of moments, a magnificent and picturesque 19th century castle that is thought to have inspired storybooks and fairy tales became the backdrop for a horror story.

Last June, 31-year-old Bohling, from suburban Detroit, went on a deranged sex and shoving spree. On a hiking path, Bohling targeted two Illinois women who were traveling together in Germany to celebrate their new U of I degrees. As 21-year-old Liu, a former student at Naperville Central and the Illinois Math and Science Academy, was being assaulted by Bohling, her friend and U of I classmate, 22-year-old Kelsey Chang, tried to stop the attack. Chang, from Bloomington, was pushed into the 165 foot ravine. Liu was then also tossed down the steep wooded cliff.

Helicopters and ground rescue teams had a difficult mission that day. They recovered Liu’s body. She didn’t survive the gorge. Chang did.

Bohling was arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder, rape and possession of child pornography. He shielded his face while being brought into a German court for trial on Monday.

As German justice officials were preparing to begin proceedings, Bohling’s attorney said his client admitted to the crimes.

According to German officials, the court will now consider Bohling’s confession. If convicted, they will also decide whether to extradite him to serve a sentence closer to his Michigan home.

An 11th hour confession is unusual but not unheard of. In 2019, downstate trial defendant, Brendt Christensen, did the same thing. Oddly, the case also involved a female victim connected to U of I. Christensen’s last-second strategy and admission likely kept him from the executioner. He’s now serving life without parole. Germany doesn’t have the death penalty; but it may take until sentencing to determine Bohling’s motivation for his late game confession.

Troy Bohling More News

Troy Phillip Bohling has reportedly confessed to rape and murder charges less than a year after pushing two women down a ravine near Germany’s Neuschwanstein Castle.

The June 14, 2023 incident left 21-year-old Eva Liu dead and 22-year-old Kelsey Chang injured, according to The Telegraph.

“The defendant has committed an unfathomable crime,” said defense lawyer Philip Mueller via statement, according to the Associated Press, citing the German news agency Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA).

According to the AP, Bohling, who is American, didn’t answer any questions but confirmed that the statement was correct. In the German legal system, defendants do not formally enter pleas to charges, notes the AP.

According to the BBC, Mueller also told the court that Bohling did not commit his actions with intent and “acted spontaneously.” Per the outlet, Mueller said Bohling was “deeply ashamed” of his actions.

The news comes months after the Michigan native was charged with murder, rape with fatal consequences, attempted murder, and possession of child pornography. At the earliest, a verdict is expected to be announced in mid-March, according to the AP.

Troy Bohling met the women while hiking on a trail close to the castle, which is said to have been the inspiration for Disney’s Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella movies, according to The Telegraph. The two women had been on a trip abroad after graduating from the University of Illinois, per the outlet.

Per The Telegraph, he told the women that he was going to take them to a spot that had a better view of the castle for selfies when he pushed Liu to the ground and allegedly raped her. After Chang attempted to intervene, he allegedly pushed her into a ravine.

Troy Bohling allegedly continued raping Liu and filmed it. According to the outlet, he allegedly then choked her with a belt and pushed her into the same ravine while she was unconscious. While both women fell in the same area, Chang survived despite the fall, while Liu died as a result of her injuries later that same night, per The Telegraph.

It was during the investigation that authorities learned that Troy Bohling’s laptop and cellphone contained child pornography, per the NY Post.

The Colorado Springs Police Department said officers arrested Nicholas Jordan, 25, without incident on two counts of first-degree murder. Jordan, who is from Detroit, was a student at the school at the time of the shooting on Friday, Feb. 16, said university spokesperson Jenna Press.

The victims were identified as Celie Rain Montgomery, 26, and Samuel Knopp, 24, a student at the university about 69 miles south of Denver. Montgomery was not currently enrolled.

After getting an arrest warrant, the police’s motor vehicle theft unit found Jordan in a car and the tactical enforcement unit took him into custody in Colorado Springs, police announced on the social media platform X.

Friday’s shooting was an isolated incident between people who knew one another and was not a random attack on the university, police said. While the coroner’s office will determine how they died, each victim was shot at least once, police previously said.

The police department was called early Friday morning about shots fired from the university’s dormitory, Creston House, where they found the two already dead.

A campus-wide lockdown was issued for 90 minutes after the shooting, and the university remained closed for the day and through the weekend. Monday classes have been canceled while the school offers walk-in counseling.

Dozens gathered for a memorial walk Monday at the school, which is home to more than 11,000 students and nearly 2,000 faculty and staff.

It’s unknown if Jordan has an attorney who can comment on his behalf. Court records aren’t yet available in the case, and a hearing hasn’t been scheduled.

Pamela Maye Charged In Darnell Taylor Murder

pamela maye Darnell Taylor

Pamela Maye is a woman from Ohio who was the foster mother of Darnell Taylor. Darnell was reported missing and police would later find the five year old’s body and now Maye has been charged with his murder

According to police reports Pamela Maye would wake up her husband and told him that Darnell Taylor had been hurt. Maye would then leave the residence with the five year old and police were notified and a search began

Darnell Taylor body would be found in a sewage drain in Columbus Ohio after Pamela Maye would tell officers where they could find his body after she was arrested yesterday

Pamela Maye has been charged with murder, first-degree felony kidnapping and third-degree felony endangering children.

Pamela Maye News

A 5-year-old missing Ohio boy has been found dead, and his foster mother has been arrested and charged with his murder, the Columbus Division of Police announced at a Friday morning press conference.

