Darreon Parker-Bell Opens Fire In A Police Station

Darreon Parker-Bell

Darreon Parker-Bell would walk into a Wisconsin police station and open fire following the death of a friend two days earlier. According to police reports Darreon Parker-Bell friend Keishon D. Thomas had died at the police station after ingesting drugs while he was arrested. Darreon Parker-Bell would go to the same police station asking questions regarding Keishon D. Thomas death investigation before pulling out two guns and opening fire. After exchanging gun shots with police Darreon Parker-Bell would flee from the station however he would be arrested a short time later. Darreon Parker-Bell is facing a host of charges including attempted first-degree intentional homicide and seven counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety.

Darreon Parker-Bell More News

Darreon Parker-Bell told investigators from his hospital bed he hoped police would return fire and kill him when he allegedly shot at Milwaukee Police Department employees inside its District Five station last week.

Those details were included in a criminal complaint filed Wednesday, as prosecutors charged the 23-year-old Milwaukee man with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and seven counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety.

Darreon Parker-Bell fired a .40 caliber semiautomatic pistol three times inside the station — injuring no one — after he asked an officer working the front counter for information relating to Keishon Thomas, 20, who died in a holding cell at the same facility two days earlier, the complaint said.

He then fled the station on foot and was later shot and injured by police several blocks away. Seven officers have been placed on administrative duty as a result

Angel Harrell, Parker-Bell’s girlfriend, has said Parker-Bell and Thomas were like brothers to each other. Prior to Thomas’ death, Parker-Bell was already devastated by the deaths of at least three relatives and had been making statements Harrell interpreted as suicidal, she said.

Parker-Bell told police he had been experiencing mental health issues as a result of several hardships in his life — Thomas’ death in particular, according to the complaint.

“I’m not saying that he did right, because I’m very angry with how he handled it, but he wasn’t in the right state of mind,” Harrell said. “He wasn’t. He couldn’t keep taking that heartbreak.”

Thomas was arrested in the early morning of Feb. 23 following a traffic stop and was booked into a holding cell at District Five, 2920 Vel R. Phillips Ave. After spending roughly 16 hours in custody, officers noticed he required medical attention. He died despite life-saving efforts from police and fire personnel.

The Waukesha Police Department is the lead outside agency investigating Thomas’ death. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office said it found no trauma during an autopsy, but the cause of death is pending a toxicology report, which can take weeks to complete.

Thomas’ family has already arranged for a second autopsy to be performed through the Know Your Rights Camp, a group funded by former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The organization provides free autopsies for families of those who died in a “police-related death.”

It is unclear how soon that autopsy could be performed.

Police said Thomas was arrested during the traffic stop because a warrant for his arrest had been issued, and that suspected illegal narcotics were found in his possession. Online court records show a warrant was issued for Thomas in 2021 after he failed to attend a court hearing regarding a nonviolent misdemeanor offense.

The Police Department has said it previously did not ask arrested persons whether they had recently ingested prescription drugs or narcotics while being booked into a holding cell, but will do so now.

Three officers have been suspended pending the results of the investigation into Thomas’ death.

According to Parker-Bell’s criminal complaint:

At about 3:03 p.m. Feb. 25, Parker-Bell entered the station and spoke to an officer working the front counter in the lobby. Three civilians were also present, along with four workers behind the counter.

Parker-Bell asked for information about Thomas’ death. After the officer said he did not have any, and was unauthorized to divulge any if he did, Parker-Bell pulled out a gun and fired one round into the ground.

He then took several steps backward while facing the counter, as other patrons and workers ducked for cover. As the officer slowly stood up to look above the counter, Parker-Bell fired another shot toward him, breaking a partition that was inches from his head.

Parker-Bell then fired a third shot toward the area of the counter. A second officer emerged and fired three shots at Parker-Bell, who then fled through a residential area.

As officers pursued, Parker-Bell brandished his gun in their direction several times and refused to follow commands. Several officers then fired at him and injured him.

Leniz Escobar Teen Killer Guilty Of 4 Murders

Leniz Escobar

Leniz Escobar is a teen killer from New York who participated in the murders of four people. According to court documents Leniz Escobar was seventeen years old when she lured five men: Justin Llivicura, Michael Lopez, Jorge Tigre ,Jefferson Villalobos and a fifth man to a park where they would be ambushed by MS-13 gang members. Four of the five men would be killed and the unidentified fifth man would escape and would later testify against the gang members and Leniz Escobar. Leniz Escobar would be arrested, convicted and will be sentenced later this year.

Leniz Escobar More News

A woman who was accused of helping the MS-13 gang kill four young men on Long Island in 2017 has been found guilty on all counts, federal prosecutors said Monday. Leniz Escobar was convicted in connection with her participation in the April 11, 2017 murders of Justin Llivicura, Michael Lopez, Jorge Tigre and Jefferson Villalobos.

Escobar, now 22, faces up to life in prison when she is sentenced.

Escobar, also known as “La Diablita” or “Little Devil,” allegedly lured five men to a park in Central Islip to smoke marijuana. When they got there, the victims were attacked by gang members with machetes, knives, an axe and wooden clubs, prosecutors said.

One ran off, but the other four were killed. Prosecutors say the MS-13 members believed the victims were “members of a rival gang, at least two of whom had disrespected the MS-13 by posting photos on social media.”

The four victims — who were between the ages of 16 and 20 — were found hacked to death with what police described as “significant trauma” wounds that Suffolk County Police Commissioner Timothy Sini said at the time indicated the work of MS-13.

