Paris Mayo Teen Killer Murders Newborn

Paris Mayo teen killer

Paris Mayo was just fifteen years old when this teen killer would give birth at her family home. Instead of calling for help Paris would murder the newborn by inflicting a ton of damage and crushing his skull and stuffing cotton down the newborn throat so he would suffocate.

It would take nearly four years for Paris Mayo to go to trial and when she did she would be convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison with no shot at parole for twelve years

A 19-year-old who murdered her newborn son hours after giving birth has been jailed for at least 12 years.

A trial heard Paris Mayo, then 15, suffocated the boy, Stanley, by stuffing cotton wool into his mouth and throat.

Paris Mayo delivered him alone at her family home in Ross-on-Wye, in March 2019, while her parents were upstairs.

“Killing your baby son was a truly dreadful thing to do,” said the judge, Mr Justice Garnham, passing sentence.

The trial heard she had assaulted Stanley, leaving him with injuries comparable to those seen in a car crash.

“How you did this is not clear, but I suspect you crushed his head, probably beneath your foot,” the judge told Paris Mayo.

Her initial assault caused him “serious damage”, but did not kill him, the judge added.

“He remained alive and continued to breathe for at least an hour. You decided you had to finish Stanley off by stuffing cotton wool balls into his throat.”

The newborn was found by Mayo’s mother the day after his birth, dumped in a bin bag left on the doorstep.

It was she who alerted emergency services in an emotional 999 call played to the jury.

Paris Mayo had claimed she did not know she was pregnant, also telling the court of her difficult family life and her father who had made her feel “worthless”.

In her testimony, she described how she started having sex at 13 and used it as a way to get people to like her, because she was “insecure” due to her family situation.

The court heard her father Patrick Mayo – who died 10 days after Stanley – had been upstairs on dialysis treatment with Mayo’s mother at the time of the birth.

“You went through the process of giving birth without the assistance of a midwife, a doctor, a friend or a relative. I find as a fact that you were frightened and traumatised by those events.,” Mr Justice Garnham said during sentencing.

“Astonishingly, despite the pain you must have endured, it seems you did not cry out, so anxious were you not to disturb your parents sleeping upstairs.”

Defence barrister Bernard Richmond KC described Paris Mayo as a “pathetic and vulnerable individual” who had not been supported by people around her.

“When faced with a decision she had to make, she did not face up to it. By the time she had to, the decision she made was woefully, woefully wrong,” he said.

“This will, in every sense of the word, be a life sentence. It will be a lonely, isolating and frightening time for her.”

The jury were given the option to consider an alternative verdict of infanticide if they believed she killed Stanley while the balance of her mind was disturbed.

However, Paris Mayo, of Ruardean in Gloucestershire, cried in the dock on Friday as jurors delivered a majority guilty verdict on the charge of murder.

During summing up Mr Justice Garnham rejected the suggestion the murder was committed “with significant pre-planning”.

He added that Mayo had not spent her time covering up her pregnancy, but in March 2019 had found herself “facing a reality you had spent nine months telling yourself could not be true”.

However, he said the combination of a two-stone weight gain and the lack of periods for eight months meant she “must have known” she was pregnant and “rapidly approaching your time for giving birth”.

Despite that, the judge said Mayo “told no one, and sought no help”.

“You did not even tell your mother who you accepted in court would, at least after the initial shock, have been supportive,” he said.

“I find as a fact that almost as soon as Stanley was born, you had decided you could not allow him to live.”

The judge also used his sentencing remarks to criticise a prosecution expert witness, describing forensic psychiatrist Dr Duncan Harding’s “inflexibility of thinking” while giving evidence as “unhelpful”.

“He had told the police that you ought to be prosecuted, a surprising opinion for an expert called to give evidence on a defendant’s mental state to express,” Mr justice Garnham said.

It was apparent he had a “clear and unshakeable view on your culpability from the time of his very first meeting with you.”

A spokesperson for the Crown Prosecution Service said the case had been both “tragic and complex”.

Stanley’s “short life was filled with pain and suffering when he should have been nurtured and loved”.

“[Mayo] chose to hide her pregnancy, give birth alone and kill her baby, then hide his body, despite accepting that she had a family who would have supported her.”