Darnell Taylor had been missing since Wednesday, and police feared for his safety after his foster mother, Pammy Maye, 48, woke her husband up in their Columbus home to tell him the boy had been hurt. She then fled the scene in a Jeep Cherokee, and a statewide Amber Alert was issued for Taylor at around 5:10 a.m.

Taylor was found dead by police in a sewage drain in the 1000 block of Marsdale Avenue, in southwest Columbus, at around 1 a.m. Friday morning after Maye told the Columbus Division of Police about his whereabouts.

Police had arrested Maye in the Cleveland suburb of Brooklyn on Thursday at around 9:40 p.m. wearing a nightgown, and she was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Her vehicle had been found in the nearby Parkview Estates apartment complex. Brooklyn is about 150 miles from Columbus.

“We have reached a pivotal point in this investigation, we have some very unfortunate news to share,” Chief Elaine R. Bryant said at the press briefing.

“This is a tragic development….this is not the outcome that we wanted but we are going to make sure that we can do everything we can to bring justice for Darnell.”

Bryant said police could not provide details about the boy’s death, given the case is now a homicide investigation.

The jeep Maye was believed to be driving was found in the parking lot of a Brooklyn, Ohio, apartment complex a few hours after the Amber Alert was issued. The vehicle was about 150 miles from the home in Columbus where the situation first began.

Maye’s husband had called 911 shortly before 3 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to a court document seen by WCMH, Maye’s husband told a 911 operator that she killed the child, allegedly saying the boy was no longer alive and had not been seen since Monday or Tuesday.

The document said while he was on the phone with dispatchers, Maye tried to cover her husband’s mouth while telling him she had a plan, WCMH reports.

She then fled their Columbus house during the call.

Her husband also said in the call that she suffered from bipolar disorder, a mental illness that causes unusual shifts in a person’s mood, energy, activity levels, and concentration.

Pamela Maye was also charged with first-degree felony kidnapping and third-degree felony endangering children.

Pamela Maye Other News

An Ohio Amber Alert was activated statewide early Wednesday morning by the Columbus Police Department as authorities continue their search for a missing boy identified as 5-year-old Darnell Taylor — and police have confirmed the suspect’s vehicle was found near Cleveland.

Columbus police announced during a brief press conference early Friday morning that a body believed to be that of Darnell’s had been found.

“This is a tragic development and we certainly hoped for a different outcome,” said Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant.

The situation started shortly after 3 a.m. when officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Reeb Avenue in Columbus. Police say the caller stated that his wife — 48-year-old Pamela Maye — woke him up and made statements that made him believe Darnell, who is their foster child, had been hurt. Police report the caller also said that Maye abruptly left the residence in a 2015 Jeep Cherokee.

Columbus police gave an update on Thursday afternoon regarding the Amber Alert.

“Based on this investigation, we are going to continue to follow every lead we have,” Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant said. “We will continue to do so until we have located Darnell and Pam.”

During the press conference, officials urged the residents of Northeast Ohio, specifically those in Linndale, Brooklyn, and Cleveland, to contact (614) 645-2228 if they saw a 2015 Jeep Cherokee between 5-6 a.m. on Wednesday.

Officials also urged business owners in Northeast Ohio to contact police if the vehicle stopped at their business.

Records from Franklin County Municipal Court show a warrant has been issued for Pamela Maye’s arrest on charges of kidnapping and endangering children.

At the end of the press conference, Bryant urged Pamela Maye to contact the police.

“Pammy, if you’re watching this, can you please reach out and contact us? We need to know that Darnell is safe, and we need to know if you are safe. Reach out, contact us, let us know that you are okay,” said Bryant.

Also on Thursday, officials released the full 911 call from Maye’s husband. According to his recounting of events, Maye told him that “she killed out son.”

“She just woke me up and said, ‘He’s not here no more,'” the caller claimed. “I said, ‘What did you do to him?’ She said, ‘He’s not alive,’ and then when I tried to grab the phone to call you, she started fighting me.”

The caller also told authorities that Pamela Maye suffers from depression and bipolar disorder but has been taking medicine for it. At this time, officials have given every indication that they still believe Darnell is alive.

3News reached out to the Brooklyn Police Department for an update on its search for Pamela Maye and Taylor. Acting Police Chief Lieutenant Cindy Eschweiler says while the department has no new information, they have been working with the U.S. Marshals Service.

“Unfortunately, they’re (U.S. Marshals) still working on leads,” Eschweiler added.

The Ohio Amber Alert was issued with Columbus police saying Darnell was believed to have been abducted.

A short time later, another Amber Alert blast was sent out shortly before 6 a.m. that declared “last seen near Cleveland.” Columbus police told 3News they were alerted that the suspect’s vehicle could be in the Cleveland area after receiving a Flock hit (license plate readers) on the Jeep. Columbus police later confirmed it was found in Brooklyn, Ohio, shortly before 6 a.m.

Brooklyn police impounded the vehicle.

Although the vehicle was located, police say Darnell and Maye remain missing.

Darnell is described as having black hair and brown eyes. Police say it’s believed he may be wearing Spider-Man pajamas and white boots.

Pamela Maye is described as 4’9” tall, weighs 115 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She was reportedly last seen wearing a green floral nightgown with pink shoes.

When a reporter asked Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant if it’s believed the child is still alive, she offered this response: “We have no idea what we’re dealing with right now. That’s why we’re asking for the public’s assistance. Any information you can give us, we would greatly appreciate it.”

Anybody who has information or sees the child, suspect or vehicle is asked to call 911. Columbus police also have a tip line you can call at 614-645-2228. Residents in Columbus and Brooklyn are also being asked to “search their private property for anything that appears to be missing or is out of place.”