“After the attack, the MS-13 members dragged the victims’ bodies to a more secluded spot in the woods, piled them up, and then fled,” prosecutors said, adding that the bodies were discovered the following evening.

In the days following the murders, prosecutors allege Escobar “bragged to other MS-13 members about her role in the killings” and discussed the attack in detail in recorded calls with her boyfriend.

Prosecutors also say Escobar destroyed evidence of her involvement in the murders by disposing of a sweatshirt stained with a victim’s blood and tossing her cell phone from a car while being followed by the police.

“With today’s verdict, Escobar has been held responsible for the crucial role that she willingly played in orchestrating one of the most vicious and senseless mass murders in the district in memory,” said United States Attorney Peace.  “The defendant showed utter disregard for human life by leading the victims into a killing field, to their slaughter, to enhance her stature with her fellow cold-blooded murderers within the MS-13 gang.”

More than a dozen MS-13 members and associates have been charged in connection with the 2017 killings.

MS-13, also called Mara Salvatrucha, is believed to have been founded as a neighborhood street gang in Los Angeles in the mid-1980s by immigrants fleeing a civil war in El Salvador. It grew after some members were deported to El Salvador, helping turn that country into one of the most violent places in the world.

The gang is now a major international criminal enterprise, with tens of thousands of members in several Central American countries and many U.S. states.

Jeremiah Ryan More News

A 17-year-old arrested for the shooting death of a girl in the Bronx has been charged with murder.

Jeremiah Ryan, 17, was arraigned and charged late Saturday with second degree murder, attempted murder, manslaughter and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

The charges stem from a shooting Friday afternoon that left 16-year-old Angellyh Yambo dead and two other teens injured.

Investigators said Yambo had just left Bronx Preparatory Charter School in the South Bronx when gunfire rang out at the corner of E. 156th And St. Anns around 1:45 p.m.

Yambo’s heartbroken mother spoke out Saturday.

“I sent my daughter to get an education and she died,” said Yambo’s mother, Yanely Henriquez.

A series of surveillance videos turned Ryan in at his home. Police say a ghost gun may have been used in the fatal shooting. Officers recovered six shell casings at the scene.

“A child that has zero police contact at all. And he goes from smoking marijuana to killing somebody — and I just don’t have that answer for you,” said NYPD Assistant Chief Timothy McCormack.

“We have to do something we have to do something, I don’t know to laws to be stricter about purchasing guns and all that stuff — something needs to be done,” said Henriquez.

On Sunday, Senator Charles Schumer addressed the recent “explosion” in ghost guns in New York City and Long Island, calling on the federal government to rein in the unregulated weapons.

He says the unregulated nature of the firearms and the fact that they are available to anyone without the need for a background check are the major reasons why ghost guns are so dangerous.

Yambo was struck in the chest while another 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were each hit in the leg.

All three were taken to Lincoln Hospital where Yambo was pronounced dead. The other teens are expected to survive their injuries. They are all believed to be innocent bystanders.

“We are all devastated, we are numb, we are in disbelief. Now I have to get strong for my two older kids,” added Henriquez.

Now, a heartbroken mother is trying to get answers.

“I still don’t understand why — why her? It’s questions after questions after questions,” Henriquez said.

The painful reality is there may be no answers.

“For him, I will let God take care of it. I will let God take care of it, but I wish he dies in jail and pays for what he did to my child,” said Henriquez.

Police said the shooting stemmed from two people who were shouting and gesturing toward each other from across the street.

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection to the shooting death of a 16-year-old Marion County boy.

Joshua Vining, 17, and Colton Whitler, 17, were arrested on Thursday. Vining is facing an aggravated manslaughter of a child with a firearm charge. Police say Whitler was arrested on a charge of providing false information to Law Enforcement.

Belleview police say on Sunday, April 3, they responded to SE 52nd Court where the victim, Christoper Leroy Broad Jr., had been shot inside the home. He was taken to the hospital where he died.

Investigators say they discovered evidence to prove that Vining shot and killed Broad. The arrest of the two caught on an officer’s body cam.

“Through the investigation, it was determined that Vining and Broad were taking turns shooting at each other while wearing a vest which contained a form of body armor. Vining shot at Broad while he was wearing the vest, and he was struck,” the police department said.

“I walked out past my truck, and I saw a teenaged boy come out of that trailer next door screaming all hysterical,” said Joe Vanhouten, who lives next door and said he woke up to gunshots.

“What I know of him, I mean, I guess you’d say a typical teenager,” Vanhouten said. “I know they don’t really realize the consequences of some of the stuff they do.”

Whitler, who was initially interviewed as a witness to the shooting, allegedly misled officials with inaccurate information about what took place and who shot Broad.

Vining and Whitler are both being charged as adults.

According to court documents, the victim who survived told police that he and his friend, 33-year-old Justin Kammerich, were standing outside their apartments when they were approached by a man with a Glock pistol with an extended magazine who tried to rob them. Before they could turn over their belongings, the shooter, 16-year-old Jahaun Whirley, shot them both multiple times before running away.

A witness told police that Whirley came knocking on his door the next day looking for his cell phone, which he apparently had lost sometime during the commission of the homicide. The witness said Whirley had an aggressive demeanor about him and believed his phone was at the witness’s residence.

Police searched Whirley’s residence, and found a bag containing a Glock pistol with an extended magazine and a round in the chamber.
