According to police reports Diana Cullom sixteen year old daughter would come home from school and find her four year old brother Finley Cullom dead from stab wounds. The sixteen year old would also find her mother with stab wounds
Diana Cullom would be brought to the hospital to treat her injuries and then she would be arrested for the murder of Finley Cullom.
Officers have said that a note was found at the Cullom household but did not say what the note contained.

A St. Pete mother has been charged with first-degree murder after her 4-year-old boy was found stabbed to death on Tuesday, according to police.
Officers arrived at the scene after the boy’s 16-year-old sister came home from school and found her brother, Finley Cullom, dead. She also found her mom, 43-year-old Diana Cullom, with stab wounds, according to detectives. She was taken to the hospital before she was officially charged on Wednesday with her son’s murder.
St. Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway said the knife and a note were found at the scene.
“It is our belief that the note was left by mom,” Holloway stated during a press briefing on Tuesday evening.
They didn’t say what exactly was in the note, and police still don’t know about the mom’s mental health history.
According to Holloway, the children’s father, who was not home at the time, was notified, and after going to the scene, he went to the police station to talk with investigators.
The chief said police have not been dispatched to the home in the past.
“A lot of these officers, they have kids, and then you have the 16-year-old who’s coming home from school and finding her brother and her mother. And then you’re just having a father come here. So right now in the neighborhood, everybody’s heart is heavy,” said Holloway.
Police say they are providing victim services and resources to the 16-year-old and responding officers and firefighters.

The St. Petersburg Police Department has launched an investigation after a 4-year-old child was found dead inside a home on Tuesday.
Officers responded to the home off Tanglewood Drive Northeast around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a call from a 16-year-old who came home to find her younger brother dead, according to St. Pete Police Chief Anthony Holloway.
“She walked into the house, she sees blood everywhere, she sees her 4-year-old brother… you come to the conclusion,” the police chief said.
Authorities said the boy, identified as Finley Joseph Cullom, appeared to have been stabbed to death. His mother was also at the home and had wounds on her body. The mother was taken to a hospital, and investigators said they plan to interview her later.
According to medical examiners, it was determined that there were no stab wounds on the child. The child had been suffocated.
“She has wounds throughout her body. We don’t know if they’re self-inflicted, but right now, for what will be from evidence, it looks like the mom stabbed the baby,” Holloway said.
The mother, Diana Cullom, 43, was taken into custody early Wednesday morning.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Cullom is charged with murder in the first degree.
SPPD said Cullom had self-inflicted stab wounds.
The boy’s father was not home at the time, according to officials. Police said they also found a note left by the mother and a knife in the home.
Investigators were speaking with neighbors Tuesday evening and working to get a search warrant. Holloway said there was no history of calls for service at the home.
According to the police chief, detectives were “looking at everything” to determine exactly what happened at the residence. No further information was immediately available.
