Tiamo Drakeford is an alleged killer from South Carolina who has been charged with two murders
According to police reports the bodies of Christine McAbee, 35, and Kristen Grissom, 38, were found in a clearing in Sumter County South Carolina in August 2025
After a lengthy investigation police have announced that Tiamo Drakeford was arrested and charged with the double murder. Police believe that the two women were murdered and then later brought to the location where they would be found
An odd twist to this case is that Christine McAbee died from a gunshot however there was no signs of trauma to Kristen Grissom that would have caused her death
Along with the murder charges Tiamo Drakeford has been charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and desecration of human remains

Authorities have confirmed an arrest in connection with a case involving two women who were found dead in the Midlands last month.
The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said 29-year-old Tiamo Henry Mitchell Drakeford, of Camden, was arrested Friday and charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime as well as desecration of human remains.
The sheriff’s office confirmed Drakeford is charged in the deaths of Christine McAbee and Kristen Grissom. Both women, who were from the Lowcountry, were found dead in an area of Richbow Road on Aug. 8.
It was later determined McAbee died of a gunshot wound, while Grissom’s autopsy did not reveal any physical trauma.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing despite Drakeford being taken into custody. More arrests are also expected.
“Every person from each of these agencies has worked tirelessly to assist my office in solving this case,” Sumter County Sheriff Anthony Dennis said in a statement. “I have always found it refreshing to be a part of a true team effort to bring closure to our citizens and the families of victims. I am truly humbled and thankful for everyone’s tireless dedication.”
Dennis also noted that he believes this was “a targeted crime and not a random act of violence.”
The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said the North Charleston Police Department, City of Camden Police Department, Richland County Sheriff’s Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
Records show Drakeford is being held at the Sumter County Detention Center as of Friday evening.