Emily Reznick Murders Mother

Emily Reznick

Emily Reznick was a fifteen year old living in California when this teen killer would murder her mother. According to court documents Emily Reznick and her boyfriend Nikolai Thorn Roach would plan the murder of her mother 54-year-old Michelle Louise Taylor.

Emily Reznick would stab her mother repeatedly with a knife she dubbed Buddy Buck. When arrested Emily told police that her mother had physically abused her and the killing was in self defense however this story would soon fall apart

Emily Reznick whose middle name is Evil would be found guilty and will spend til the age of 25 in secure custody youth facility. Nikolai Thorn Roach would receive the same sentence.

Emily Reznick News

A 16-year-old California girl will spend nearly a decade behind bars after admitting that she killed her mother last year after hatching the plan with her boyfriend and using a knife she had nicknamed “Buddy Buck.

Kern County Superior Court Judge Wendy Avila on Wednesday ordered Emily Evil Reznick to remain in a secure youth facility until she turns 25 for the July 2022 murder of her mother, 54-year-old Michelle Louise Taylor, authorities confirmed to Law&Crime.

Because Reznick was only 15 at the time of the slaying, she could not be charged as an adult in the Golden State. The California Supreme Court in 2019 unanimously upheld a state law requiring all defendants under the age of 16 to be tried in juvenile court, where convicted offenders can not be incarcerated beyond age 25.

“You haven’t even begun to comprehend the magnitude of what you’ve done,” Avila told Reznick during a Wednesday hearing, according to a report from Bakersfield NBC affiliate KGET-TV. “Your mother was your victim.”

Judge Avila also reportedly castigated Reznick for her lack of remorse, recounting conversations the teen had about killing her mother and saying she spoke about her like she was not even “a real human being.”

“The minor’s disregard for human life and her ability to commit this crime is deeply troubling to this court,” Avila reportedly said during the hearing.

Reznick’s boyfriend, Nikolai Thorn Roach, earlier this month also pleaded guilty to charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Judge Avila similarly sentenced him to remain in custody for Taylor’s “premeditated and gruesome” murder until he turns 25, Brownsville NBC affiliate KVEO-TV reported.

During Wednesday’s dispositional hearing, Assistant Kern County District Attorney Christine Antonios told the court that Reznick and Roach spent about a month planning Taylor’s murder, and prosecutors had the texts to prove it, according to KGET.

The texts reportedly showed Reznick telling Roach when to come to the house and what he should wear, while also touching on getaway plans and alibis. Messages also reportedly showed that Reznick had named the murder weapon, using the moniker “Buddy Buck” to refer to the knife she used to fatally stab Taylor multiple times.

The young couple also debated whether they should kill Taylor’s live-in boyfriend, Antonios reportedly said. In the immediate aftermath of the stabbing, Reznick reportedly told friends that she thought Taylor’s live-in boyfriend may have been the one who killed her. She also suggested that her mother may have taken her own life, KGET reported.

Following her arrest, Emily Reznick — who has said she was abused by her mother for much of her life — told police she was acting in self-defense, but the aforementioned text messages belied that claim.

Police on July 7, 2022 responded to a 911 call from a home located on Arthur Avenue in Oildale, just over 100 miles northwest of Los Angeles. The caller was later identified as Taylor’s live-in boyfriend, who was the first person to find her.

Upon arriving at the scene, first responders found Taylor unresponsive and suffering from what appeared to be several stab wounds.

Emily Reznick and Roach were arrested the following day. While the young couple was in the back of a police vehicle equipped with a recording device, Reznick blamed her mom’s boyfriend for wrecking their plans, KGET reported.

In a grimly prescient move, she also reportedly told Roach that he shouldn’t be worried because they were both only 15 and would only be sent to “kid prison” for a little while.

Claire Miller Guilty Of Sisters Murder

claire miller

Claire Miller was a fourteen year old teen killer from Pennsylvania who would murder her sister. According to court documents Claire Miller would stab her nineteen year old sister Helen to death in 2021. Helen Miller who had Cerebral Palsy was murdered as her parents slept. Apparently Claire Miller was jealous that her parents attention was focused on her older sister.

Before the trial was to begin Claire Miller would plead guilty to murder but mentally ill. With the plea deal agreement she will spend between 12 1/2 to 40 years.

Claire Miller More News

A Lancaster County teen has pled guilty but mentally ill to a charge of third-degree murder in connection with the stabbing of her sister in February 2021.

Claire Miller, now 16, of Manheim Township, will serve 12 1/2 to 40 years in prison, officials say.

“The events that bring us here today are incoherently tragic,” Judge Jeffery Wright said. “Mr. and Mrs. Miller sit here on the difficult challenge of supporting both the victim and the defendant.” A person who waives his/her right to trial may plead guilty but mentally ill.

“While all homicides are tragic, this case was particularly sad because the victim was her own sister and unable to defend herself,” District Attorney Heather Adams said. “The pain this must have caused the family is unthinkable. “The Commonwealth does not dispute that Miller suffered from a mental health event at the time of this offense, but it legally did not excuse the conduct. The sentence imposed today holds her accountable for the crime committed, but balances the nature of this offense, her young age, her mental condition at the time and the protection of society. The onus now rests with the Department of Corrections to appropriately treat her mental illness and only grant parole when it is clear that she is no longer a threat to the public.”

On February 22, 2021, Miller stabbed her 19-year-old sister, Helen, who had Cerebral Palsy, to death.

Police say the crime happened while their parents were sleeping.

The Lancaster County District Attorney says Miller will be committed to a State Prison to serve her sentence.

Teen Heavenly Arroyo Gets Life For Murder

Heavenly Arroyo

Heavenly Arroyo was fifteen years old when she stabbed to death an elderly woman with a pair of scissors in Fall River New York. According to court reports Heavenly Arroyo would stab 68-year-old Ana Vasquez-Rodriguez 70 times with a pair of scissors. Ana Vasquez-Rodriguez who was bedridden due to a stroke would die from the stabbing. Heavenly Arroyo would eventually plead guilty and the now eighteen year old was sentenced to life in prison with possibility of parole. This teen killer must serve nineteen years in prison before her first parole hearing.

Heavenly Arroyo More News

Heavenly Arroyo, an 18-year-old Fall River woman, who three years ago stabbed a 68-year-old woman to death inside her relative’s home, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Fall River Superior Court to Second Degree Murder, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III announced.

The defendant was sentenced by Judge Renee Dupuis to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 19 years.

On Oct. 6, 2019, the defendant entered Ana Vasquez-Rodriguez’s bedroom and stabbed her 70 times.  The homicide took place in the Johnson Street home of the defendant’s great-uncle, who had taken custody of the defendant at the request of the defendant’s mother a week prior to the killing.  The victim was the mother of the great-uncle’s girlfriend.

On Oct. 6, the great-uncle and his girlfriend were planning on taking the defendant to New York to visit another relative and obtain some legal documents in order to help the couple to formally gain custody of the troubled defendant.  The trip, however, was delayed due to car problems.  As the day wore on, the defendant became increasingly agitated and impatient. Then, late in the afternoon, the defendant retrieved a pair of scissors from the kitchen, went up to the victim’s bedroom and murdered her.  The victim was bed-ridden after suffering a stroke and could not defend herself.

At the time of the killing, the only other person inside the home was the victim’s grandson, who was playing a video game with a headset on. After killing the victim, the defendant showered, disposed of her clothing in a nearby dumpster and told the victim’s grandson that his grandmother wasn’t well.  When the grandson looked in on his grandmother, he immediately called 911 and police arrived shortly thereafter.  At first, the defendant claimed she was outside with the dog and witnessed a masked man running from the home, but while in custody she made a series of inculpatory, spontaneous admissions.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Dennis Collins and Maryclare Flynn.

“This case was a tragedy for everyone involved. The defendant brutally murdered the victim, who was only trying to help her move forward with her life.  The defendant was 15 at the time and suffering from mental health issues.  However, the facts of the case clearly show she is a danger to the community and the state prison sentence is appropriate,” District Attorney Quinn said.  “My heart goes out to the victim’s family, who was present in court yesterday. There is nothing any of them could have done to prevent this terrible incident from occurring. I hope the resolution of this case brings some closure to them and they can try to move forward with their lives.”
